Everything! Location was great, just a little ways out of town, off the road so it was quiet. Very friendly and helpful staff (especially Jacomo). Breakfasts were excellent with great food and good variety. It was a pleasant 10 minute walk to the gate to "Old Siena". The day it rained we found that a bus stopped right at the entrance to the hotel and took us into town and back home again. The hotel had tickets for the bus that we could buy which made it super convinient. The hotel had a good parking area for our car which was important to us.
There was nothing that we disliked about this property.
The area for restaurants , bars was very good and near all the main attractions
The hotel, it had no wow factor on any level.
Very clean.staff friendly.
Breakfast poor,no hot food.rooms very modern but small.
Hotel close to a lot of sites got to see a lot in one day :-)
Lift very small.
Bed was comfortable.
Just about everything else. Elevator was unreliable an often would carry only one person with no bags. Shower way too small even for european standards. Breakfast just average. Staff cold and not friendly.
Location is great. Room was a bit narrow and I have seen two other rooms and they were like that too. Thankfully they gave us a relatively wide room so we could set our baby's travel cot. Breakfast was OK. Staff is helpfull.
My choice of room was a "Double Room with Balcony". But there was a 30 cm extention out of the room that I can't classify as a balcony. Sometimes wifi was weak.
Location, comfort, staff, breakfast, roof gardens x3 This hotel is split into two. 2nd annex across the road. We stayed here. Nice and secure.
Could have done with bar area or even kettles in the room. There is a fantastic bakery outside that even walking tours are taken to. Also take away coffee shop few doors away.
Hotel is situation very near to Campo de Fiori. Close walking distance to loads of the main sites and plenty of restaurants near by Good Wi-Fi and good selection for breakfast. Room had everything we need and was spotlessly clean. Would definitely recommend this Hotel
Location! I walked the city. Quaint, quiet, clean. Enjoyed the breakfasts. Loved my stay!
Nothing! I would choose this hotel again.
We arrived around 10am. Our paperwork was all ready for us all we had to do was sign. They gave us a room upgrade. New furniture and fixtures. Though the room was a little small it worked perfect for us. Very clean and comfortable. The WiFi wasn't great but it was free! So is breakfast.... Though we never made it down in time. I will be back to Rome and plan on staying at HOTEL SMERALDO.
location very good, very clean and friendly
Could we have more fruit choices for breakfast please.
The location of the Smeraldo is just excellence, close to all the main attractions. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful.
Located in annex building across the road, upgraded for free from main hotel. Lift, room very nicely furnished.
wifi patchy, no english tv channels in over 200+
Location was good. Very nice breakfasts but nothing hot.
Very small room and tiny bathroom. Could not turn around in shower. Very small lift which took ages to come and the was only big enough for 2 people. TV had 61 channels but not one in English or any other language except Italian!
We were given a room on the side of the hotel that was being refurbished. We heard the noise and I went back to reception to ask about it. I was told that as it was Friday there wouldn't be any work the next day. Saturday morning we were woken up by the sound of building works. Sunday there were no works being carried out. Monday morning we were woken up by a kangohammer in the room above us. It was horrendous. A full crew directly above breaking up the marble floor. I recorded the sound and my husband went upstairs and took some photos. The workmen were very surprised and apologetic, it wasn't their fault we'd been given the room we had been. I went to reception and complained. We were moved to another room and given a very small discount on the stay. We were there for five nights, so why we were told at the beginning that it wouldn't be a problem is anyone's guess.
Excellent location. Close to great restaurants and bars. Walking distance to some sights.
First room we were given was too small and dark but there was no problem changing to bigger brighter room.
This hotel is ideal for travelers on a budget - it's very well located and the rooms, although small, are perfectly serviceable especially considering the cost.
Bathrooms are small - in particular the shower.
The museums, especially Musei Capitolini, Musei Vaticani and Altemps. Excellent espresso everywhere! Best pizza, we have ever tried.
Hollandeise footballfans, destroying the city. Spanish steps in winter without flowers. Trevi fountain under reconstruction.
Great location near to lots of attractions. Friendly and helpful staff. Free wifi and clean room. Great breakfast included!
There was construction working on at 7 am every morning including Saturday. I was not happy with this.
Fantastic location for the price - right in the heart of the authentic part of the city. Rooms clean and perfectly fine for a short break. Breakfast good too and staff very friendly. Would definitely recommend it if in Rome with family and looking for a central hotel on a budget. Try and get a refurbished room if you can.
Noise of two separate groups of noisy room neighbours at night.
Breakfast was great!
The elevator was too small.
Location and staff help
Nothing to record
Clean and comfortable
Staff could be friendlier
