everything was excellent, bidet in the bathroom
not much room at the reception area where the guests could be waiting; cooked meal for breakfast could be more varied rather than just scrambled eggs
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful. The hotel is in the perfect location for visiting Venice with fabulous places to eat within a 5 min walk and all attractions a small stroll away.
No elevator; climbing up the steps was difficult.
The service was excellent along with the breakfast. Very central location, close to the Grand canal and St. Marks
The bathroom didn't have a shower only a wand in the bath with no shower curtain
Pillows a bit hard
Breakfast and location of the hotel
The location is perfect only turn right to San Marco, and turn left to Rialto bridge. The staffs are helpfull. He helps me to print the online check in before I left. The owner is cute.
I requested for double bed, but I got the twin bed, and put them closure. Once I went to the middle of the bed, I felt not comfortable.
location is great and just near to everything, worth for money,Breakfast is great
Room is very tiny,no elevator I was in the 4th floor and I have to claim every time...
Location, service, breakfast, affordability, hospitality, attentiveness of the personnel, comfort, everything.
Coffee for breakfast was rather poor, especially to Italian standards, but good coffee is not a problem elsewhere.
Warm "home-feeling" in this small hotel perfectly located in the heart of San Marco. Staff was very nice and helpful. Authentic and affordable, I will definitely come back!
The position is just excellent and very easy to find (plus the hotel sends a very useful map of its own). The staff at the desk deserves a special star - a great example of typical Italian politeness. Helped couple of times, always with smile. Breakfast was not only a mixture of cheese, ham and bread moved from a supermarket to the hotel. It was very good, offering many choices. Will stay next time.
Personally, I think that replacing/changing of some pictures would help ;)) I do not understand some comments about this hotel - they are like complaining about lack of barocco churches in New York. Well, stairs may be many, breakfast room tiny - but THIS IS VENICE!!!
Nothing was to much trouble
Everything about the Serenissima was so welcoming, with friendly and helpful staff. Very convenient location. Excellent breakfast.
Vintage small hotel. Well run with 24 hour staffing. Always ready to help. Building like all in Venice is old, but exceptionally clean. Breakfast enough to hold one until dinner. Highly recommend!
Staff are very professonal and friendly, the hotel very well run, breakfast is outstanding with variety and quantity and rooms overlook a beautiful quiet courtyard.
Had to sit in the common area/dining room when using wifi as it was very weak in the room. That was no problem once that was realised.
Excellent breakfast included, very friendly staff, well located with good wifi
Beds were rather lumpy
The staff was superb. The breakfast was very good. And the rooms were comfortable at a reasonable price.
A bit challenging to find in the maze of Venice streets.
mosquitoes poor wifi small bathroom no lift
This is a charming hotel. The staff are excellent and the rooms are simple but comfortable. It is just a minute's walk to Rialto and Piazza san Marco. It is easy to find also. I would recommend a stay here.
Our room faced the back courtyard which also the entrance to their sister 4 star hotel. It was noisy.
Staff were very helpful and welcoming. Excellent location and would stay again.
Leaking water in the bathroom made it difficult to sleep.
Clean spacious room, over looking courtyard
No shower enclosure. Just a tub with a shower head on a flexible hose and the tub could not be plugged to take a bath. Twin beds that did not stay together and were not that comfortable
Good location. Good breakfast (for Europe).
very good location ! very good service ! but breakfast can be have more choice !! will be perfect !
Excellent location with walking distance to San Marco square, I walked there to see the empty square in sunrise one morning, it was surreal. Breakfast was the best that I had in Italy, especially the chocolate stuffed croissant. The room is not big but comfortable and clean, wifi signal was also good.
The location was great.
The room is very small. Soap is the size of a postage stamp. When we went for breakfast fairly early in the morning 8 to 9am many of the entries were empty. Maybe they were just slow to fill.
