The rooms were quite small but this was probably inevitable due to the location and if all you want to do us sleep there it's not a problem. Although small the staff kept them immaculately clean
This hotel is perfectly situated for all the top sites of Rome. We covered everything on foot. Surrounded by great places to eat and lovely shops and delis. Together with helpful super friendly, efficient staff our stay was great. The rooftop terrace is a bonus you could sit in the sun. Have a drink or a snack or just have a rest from sightseeing
The Air conditioner did not work and neither did the safe. Also, the morning we were checking out and flying out of Rome we did not get our pre-arranged wake up call!-thank goodness for the I phone back up!
clean adequate facility, very obliging staff.
The hotel do not use the air-condition wintertime, and we had 25 centigrade in the room with almost no ventilation. Open window is OK if you use ear protection; otherwise rather noisy from the street and nearby restaurants. If we had know that in advance we might have selected another hotel. Otherwise the perfect place to stay when in Rome.
This hotel is located very central in Rome, but rather far away from the metro. Many nice restaurants in the vicinity. Nice friendly staff, clean and proper. The hotel offer shuttle service to and from the airport which for 2 persons is cheaper than train to St. Termini and taxi
Very little to dislike. Breakfast tables were a little too close together so not much room, but it won't spoil your stay.
Smeralda is located in the best spot in Rome. You step out of the front door and you are right in the middle of buzzing city life. Most places of interest are in walking distance.
the room looks much bigger in the pics the eating area is small too
The staff and facilities were great also it is so central for almost all of the tourist spot and places of interest in Rome. I would recommend it to anyone for a value for money place to stay.
Quite expensive no much choice about breakfast
Helpful staff Comfort room Shower room was pretty good
Cold water in the morning
It was top notch
Would of been nice to have tea and coffee facilities in the room. But not a complaint just an observation.
The location was fantastic and the staff are very helpful.
Air Con not on. Noisy outside all night.
Location. Breakfast. WiFi. Clean Rooms.
Rooms are very small. Breakfast was not enough for me, for example there was only one kind of cheese. Shower was amazingly small that couldn't turn around in shower. I think some of the staff could be a little more friendly
Location is perfect. You can go everywhere by walking.
Although the room was generally clean there was dust in the bottom of the wardrobe and a plastic Fanta orange bottle under the bed.
Staff arranged for a taxi collection on arrival. Location is fantastic. Roof terrace is a bonus to relax at the end of the day.
Everything very good. Only thing I think some of the staff could be a little more friendly. All very efficient. Maybe just the Italian way.
We loved the nearness to everything. Have stayed here before. This time got a superior room a little more expensive but worth it new bathroom and room more spacious. Also has great restaurant straight across the lane. Tratorria moderna. Best meal ever and not expensive.
There was nothing that we disliked about this property.
Everything! Location was great, just a little ways out of town, off the road so it was quiet. Very friendly and helpful staff (especially Jacomo). Breakfasts were excellent with great food and good variety. It was a pleasant 10 minute walk to the gate to "Old Siena". The day it rained we found that a bus stopped right at the entrance to the hotel and took us into town and back home again. The hotel had tickets for the bus that we could buy which made it super convinient. The hotel had a good parking area for our car which was important to us.
The hotel, it had no wow factor on any level.
The area for restaurants , bars was very good and near all the main attractions
Breakfast poor,no hot food.rooms very modern but small.
Very clean.staff friendly.
Lift very small.
Hotel close to a lot of sites got to see a lot in one day :-)
Just about everything else. Elevator was unreliable an often would carry only one person with no bags. Shower way too small even for european standards. Breakfast just average. Staff cold and not friendly.
Bed was comfortable.
My choice of room was a "Double Room with Balcony". But there was a 30 cm extention out of the room that I can't classify as a balcony. Sometimes wifi was weak.
Location is great. Room was a bit narrow and I have seen two other rooms and they were like that too. Thankfully they gave us a relatively wide room so we could set our baby's travel cot. Breakfast was OK. Staff is helpfull.
Could have done with bar area or even kettles in the room. There is a fantastic bakery outside that even walking tours are taken to. Also take away coffee shop few doors away.
Location, comfort, staff, breakfast, roof gardens x3 This hotel is split into two. 2nd annex across the road. We stayed here. Nice and secure.
Hotel is situation very near to Campo de Fiori. Close walking distance to loads of the main sites and plenty of restaurants near by Good Wi-Fi and good selection for breakfast. Room had everything we need and was spotlessly clean. Would definitely recommend this Hotel
Nothing! I would choose this hotel again.
Location! I walked the city. Quaint, quiet, clean. Enjoyed the breakfasts. Loved my stay!
We arrived around 10am. Our paperwork was all ready for us all we had to do was sign. They gave us a room upgrade. New furniture and fixtures. Though the room was a little small it worked perfect for us. Very clean and comfortable. The WiFi wasn't great but it was free! So is breakfast.... Though we never made it down in time. I will be back to Rome and plan on staying at HOTEL SMERALDO.
