The hotel was on the other side of the river from the city, close enough, just 5 mins walk, but nice and quiet in the evening. In a really old building, very quaint, breakfast terrace was lovely (smell from jasmine bushes was magnificent). A few close restaurants/bars if you have walked yourself out in the day and don't want to go too far in the evening. Private parking in hotel garage available. This is an absolute necessity if you have a car. Not so much the hotel, but getting to is by car was a nightmare. This is a problem of the city, not the hotel. Many of the streets were closed to cars during the day, meaning you have to pick your way thru the city, using streets without restrictions. I went round and round. Couldn't really work out why some of the streets restricted, cos many cars just using these streets. Eventually, I found my way and my car was thankfully taken off to private hotel garage. Hotel parking absolute must!! If you are driving. Beware that driving is very hard in Florence, to get into the city and to get out. Hotel parking facilities were great!

The hotel staff was very courteous. Location of hotel is excellent. There is parking to the hotel in the middle of a city. We had an unpleasant smell in the bathroom / shower,we said to the lobby guys about this and when we back after a trip the smell was completely disappeared. The Cappuccino in breakfast was very tasty We don't have some complaints.

The entrance, reminding old style; the position near Ponte Vecchio, it's garden-very nice panorama; bathroom nice and clean Because of pitti Fair, price went up too much for a 3 stars hotel !! Not fair enough...

The best thing about this Hotel (next to the location) is the staff. Mossimo at the front desk was very nice and helped us with our plans to visit the museums. We also loved the ladies in the breakfast room! We will definitely stay here again!

Very well located hotel just south of river arno close to bars and restaurants ideal for evening drinks and dinner. 10 - 15 minute walk from Ponte Vecchio, Ufizzi gallery and centre of old city so very convenient. Breakfast included in the room rate and good quality coffee provided, as you would expect for three star Italian hotel. Very clean, decent sized rooms with air/con and good quality tv. Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful; for example they arranged a pre-booked time slot for Ufizzi gallery visit as part of the service. The only slight negative was the the firmness of the beds which may be a problem for some guests.

The staff was friendly and helpful. They have parking on site which is nice. The location is convenient to walking into Florence. Good wi-fi in room. Hotel is nice, clean and beautiful. My daughter left her phone by accident in the room and they ran out to the car to give it to us before we left. They went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. Our favorite hotel of our Italy trip!

The hotel was in a quiet part of the city but was only a short walk from the centre. There were plenty of buses if you felt lazy but it was lovely to stroll along the river to reach the sights. The room & en- suite were a perfect size for a single person & it was well furnished & had a/c that worked really well. There was free wi-fi & all the amenities and helpful staff you would expect from a three star hotel. The buffet breakfast was substantial & catered for most if not all tastes & was served on the 1st floor roof terrace as the weather was lovely & sunny. I would definitely try to stay there if I visit that part of Italy again Had no complaints - it was the sort of hotel you need to make a great holiday.

The location was close to the everything, but not right in the centre. It meant we could walk everywhere, but feel as though we had some breathing space back at the hotel (which we appreciated). Secure parking - although very tight to get in to - was good, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. They accommodated us and our dogs brilliantly, and helped us plan day trips into the country. Good breakfast too. The rooms are very dated and a bit depressing as a result. We didn't spend very much time in our room, so that wasn't really a problem. A bit of freshening up would be worth the effort though as the staff and location were very good.

The Hotel Silla is a charming hotel overlooking the River Arno across from the major tourist sites. We were very pleased with our stay. They offer great value for the money. The rooms are European in style and impeccably clean. While this would not be the most luxurious hotel in Florence, it is lovely in it's simplicity, providing a quality stay for any traveler. The reception staff was wonderful and helpful. The housekeeping staff was a+, much better than the other 4 star hotels we chose in Rome and Sorrento. Our room was cleaned every day and our bathroom was spacious, clean and functional. They provide a lovely continental breakfast on a beautiful terrace overlooking a park and the River Arno. We will definitely choose this hotel again when we return to Florence.

A good, friendly, clean and comfortable hotel with a great location close to the city centre. Also with good parking which is what we needed. Parking is not free but even with this included, we thought it was great value, in total, for a hotel in this location. Breakfast on the open terrace was great. Recommended.
