The room with the number 307 was very comfortable at a fair price

The room with the number 212 was very small and not a fair deal

Great central location, in the middle between the Vatican and the colosseum. We walked everywhere Lovely clean functional room, that was plenty big enough as we weren't there much. Great buffet breakfast, posts of choice and all fresh. Good free Wifi The staff were very friendly and helpful

No view from our room, we just looked at a wall, but we weren't there much and the room garden had good views so it wasn't a problem

Shuttle went wrong both to and from airport. The shuttle at the return did not come to the hotel early morning at 04.30. The man in the reception was not very kind when we complained! :(. a taxi brought us to the airport for half price of the shuttle!

Attentive, helpful staff, very central location with excellent Trattoria opposite. Advantage of easy public transport connections, bus/tram in nearby Largo Argentina. Delighted to discover this hotel!

The Location was perfect 15 mins from St Peters Square 20 mins from the Colosseum and 3 mins from Campo de Fiori a fantastic market during the day and great bars in the evening . The staff were very helpful at all times. Hi Eugene

Location was perfect for touring the city. Room was comfortable. Staff was helpful.

The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is very well located in a pedestrian area full of cafés, restaurants and boutiques. The beds were very comfortable and the room perfectly clean. We were really delighted with the Hotel Smeraldo!!

Excellent location, all main attractions within 20 mins walking distance (most within 15 mins). You really get a feel of Italian life with an wonderful dining experience on the hotel doorstep called Moderna, which we can highly recommend. Our room on the ground floor slight let down but as all surrounding buildings are so close a view isn't really an option although there is a roof top terrace.Hotel clean and comfortable, friendly helpful staff. Would certainly consider the hotel as a base on our next time in Rome.

Loved the location, charming hotel near many sites. Staff was helpfull, bed and bathroom great. breakfast was good.

Hate to mention it but really hated super strong air freshener smell in lobby area.

The stay was generally excellent. The staff at the reception desk were exceptionally helpful.

The position is the best in Rome, just behind Campo de Fiori

For 140€ per night we didn't appreciate the strong smell of sewer coming from the toilet, faulty shower, internet voucher valid for 1 pc only, so not possible to alternate with another device, and minibar completely empty

Central Location Friendly Staff Value for Money

Very good location, clean,quiet and central.

The receptionists were not the friendliest people on earth. It was very hard to get any information, or even a friendly smile from any of them. The so called roof terrace was a laundry store, and was rarely open.

Excellent location, simple but modern and adequate facilities. Very good value. Room small but large enough for a normal-sized couple. Breakfast limited in variation but more than ample for what was required. Very pleasant English-speaking staff everywhere. Clean room, modern bathroom and comfortable bed. Our room was very quiet.

Television channels did not include any English-speaking channel apart from CNN. But who goes to Rome to watch the TV in a hotel room?
