The room (superior single) was comfortable and with traditional furnishings. Although it was right in the centre of Siena, it was very quiet and the private garden was a lovely spot to unwind in after some busy sightseeing.

It is very near to Duomo. The room is tiny with a strange smell. The breakfast is offered in another house which is hard to find and the quality of breakfast is far below expectation.

The location was excellent The breakfast was little more than coffee and packaged melba-like toast. We thought that it was too minimal, even by European standards. Otherwise the accommodations were fine.

The location is superb. It is family-managed and spotlessly clean. The atmosphere is intimate and friendly, and a common small table in an outdoor niche enabled hotel guests to converse with one another. An adjacent common kitchen was a nice additional touch. The small bathroom seemed newly furnished. I liked the "eco-friendly" touches in the lighting and bathroom fixtures. Nice touches: ceiling lights could be shut off from the bed, stepping into the bathroom activated the light. As an older person traveling alone, without command of the language, I would have liked to have access to a computer or telephone. This is not a complaint, but a suggestion: it might have been handy to have some surface, such as a soapdish, in the shower, or a stand near the sink on which to balance soap, shampoo, grooming items.

Staff was excellent. Helpful with every single detail on how to get around the city.made my stay very comfortable. Would definitely start there again. This was a very hot summer in Siena. A fan would have been nice. It is very difficult to find wifi in the city.

The staff. No air conditioning or WiFi. The shower stall and tv were too small and no English tv stations. The breakfast was fair. God bless.

The room was very comfortable and the facilities in the apartment where great. The location was perfect! Just a short walk to sights. The staff offered good recommendations for food when asked, and called a taxi for me. When I arrived for check-in at 3pm, the room was not ready. The website says 3pm, but staff said 4pm. When I arrived for check-out during listed hours, no one was at reception and I had to wait awhile for someone to arrive. There was no breakfast available at the apartment or at reception. The automatic lights in the bathroom are a great idea, in theory. But, if you shower for more than 10 minutes, the lights go off. Always, the light stays on longer than necessary other times.

Great service! We arrived late on the busiest day of the year for the famous Palio de Siena. The manager jumped in our car and directed us to a legal parking space and escorted us to our room. We stayed on the top floor and there was no lift. Can't complain though for and old city like this but it would be difficult for someone with mobility issues. I'm sure they have more appropriate rooms if you requested.

Location is amazingly good for exploring within the walls of Siena. Aprtment was larger than expected. The staff could have been a bit warmer. They did answer questions or point me in the right direction, but none of it ever seemed warm and friendly. A door to the patio from the apartment I was staying in did not lock.

I loved the room. It had a very pretty window and pot of flowers on it, and the rooms was clean and cozy. The location was great as well! It's only like 2 minutes from the Duomo. The staff didn't really speak good English so when I needed help figuring out some train/bus info. For the next day, it was a difficult task! The girl didn't seem very willing to help, either. She was getting frustrated because she didn't know how to talk to me about it.

This B & B is located very near Il Campo; an excellent location. The room and bathroom were fine, and the night-time noise was minimal, but slamming of shutters and motorbikes began around 5 am. The lack of hotel reception staff was limiting. The buffet breakfast was minimal. No A/C, and we didn't ask for a fan, as the weather was fine. The breakfast quality should be improved. If location is very important, and you don't need much information from the staff, and if breakfast is not important to you ... this is a good place.

I enjoyed the friendly, family run, English speaking b&b in the heart of beautiful Sienna. The price was reasonable. The location was excellent. I would recommend this establishment to my friends. The shower was very small and the lights suddenly went off in the middle of my shower.

“Marco was very friendly and talked me there from the train station when I got lost. It was actually very easy and a great location right across from the old city wall. It's probably about a 10-15 minute walk to the main square and duomo. It's very nicely situated by a couple tasty restaurants. They also offer a nice breakfast. Nothing too fancy but perfect for our needs. We had a nice stay and would happily return if we come back to Siena!” Elizabeth, Arlington |

“Hotel La Colonna was located just outside the walls of old Seina-a 20 to 30 minute walk to Piazza de Campo. Staff was friendly and helpful-recommended a wonderful restaurant (with hotel card 10% off bill) within walking distance. Hotel was beautifully decorated and clean-one of the best we stayed in for the price. No complaints-well worth staying for many nights as a "home base" to visit nearby other towns.” Linda, Rochester |
