Great hotel with attentive staff. Perfect location to enjoy the area. Views post card perfect. Noisy on street side with morning deliveries.
Rooms were clean. They have private parking area 500 meters away which they assist you.
Sirmione is a very pretty town that sits within the walls of a castle. Security guards monitor the small amount of traffic that is allowed to enter this area for obvious reasons. Once we had checked into our hotel, our car was taken to a secure parking area which is roughly a 5 minute walk away and outside the main part of the town. After leaving a €20 refundable deposit with the hotel we were able access our car at any time. You can borrow bikes for free from the sister hotel, the bikes were pretty old but serviceable and we enjoyed the easy cycle route from Sirmione to Pescheira. The spa was very good and clean. There are 2 hydro massage pools, a sauna, some special showers and the outdoor pool is warm like a bath. Just so you know the famous thermal Spa water that is piped in from nearby smells of egg! The restaurant expands out onto the hotels private pontoon - this has a great view and is the perfect place to drink a cocktail and watch the sunset. A fairly impressive breakfast buffet is served in the restaurant. Our room was comfortable and clean but teetering on the edge of needing a refurb. The staff were polite - a lot of things were not explained at 1st but that might have been due to the language barrier. All in all, we had a really pleasant stay at hotel sirmione. We liked the view from the restaurant and being able to use the hotels spa.If you are not too bothered about your hotel having its own spa (the town has its own spa anyway) there is an abundance of other hotels in this town.
This hotel is split between 2 buildings with a small pedestrianised street between the two. As we were staying on the main building we had to cross this little area in our bathrobes to use the spa. Our room was above the main reception and kitchen entrance which could get noisy in the early hours with deliveries. We also had the misfortune of having a guest above us that seem to spend all night moving a chair and trotting around in high heels.. Must take earplugs next time!
Staff helpful, facilities including swimming pool, car parking, dining
Nice breakfast, pool and spa area. One staff tried so hard to find a feather or down pillow.
So hard to get to the hotel because of traffic. I would have chosen a different day and or time to arrive. Pool area was nice but too crowded. Needs better pillows.
Lovely hotel, very pretty and in a perfect location for the lake, boats, castle and town. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfasts were terrific.
The location was exquisite The breakfast goodies available was first class, the staff were so helpful and attentive The liesure and pool facilities were excellent
A couple of Reception staff were not attentive , they would answer the phone and attend to you at the same time, we had to say excuse me but would you please finish with me before you answer the phone, they then became unhelpful and frankly quite rude
Great hotel with excellent location. Some staff speaks Russian. Great SPA. Very tasty breakfast.
Location is excellent for Sirmione. The square is lovely and so is the surrounding area, lots of shops and restaurants all in a small space. Upmarket and we saw no drunkenness or loutish people. Staff are incredible nothing was too much for them and they were so polite. All areas incredibly clean inside and outside. Despite its location it was very quiet and we didn't have one disturbed night. No complaints except the small pool area, which was not a problem for us and may not be a problem in the summer months as so much to do and see and all the boat trips.
Slightly small area around the pool .....we went Sept. so no problem. Don't know what it would be like July and Aug. (this is a very tiny problem as overall loved it)
location, spa facilities
lost luggage for 4 hours. Could not adjust centrally controlled room temperature. Very hot room, resulted in poor sleep.
The Relaxed and friendly atmosphere , the situation of the hotel which for two ladies on their own was ideal being able just to walk outside to eat in the many very good restuarants. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel.
Location View Breakfast lounge Pool
Small room. No water heater in the room.
Great location, nice spa, big rooms
Very far parking, swimming pool another building, morning dining room employees rude and impatient
Location in the heart of the old town is hard to beat. Great to be able to stroll out for an evening walk. Nice to drive in and have the car parked - free parking was a bonus too. The terrace was also lovely for sundowners. Oh and they had gluten free stuff in the breakfast buffet which was great as my companion is a gluten free man and usually struggles with hotel breakfasts.
The room had a distinctly musty and damp smell to it which was unpleasant. The hotel overall was a bit frayed at edges - dirty carpets and scuffed walls which would be fine - but at the price and for 4 stars I admit I was a bit disappointed.
The location was perfect and we really enjoyed the spa facilities.
The shower could have been updated although it was clean and served its purpose.
Great and organised service, great location for a reasonable price
The location is perfect, exactly on the midle of the old town.. Beautiful area.. Thank you for everything.
Location, views from room and bar. Pool and spa facilities. Rooms clean and comfortable.
Restaurant not the best in town.
The location is outstanding
The breakfast is poor, no vegetables, and its difficult to comunicate without a minimum English with the staff...not only with the reception.
Great location. Room is abit small, but we were outside the room most of the time, enjoying the many activities that you can do around the lake. Had a memorable vacation at lake Garda.
Location, pool and breakfast, plus space downstairs are very good. Lovely space and view for eating breakfast. The bathrooms are very nice. Take care with the hot water being pumped into the pool as it hurts if you put your foot on it. Parking and help with the parking is very good.
The first family room we were given was a quadruple. It was basically a double with 2 put up beds squashed in, that we had to step over. The beds were not suitable for our 12 year old son. The hotel gave us an alternative which meant us sleeping on a sofabed, which was not very supportive. We were quite downheated about the living space in the rooms for families on arrival as it didn't match the feel of downstairs. No tea or coffee facilities. Rooms overlooking the entrance are noisy in a morning and the cleaning staff talk very loudly outside the room for those wanting to sleep past 7am! The pool is lovely and warm, but the smell from the drains is quite bad. Dinner is quite expensive.
The hotel is ideally situated next to the lake and offers beautiful views of the lake and the castle. The hotel is very clean and the staff are polite and helpful. The waiting staff are great and very professional. The breakfast buffet has a wide selection of delicious bread and the juices are very refreshing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a hotel in sirmione or close by. The thermal pool was extremely relaxing. All in all a pleasant and relaxing stay we travelled with our four year old son who loved it as it also welcomes children. The rooms are cleaned daily and the cleaners are also friendly and give the room a good clean. They also change the towels in the afternoon and leave a sweet on each pillow. Sally
This was my first time to travel to italy so I wanted to stay somewhere near lake garda & this hotel couldn't have been any closer, we were practically on the lake. Everything about the hotel was amazing & the staff were so friendly & helpful even with my poor italian speaking. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone of any age, great location & cannot wait to go back.
Location Spa/pool area Breakfast Some reception staff very friendly
Some reception staff not too friendly
Location Facility availability Breakfast Rooms and bathroom
Staff could have been more friendly - both at the front desk and the dining area. One had the feeling that hotel guests were people who got in the way of whatever else they had to do. Sometimes difficult to get their attention. They weren't unpleasant, just not welcoming.
