The hotel is close to subway and Vatican. The choice of restaurants in the area is decent.
In the morning it's a little noisy since there's a bakery on the ground floor right below the rooms. It opens early in the morning and since the walls are pretty thin you could hear everything.
Near to the Vatican shuttlebus, thus saving us the trip to Termini and walking up and down stairs with lots of people.
An extra charge for breakfast and air conditioning
Front desk staff was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The rooms I stayed in, though small, were sufficient to my needs and were clean, well-kept, and comfortable. The location was terrific, within easy walking distance of the Vatican, great shopping and wonderful restaurants. A great value for the price. Easy ride to airport and train station.
Hotel is very near the Vatican and underground station. Around the hotel is a lot of shops and restaurants.
All was OK.
The location is extraordinary--easy walking distance to the Vatican, shopping, and great restaurants. Access is easy, and, as mentioned above, the staff could not have been nicer. By American standards, the accommodations may seem small, but by Italian hotel standards they were just fine.
What's not to like? (1) You're in Rome. (2) You're staying in a nice place in a nice neighborhood being looked after by nice people. And (3) you're in rome.
Situated right next to the tube made getting around Rome very easy. This is 0.5 miles from Vatican City so walking distance to see it. The staff at the hotel were very welcoming and happy to answer any questions. The room was extremely clean.
Decor in the hotel could be a bit lighter to brighten it up- that's personal preference.
Excellent Location only 5 mins walk to vatican city, restaurants everywere near the hotel. metro staion at 1mins walk distance. Owners were too good rather excellent, helpfull, great behaviours. Breakfast was fine. Rooms were big enough including toilet. Tour arrangement from hotel is excellent, Airport pick/drop facility is accurate on time and comfortable. I will definately stay there on my next visit and suggest all friends to do the same......Enjoy your visit in Rome with Hotel Silla, I give 4.5 out of 5 stars.. :)
Nothing to dislike....Maybe be little slow wifi someday but that is also rare...
Great location near the Vatican area and metro station. Staff was kind and friendly.
The room was quite small and there was no view from the window. Also there was no fridge in the room.
narrow walls between the rooms
The location which was right next to the Vatican City and the Octovaino Metro made it fantastic to not only get to and fro the Hotel, but to see the all the main sights with relative ease. The tourist map they provide also is a huge benefit. If you plan to walk from place to place in Rome, the hotel next to the Vatican City makes it very easy to get back home in the dead of night--and being next to a relatively popular villa, you can do some shopping and even catch a bite to eat at some of the local bars (or McDonalds if you so choose to). The staff were great who understood English relatively well and the facilities were not too shabby either. All in all, the price you are paying for is well worth it for a Hotel of it's location and accommodations they provide.
The beds were relatively hard and the doors were rather thin, so I was subjected to hearing people in the next room and walking down the hallway. It made it tough for me to sleep into the morning when I had a late night. It didn't help that people in the next room could be heard through the relatively thin walls. Though those are minor gripes with what is a great priced hotel.
Location is good
Staff are very rude and unfreindly
Very clean room every day and very helpful staff, also you feel safe. The location is great near to Vatican and only 50m from metro station.
