Really close to everything you want to see. The staff organized parking for the car and proposed some basic instructions on getting around. The room was not big, but very functional.

Our room was looking at a smaller street with some restaurants and caffes, it was impossible to get a good night sleep, very noisy until late in the night. Also, the parking for the car was arranged at a nearby garage, and there were to problems. First, the car was moved on the second day to a different location, which we didn't like, and second on tha last day they asked for more money than agreed, saying the card was big. Of course, we didn't pay. But the hotel should be aware of these things.

The location in Florence was excellent, close to major attractions and also to the railway station. All the staff we had contact with were very helpful and friendly. Bedroom perhaps a little small but adequate and was scrupulously clean. All in all it was good value for money.

Breakfast facilities sometimes difficult. Room a little small and occasionally they ran out of provisions that seemed to cause some irritation amongst latecomers! The message was get in there early!

The hotel is very clean and well-located. There is free wifi in the rooms! Staff is friendly. Price is reasonable. So I can reccomend this hotel as it offers excellent value-for-money!

Plumbing was terrible, drains were so slow that you had to turn the shower right down so it didn't flood the bathroom

It's just a few blocks away from the city center, even though it's a very quiet hotel.

the most satisfied hotel during the whole Italy trip. My bf loves it. very very nice room and bed, and beautiful. I enjoyed it.

The receptionist is a little bit cold, but still very helpful.

The location of the hotel was excellent and the staff were very helpful. Even lent us umbrellas when it was raining. The bed was huge and comfortable and the room was clean and nice and quiet. The breakfast was also excellent.

The room smelt very strongly like cigarette smoke which was quite disgusting. We did get used to it but could be improved.

Nice and convenient accomodation.

Wi-fi was not working in our room. Conditioning sistem is rather old.

1. The rooms are too small. 2. My (perfectly valid) Spanish residence card was not accepted by the staff.. even though it is valid. Only passports and (italian?) national IDs were OK... so we had to use my gf's ID (who is, fortunately, Italian) to be allowed in. It was very disappointing and embarrassing.

The moment we stepped into Hotel Sempione, we were greeted by a beautiful and friendly lady named Benedetta whom later we found out that she is very helpful and accommodating as well. There was another guy who is friendly and helpful, advising us on the routes and timings of the trains and it is a shame we did not manage to get his name. Generally, the hotel is located in close proximity to the train station-Firenze smn. It is also near to pick up/drop off point of buses, in particular the Sita buses, which will bring you to The Mall, where you will find most of the branded goods, not to mention they are relatively cheap. The room itself is not really fantastic. Two single size beds put side by side to make up a queen. I felt the gap between the two while lying in the middle. The room and bathroom are rather cramp, but that did not bother us. Basic necessities are provided for a traveller-safe, fridge, toiletries, hair dryer and tv, items which in my opinion must be provided. Shower is constantly hot, which is good during the winter. Breakfast is typical throughout our stay. Ham, salami, cheese, bread, croissant, coffee, tea, cereals, milk, orange juice and eggs. Hotel Sempione, by and large, is a 'good for that price' hotel. The most important thing to us is the attitude of the hotel staffs.

Wifi signal is not constant throughout the hotel. The passwords are only valid for 24hrs, and we have to renew them everyday by asking for passwords from the front desk. But then again, it did not really bother us.

Near to Florence S.M.N main railway station and plenty of eateries nearby.

The breakfast spread was very limited but the service was good.

Superb staff, both at desk & breakfast room. Nicely decorated clean & quiet single room. Location, near Sta. Maria Novella station put everything in walking distance. Initial concern re some questionable people/places on via Nazionale where hotel sits did not translate into danger & hotel said the bar/tavola cal do next door was fine, as it very much turned out to be. All in all a very pleasant stay!

As ever, the other guests, especially in the breakfast room - loud, older (& I am in 60's) UK group travelers, inconsiderate of others who may like more quiet in the morning.

The hotel is really nice, it was everything good.

The receptionist when we arrive wasn't really nice. But the other that work there was ok.

everything...The staff was exceptional. They were very helpful. The location is very convenient to the train station but on a quiet street. There was a computer available for use by travelers. it was not necessary to bring my own.

We were delighted with our stay. The location could not have been better and the staff were so helpful. They assisted us in booking tickets for uffuzi as well as helping one of our group with dietary requirements (she's a coeliac). I would highly recommend!
