Park Hotel Carrubella  

Big and comfortable room with gorgeous view (particularly at night time and breakfast at balcony) from peak and excellent service - so "value for money" :)

Very large, and beatifull room. 5 star class bathroom.

It's location good for Monreal but not Palermo.

Beautiful situation with tremendous view over the countryside to Palermo. A good place to stay to see the stunning cathedral of Monreale.

It was quite difficult to find. Parking in the town is difficult and for restaurants etc you really have to leave your car in the hotel car park and walk .It's about a 15min walk maybe a problem for some. A minor point -a bit disappointing breakfast for the money as the orange juice was very watery as was the coffee.

Wonderful location just outside the hustle of Monreale but near enough to walk to the cathedral, the main local attraction. Great views over the valley and Palermo for breakfast.

Scenery and closeness to Palermo and the west coast

The excellent view. The breakfast room is superbly designed with French windows leading to a beautiful covered terrace, where one could also breakfast, with a wonderful view.

The position 1000' above Palermo was spectacular. Breakfast was good with fresh ricotta part of the offerings every day. The hotel owner Armando and the two Robertos were very friendly and informative. Armando especially is very knowledgeable about Monreale and Palermo. Parking was excellent.

The hotel is situated about 800 m from the center, which might be a problem for people not used to walking very far. We did it twice a day with no problems. The bus into Palermo is temporarily suspended. Talk to Armando for alternatives.

Good location for visiting Monreale. On cliff so nice views of Palermo and surrounding area

Very hard to find Monreale turnoff in the dark from main road in Palermo - no signs apparent. Rescued by some friendly locals who showed us the way. Once on right street, hotel was ok to find but very narrow, steep and car lined streets in Monreale - beware if arriving in day.

The views were fantastic of the mountains, sea and city. Rooms were spacious.

The hotel is hard to find when driving on very narrow streets. It is a bit shabby.

The view over Palermo Harbor was magnificent, both from my room and the breakfast room/terrace. The host greeted us warmly, helped us make dinner reservations in town, and laid out a breakfast buffet that included good pastries, good Americano coffee and heated milk, ham and cheese with so-so bread. The grounds are landscaped with beautiful, healthy succulents. The host allowed us to leave our car in his parking lot until we were ready to leave Monreale at 3 in the afternoon. Terrific value for the off-season tariff of about 80 euros double.

If you are afraid of driving in very tight streets, often facing opposing traffic with few places to turn off, this is not for you. Park somewhere else and take a taxi to this otherwise delightful hotel. The shower was a tight fit in the corner of the bathroom, but the water was hot and consistent.

La gentilezza del personale

Un gioiello con vista splendida sul golfo di Palermo e sui tetti di Monreale dominati dalla rinomata cattedrale. Una perla di gentilezza e di savoir faire d'altri tempi. Ci ritorneremmo subito!

Sin duda, su ubicación .pocas veces hemos estado en un hotel que tuviera tan espectaculares vistas ,en este caso de Palermo,tanto nocturnas como diurnas.La paz y el silencio son maravillosos

Es un antiguo hotel,que debe haber sido lujoso en su momento, pero esta muy DESCUIDADO,humedad en las paredes,lamparitas quemadas,plantas muriendo de sed,óxido en las rejas,sillas y mesas desteñidas,,manteles arrugados.El desayuno bastante pobre y el personal,con el mínimo de cortesía.Hasta nos reclamaron que nosotros pagábamos menos por Booking que lo que ellos cobran.
