The staff was superb, very helpful. Man at The reseption even managed To get us for a private winery tour at Abbadi Ardenga-winery, although we only asked if there are any winerys on The way To The Rome. Vero helpful and nice! :)
The beds werent too comfy, and unfortunately The italian breakfast that includes into The prices wasnt too good either, we finnish People need protein in form of quark or Meat. Only buttload of carbs (but thats how it goes in whole italy).
Best hostel!! Small break fast. Clean bathroom.
Far from city center. We waited for 20mins after check in time.
really far away from all the attractions. bus takes 1.2 euro per time. If it is not very cheap compare to other hostels or u have enough time. I will say choose others.
I had booked into an 8 bed dorm but upon my arrival I was given a key to a 2 bed dorm. No one said anything and the room was great with a hand basin and table. No one else came so I had the room to myself for 2 nights which was awesome!!! The breakfast each morning was also inclredible with croissants, bread rolls, cereal etc. Only problems were the location - had to take a bus into siena each time. Also the shower didn't have a lock on it although it was in the girls bathroom I was still nervous about someone walking in. Other than that the hostel lacked the atmosphere of a proper hostel. This could be due to winter and not many people residing there during my stay. So although I was disappointed with the atmosphere, the room to myself was fantastic and I felt that I really got good value for money, especially with the incredible breakfast. Staff also seemed friendly and the hostel was very clean.
Free breakfast was enough. Staff help us all the time. For example one night, we were thirsty and we could find open market I asked them and he gave me free bottle of water.
Location is not good but sometimes it is easy to reach with bus. The most worst thing that room was really cold, we were frozen. Room degree was 15 and we told them to make it warm they made 15,5.
Booked a 8-bed room, but since there were only a few people staying on that day, the staff gave me a double room. A little bit far from the rail station but they had pick-up service. Good breakfast. The staff were really excellent!
staff was helpful and welcoming, rooms are great with nice common area, breakfast w/ pastry and hot choc/capp/ coffee/tea machine included, nice choice of 2 bed dorm w/ new sturdy beds
a 25 min walk to city centre, but as only real hostel in siena, acceptable as there are several buses that the hostel staff has outlined well at reception desk
Good price & staff except location....
Overall very good.
Poor bus service to town on Saturday and especially on Sunday.
Nice people But the male guy is nicer and more passionate than a female guy
Far location And the female emploree did not say how and where to take a bus clearly
My review may not be representative if you travel in the high season. I stayed in the hostel at the end of September. The female might have 20 beds, but only 3 or 4 was occupied. So, we had a lot of space. They had four toilet and one shower room. I would imagine it would be crowded if fully occupied. Staff is nice. You need to take bus to the historical center. I find it is ok because it is very easy and only take 10 minutes. The area is quiet and has a nice bakery nearly.
I don't have much complain given we had a lot of space.
the staff the bar and the terrace the breakfast
the showers looked really old and weird no locker
Good beds. Free wifi and internet access. Extremely helpful staff.
Great location, friendly and helpful staff, easy access to the old town, relaxing atmospheren, very clean, and they offer shuttle services for just 2€ on the weekends! !
The girls dormitory shower had no hot water and the windows were left open with no screens. There for, I slept with moths and other insects.
Couldnt have been happier with my stay at Siena Hostel - the amazing staff, the chilled common areas, the fresh croissants, Abramo the dog. And the wine, oh, the wine. Go!!
The location is good and also the price is good.
The hostel is very dirty! The showers are awfull! They have large windows without curtains, everything is covered in dust, the flor is partialy black instead of original white. Without any hangers or anything to put your clothes while you would like to shower. Luckly I manage to hang them on the door hook. Also i was trapped inside the toilete because the door was stuck! Luckly for me a lady manage to open the doors from outside. The room was't clean either. This is for me a big minus! How can you not clean the bathrooms for you guests! Awfull!!!!
big room. friendly Staff
People working there, awesome and cheerful people!
The hostel doesnt have a kitchen
Good for large groups of travellers
Out of city centre and bus times aren't great. Bathroom facilities are poor. Breakfast is technically not self-serve. Not great for solo travellers.
The staff were wonderful! So helpful, always willing to give advice/directions, etc. Really nice atmosphere in the hostel.
even it's a bit far from center but is really nice to stay there, clear, quiet, nice staff, good choice
The staff were friendly and provided valuable knowledge about the bus network to get downtown. I was supposed to be in a 8-female dorm and ended up in a 2 person room for the same price!! Wish I could have stayed another night.
Far from the downtown but not a problem with buses. Mix of travelers so it might be difficult to meet people.
easy going and helpful staff
Staff are very friendly, which frankly speaking is not that common in hostels in italy, the hostel is spacious and clean. Good to chill for a couple of days
Its so big that it is hard to meet other travelers. You have to take a bus to siena
Far away from the center. You can use bus N 10.
