Hotel Settecento

The hotel combined the old with the new and was a wonderful place to stay.

Excellent hotel - true 4 stars - new, elegant, clean, quiet, beautiful rooms, excellent climate control, comfortable beds - what more can you ask. Breakfast has large variety, Great value for money.

We booked for our dog, and when we arrived food for the dog was available in the room ( in clean plate !) food must be very good as our dog never eats dry food and now he did.. Nice hotel.

The very expensive prices for drinks in the bar. Breakfast was not very good as there was almost no choice in bread . Sweet stuff abundantly but for us northerners this is not what we want. Fact that internet facilities are not free. Even with own gprs stick it's very difficult to get internet connection.

The hotel was tastefully stylish. The room was really nice and the bed was comfortable. A restaurant offering gourmet food, which was really good.

Design and comfort

The decor and dining facilities were excellent. Rooms and room services were also excellent. The swimming pools and changing areas were also very good.

The bar could have been staffed properly in the evening(it often took over 10 minutes to find a member of staff.) I was also disgusted to be told on Saturday evening that the bar and lounge areas were reserved for a party, and would I mind sitting outside in the dark. Not clever!

Staff were friendly, professional, efficient and spoke excellent English. The hotel and rooms were nicely decorated. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast available.

The location of the hotel is good, very near Bergamo and the airport Orio al Serio. Beautiful furniture in the hotel and excellent breakfast.

We chose this hotel for the outdoor swimming pool. Unfortunately there was a private party at the pool the same day. The hotel manager let us use the pool after kind request. But how can you relax at the pool area while the members of the staff are building up the place for the party? There was no room for our 3 year old girl to run around. At night you could hear the music from the corridor to the room! Wall to wall carpet is not very stylish in a design hotel in my opinion.

We stayed one night here on our way to Lake Como and were so impressed that we will return again for a longer stay. It was like visiting a modern Art gallery in a typical old Italian building that has been very tastefully renovated. Excellent service and value for money.

The location of the hotel is a bit out of the way. For those guests who do not have their own transport, there is a walk to the local railway station if you want to explore the area. In addition on the last night of our stay dinner was not available, as the hotel was staging a large function. This meant we had to dine elsewhere. In our case we had planned a trip to Milan and ate before returning, but this may not have been acceptable to other guests

The staff is extremely professional and very kind. You shoud not miss the restaurant. Italian cuisine at its best. This was only a one night stay, but a great experience.
