Room was a bit loud -- louder than our apartment in Firenze -- thanks to
traffic noise, the Italian couple in the adjoining room who didn't
seem to be getting along, and the drunken Italian men singing in the
street in the wee hours. (Another neighbor finally told them to be
quiet, with much good humor all around.) We suspect the triple room on
the other side, where the bickering Italian couple stayed, had a better
view and less street noise than our room, which was on the Via Tito
side. Book early.
Location is very good: close enough to Il Campo and the Duomo for an
easy stroll, but not in the heart of tourist-ville. Staff is friendly.
Rooms are fine: perfectly clean, decent beds, small-ish but about what
you'd expect given the price point. Heating and lighting was good,
shower had plenty of hot water and was also clean. Breakfast was
adequate -- packaged pastries, yogurt, and coffee -- but, again, not out
of line with the price.
