Hotel SiciliaVia Divisi 99, 90133 Palermo (Show map) Good, Score from 376 reviews“The location is perfect in the heart of the old city. It was an amazingly good price for a large, well equipped room with private bath and a very acceptable breakfast. The staff went out of their way to be helpful.”
Thomas,
Roma
Hotel Sicilia offers simple rooms in central Palermo, just a 5-minute walk from the train and bus station. Rooms have either a balcony or windows overlooking the internal courtyard. The central location of the Sicilia Hotel means that the cathedral and Massimo and Politeama theaters are all just a short walk away. The rooms are set on the first floor of a historic building without an elevator. Hotel Rooms: 15

Good location, walking distance to most sights. Room was large and spacious with a nice little balcony, though not super fresh as paint starts to come off and such. Possible to store luggage after check-out. Breakfast is bit of a sad experience, but OK for Italian standards.

Cheap hotel Scary neighbourhood. The breakfast was typical sicilian with white bread and no fibers. We had a some sort of leak in our bathroom and the floor was wet all the time.

The staff are nice and helpful as usual and they are nice to talk too. They like to be paid on the day on your arrival as if they do not trust you. That is the downfall for me because we always paid in full when you leaving not when you just got in there, but apart from that we had a nice stay.

Excellent location, 10-minute walk to the railway/bus station, to the sea and to the historic centre, good breakfast, big room with a balcony. Our room was facing the street and it was quite noisy at night. There was also a lot of noise coming from the reception in the morning which woke us up. Tthere was a puddle of water on the floor in the bathroom as the washbasin or the shower was leaking.

It's a great hotel to use as a base for exploring Palermo and nearby areas, they have comfortable beds, reasonable breakfast and helpful staff. It was easy to find and great value for money, though I wouldn't recommend it to people who like to stay at the hotel all day, you would just be bored to death, but then, who goes to Palermo to isolate himself between four walls? :) They had no Wi-Fi, so if you're planning to be online at your room you'll need your own (preferably prepaid) mobile internet. Although the breakfast wasn't that bad it could have been more varied.

Very friendly staff. Rooms adequate and clean. The area was a bit dubious but did not deter us from going out on a night. Near the centre and shops.

The price was affordable for a solo traveller. The proximity to the main bus station was very good for lugging a large suitcase. 24/hr reception is always good to have. The door frames on many of the rooms were broken so it was a major challenge to open-close the door, and it made a huge amount of sound trying to bust through each time was opening it. The breakfast selection was not very nice. Croissants were pre-packed and the "hot" water was actually just warm. The area surrounding the hotel was quite run-down and may scare solo travellers - although I walked at night by myself and was never put in danger.

Convenient for sightseeing and shopping. It is located near Via.Roma and Vucchiria Market. There is a laundry store 5minutes from the hotel. The room and the breakfast place are clean and neatly taken care of by the hard-working cleaning staff and they are nice. The price(40 EURO a night for a double-bedded room), it is quite reasonable. It lacks a lift and we had to go up the stairs with big luggages.

The hotel is close to the railway station of Palermo Centrale in a quiet street. On a rainy day, some of the rooms and corridors get flooded!

The room was quite large, beds and pillows were good, there was even a balcony and a very good conditioner. And best of all - the location for exploring the center was excellent, between two of the main streets. The breakfast was very, very poor. It's ok for one day, but then you start wishing there was some other choise besides a croissant.

The reception staff was helpful when I needed help understanding things in Italian. However, they were not helpful in providing local advise including where the supermarkets were. Directions were wrong!

Nice breakfest, but terrible coffe. Very nice staff. Very uncomforable bed, the toilet was not working and there was hardly any light in the room. The receptionist was speaking very loudly in the evening and in the morning, and besides from that, we were woken up, by the very loud doorbell, a lot of times in the night. It is very hard to get any kind of sleep in this hotel.

The location, easy to find and close to central station. Okey for one night, very good price. If you want to stay longer in Palermo (wich isn't a very nice city at all) you should pay a little bit more for another hotel.

The price/quality range of this hotel is very good. Breakfast was very well taken care of with different sorts of fresh bread and fruit. The rooms were clean and the staff was nice. The neighborhood is good and mustsee places are on walking distance. The hotel being in between the ballaro and vucceria market makes it a great place for foodlovers.

The location is perfect! The hotel is in the middle of the old town, within walking distance to all the sights. We also had a lovely balcony. The breakfast was actually better then expected as they served fresh pasteries every morning.
