Hotel Marine is 320 yards from Santa Maria Novella Train Station and a 10-minute walk from Florence Cathedral. In a 14th-century building, it has free Wi-Fi in the lobby.
Score from 458 reviews Good
No reception Not clean enough Plastic "furniture" Shared/common fridge Definitely not worth the money Pixctures do not depict actual hotel state
Spacy and renovated room. Good wifi. 20 minutes walking from center and railway station.
A bit difficult to find it (no label outside). Entrance of building may look old but rooms are renovated and nice.
Good situation. Charming personal. You can park in some areas around for free. Wifi OK. In a 20min walk or less you get the Duomo.
Nice staff, big room, a/c, good location
nice staff supportive and helpful even though weak english, really good furnished room, wifi worked, clean room to centre by walking in 10 minutes
parking - more expensive parking than it was in Roma (1,5€ per hour, from 8 a.m. - till 7 p.m.)
Massive room with huge bed and en suite bathroom, so the living space was very comfortable, and the location was quite convenient for walking into the centre of town.
They no longer serve breakfast, which was not made very clear in the fine print on the website and meant we had to adjust our plans, having expected a Bed and Breakfast to have both bed and breakfast components. We also struggled a little with communication as the proprietor of the hotel has little to no English.
Clean rooms not far from center of the city with individual bathroom. Good wifi.
Close to the city centre and well connected till almost midnight through public transports.
Our bathroom hadn't window; there wasn't box or curtain for the shower so we wet the floor, surfaces and wall.
the room is very clean. the bed is big and you can watch tv there.
15 min from the center. clean.
- no 24H reception...after 22:00 security man no talking english. - good location - 10 minutes by walk to city center
- no wifi...terrible at this time - breakfast no included and price no so low
The personal was very very sympa ans helpful. He gave us a map and he told us where to go. He was super nice. Room was clean and bathroom was confortable.
There was no breakfast but it's bot a big problem. And it was 20 mins walking to the city by walking.(you can walk or take a bus)
Price was great. Staff was very helpful for giving recommendations. Room was clean. AC worked great. Wi-fi speed was some of the best I've had in a hotel
Noise from the road outside
Huge room, got everything we need Friendly and funny host, try to explain and show us the location by Italian & English at the same time. Near bus stop to go to center.
Private but separate bathroom, the room is huge but lack of decoration. Hard to find for the first time (no signage)
Good location just 15 min. walk from center. Staff was also really friendly and helpful.
Maybee better indication. But still not so hard to find.
Very friendly staff. The large clean room. Good Wi-Fi. Good location.
Nice welcoming and very helpful. Spacious clean room. Good location. Nice amenities.
No fridge in the room and not a strong wi-fi.
They area bed and breakfast, but when I asked about the breakfast they told me that it was not included and I had the impression they do not provide breakfast. I found a towel with a stain on it.
A lot of noise from the street.
Excellent overall service.
A bit hard to find the hotel. They didn't have any sign outside only little paper in the front door com.
Everything was fine when you consider the price. Staff was helpful and friendly, rooms were clean and bus lines were right outside the front entrance.
Road noise was bad. Motorcycle and auto traffic all night long
Elevator, friendly receptionist, historical city center easy to reach on foot. TV lcd.
Unusual in Italy, but the private bathroom was without window. Our room (the building) was at the corner of an important crossing so just make sure you can manage cars and scooters' noise if you want to fully relax in the evening (May).
Walking distance to Accademia and Uffizzi gallery, and pretty much everything else you want to visit
It was really what we had expected, a simple room, that had its private bathroom. Clean, spacious, recently renovated. 20 min walk to Duomo, which was ok, as it was an interesting route. Also a bus stop just outside. Useful detail: panini place nearby is really great and not pricy.
It did not have any sign outside, suggesting there is a B&B inside. I believe that if anyone arrives late at night, there might have trouble both locating it and also getting in. There is a person at the reception only some hours each day, so it's better to make some arrangement, if you are going to arrive late. Also, the price (regarding Greek hotels with all the facilities provided) is expensive, for a simple non-hotel room, but still it was ok.
Everything as advertised. Convenient to transport to all parts of the city. Options for dinner & breakfast nearby. Friendly staff.
Inside the apartment could notice the traffic noise. Needed to carry luggage up 10 steps to get to elevator.
