Why did they have no staff most of the time, but two whispering to each other a few hours each day?? Kind of creapy!
We had a lot of problems to find the Hostel. It was closed until 2 pm, so we had problems with our luggage, where to leave it.
-excellent WIFI connection -in front of the hostel there is a market
-there's no place for luggage
- location (15-20 minutes by foot to the historical centre) - lockers are directly in the rooms
actually it is the worst hostel I have ever slept in. the reasons: - the most expensive one - 22 eu/night WITHOUT breakfast, towels (I booked a bed 3 days before my arrival) - NO KITCHEN (only some shelves where you MAYBE can leave your food) - NO ventilation in the rooms. It means that the only way for the air is the window, which is facing a very LOUD and STINKY street, so forget about your sleep - NO living room to communicate with other travellers. >> a real pure purpose / crash pad. - so if you CAN find something else, do it! don't support this hostel, which doesn't care about the comfort of the travellers.
Quite convenient to train stations, both P.N. and P.V.. The environment is quiet , which is really good.
The service time of the reception is a bit inconvenient for the travellers. Also, The hot water supply is a bit disappointing.
Friendly and helpful staff. Clean bathroom.
Windows are close to noisy street, not good for sleeping.
Worst check-in policy and dodgy neighbourhood. I had sent a special request concerning the check in time which was disrespectfully ignored. Once finally inside the guy took his time to check me in as he had apparently to make a friendly 20-min phone call. Not nice...
Location was good I thought, a little dodgey at night but not to bad.
Shower frame fell apart when touched.
There was an elevator. They let me store my things before and after check out. They had a kitchen with the facilities to cook my things. It was an easy walk everywhere. 20 minute walk from the duomo! And 2 minutes to the supermarket. Overall would stay there again!
No locks for the luggage storage so bring a lock with you or you can buy one for €3.
Hostel is located near to the centre, it's only a 15 minute walk. As in every hostel you will easily meet new people and make new friends. Receptionist talks good English.
The pictures that are shown here on booking.com are NOT what you will get. They do have LOFT BEDS (not only in the room I stayed in, I saw them in other rooms too), but you only see single beds in the pictures here. I asked for a normal bed when I arrived, but the receptionist said, it says in the Internet there are loft beds and I believed him. I especially booked this hostel because I don't like loft beds... Also all the pictures of the common area are not reality. Furthermore there is NO KITCHEN, not even a kettle. The hole hostel is quite dirty and old, the computer in the commen area is decoration only (doesn't work), the matraces are really thin. You are not allowed to store food in the tiny fridge at the reception during the day, it says they will throw it away every morning at 10am. They don't provide city maps either.
Good wifi Single beds Fridge in the common area
Mosquitoes Not enough electricity plugs and they are far from bed Staff available only during the day Check in only until 20:00
Spacious rooms. There is a pool and balcony off room. Books about Verona to look at.
Hard to get in as bell doesn't work.
The location was no longer difficult to spot. Bus station to and fro the train station was only 10 meters away from the hostel, good for train travelers. City centre is within walking distance. Staff is nice and friendly, places were clean and tidy as well.
The street we are on was a bit sketchy.
The hostel was clean and the rooms were a good size
The bunk I slept in was very very squeeky but I was the only person in the room who had that problem
Pretty close to the centre. The room has a balcony and it is clean. The bus stop is just across the street so we can reach the train station easily. The staff is very helpful. When my key didn't work, i emailed the staff and he came right away. (No staffs in the house after 8)
It didn't have kitchen and the wifi signal was weak sometimes. My bed was very squeaky (I was in green room, bed number 5). Like other Italian hostel, the guest must leave the room at 11am for clean ups.
The rooms were light and colourful and there was a garden and splash pool at the back.
Fair price and helpful staff. Small enough to mingle with others. Somewhere fairly near to the centre to put your head for the night.
Half of the lights didn't work. Only one plug socket in the room. No laundry or kitchen facilities other than a microwave.
large rooms, fairly clean, little garden area outside
the location was in a poor area of town, not nice to walk back to at night
I'm quite impressed about the cleanliness of the hostel and bed sheets
I just don't understand why i have 2 bed sheet and a cover for pillow but i don't have any blanket. Although the room is quite warm (unless open the door), i think if using the bed sheet as a blanket, don't you think its quite thin, I just wonder. Apart from that Im fine =)
The rooms were comfortable, the location was great, the staff were very pleasant, I enjoyed my one night there.
The only complaint was that they had no kettle, to make a Hot drink!! and no place to wash up your dishes.
Was a great cheap little find in verona, not many other cheaper options. The directions given were so helpful made getting there easy. Being in a neighborhood outside of city a little ( only a easy 15 minute walk though) having a security front door made me feel safe. Was great! There is a supermarket literally across road so that made breakfast buying easy.
Not too much, no fridge was the only downside.
Easy to get to, just take the bus and then walk for 2min down the same road. This is the place to go if you are on a low budget. Everything you need as a backpacker. Loved it.
Not easy to spot - walked past the steel bar door two times.
staff is very nice and place is very comfortable
It was cheap so you got what you paid for
Furthur out of the city than preferable and the wifi was completely inhospitable!
The overall feel of the hostel was fantastic! It has character, rather than just being overly sterile like some other places I've stayed at. The Wi-Fi was pretty weak in most rooms, but very strong in the common room, where there was also a pc and several tables for people to spend time together. The hostel is just on the other side of the river from many of the most famous sites in Verona - if you can handle a 10-20 minute walk, you can reach just about anywhere!
The walls are very thin and we could hear all the other people. Admittedly, my group stayed up late in the common room so I'm sure we might have disturbed other guests. It is something you need to be conscious of while staying here. (Also, towels are €1 each! Not too bad since it's a cheap place to stay, but be prepared for that!)
