Very polite and friendly staff. Nicely decorated and big double room. 20 minutes walk near by the river to the most famous attractions of the town. To find a free without payment parking was really difficult but this concerns the whole city and not the specific hotel.

The hotel is a bit away from the center which is not a problem in fine weather. The bed is very large (180x200), the room is pleasant and it is a great place for a good rest after busy day.

I called Nicoleta when we drove past the airport and she patiently waited for us to arrive (after getting lost several times). We'd requested reserved parking which was on the other side of the Arno, a few blocks away, but after the trials of getting to the hotel we opted for the small outdoor parking lot around the corner from the hotel. We had the Dante room, which is directly off the kitchen area. I'm not sure where the other rooms where, but I'd asked for a room with a view and she said this was the best view (it was a huge corner room). She showed us all details about the room and the kitchen, where there is a coffee machine, juices and water 24/7. The hotel is in an old building and lovely from the outside, our corner room had views of the street and was very open. Both it and the bathroom were very clean. Breakfast was served in the kitchen, so we didn't have far to go, and it she had a large spread of cakes and breads available. We walked to the Ponte Vecchio that night and around St. Spirito and back. Although a bit off the tourist area (which we liked) it within walkable distance to pretty much anything and close enough to the Arno to give you something to look at while you are walking. Note of caution: Do not open the windows in May without realizing there are mosquitos that will come in and will get you. Our oversight, not the hotel's.

Beautiful room. The location is ok. There is a bus stop right out the front of the hotel which goes into the main area of Florence otherwise it is a 20-30 min walk to the main sites. The breakfast was enough to fill you but no variation which was fine for us, just depends on what you are after. For the money we paid was excellent value for money. You do hear a lot of noise throughout the night from outside as there is a restaurant/cafe under the b&b. There was an electric flame heater in our room but we were told we couldn't use it as the electricity socket was broken and had not been fixed so we had to use the air con to heat the room which wasn't really adequate.

Good location, nice room, and very clean. I agree with the good rating. Would easily give it a 8 out of 10. There is public parking lot just outside the hotel which is useful if you have a car. The cost is 1 euro an hour, but the charge is from 8:00 to 20:00, so any other hour it's free, and it will cost you 12 euro a day. Nikolette does her best to keep you happy. Wi-Fi signal was good in the room. Overall, I would be happy to stay there again. After a whole day of walking all over the city, the 2,5 km walk back to the accomodation might seem a bit long. But then again, you can always take the bus (it is a straight line) or just rent a bike (there are bike lanes). Also, note that the shower (at least in the room I stayed) is quite small, so if you are a big sized person (fotunatelly I'm not), I guess it will be a bit of a challenge. Next time I would prefer not having the breakfast, but eating from the bakery right across the street. I know I am beeing a bit picky, but it's just because I was happy with everything else.

The elegance of the rooms is very high It is a big apartment arranged as a B&B, do not expect the silence of a normal hotel. The dining room was very close to the rooms and people speaking in the early morning can wake you up very early...with a little bit of disappointment.

The rooms are gorgeous, a dream. A+ for the designer. The location is great, close enough to the historical centre to walk, far enough to be able to drive there and park easily. Nicoletta, the manager is very friendly. The room even though clean had some stains on the floor especially in the bathroom. Only 3 tables in the breakfast room so you could wait a few minutes if you happen to find other guests there. Don't expect to sleep with the windows open as it's a busy square. Having said all this, I don't mind going there again.

I loved my stay at Sognando Firenze. The staff (Elvira and Nicolette) went out of their way to be helpful, accommodating and generally fantastic hosts. The accommodation was good value for money with excellent facilities and excellent breakfast included. The location is away from the hustle and bustle of the main train station and a short walk along the river. Although a bit further out it was not an issue at all. You need to catch a bus if you have heavy suitcases but otherwise you can be at the cathedral in a 15/20 minute walk down the river and the d bus is regular anyway. I was glad that it was located where it is as I could take in the views and it was very tranquil at night. I chose this b and b on the back of its excellent reputation and I was not disappointed! A lovely place to stay in a bellissima city!! Thank you

The breakfast was so good and everyone there was friendly. We stayed two nights and had a blast. It was a bit of a walk into the heart of Florence (about 15-20 minutes) but there were frequent buses and a taxi stop across the street. I would definitely stay here again.

Close by Piazza Michalangelo and Santa Croce, though it still have to walk 20-30 minutes. We have been told to take the bus to city after parking our car. If you study well the bus route will help a lot. Bus d or 23 will do. Public parking nearby is plenty but still busy most of the time. The private parking is on the other side of the bridge, it take you at least 20 minutes to walk there. The hotel itself got self service breakfast which is above average compare to other b&b in Italy. Be careful that there is no elevator and you have to take your luggage by stair to second floor.

Our room was beautifully decorated and clean, it looked just the photos. Good value for the price we paid. Read reviews about the loud tv guy upstairs and he still lives there, right over the 'romance room' but we had earplugs which were also handy in cutting the noise from traffic and taxi stand. It was a bit of a jaunt to see the sights but good for walking off supper.

The b&b was good basic accomodation about 20 minutes walk to the centre of Florence. A regular bus service was available from outside the b&b if you didn't fancy the walk. Breakfast was pretty basic but good value for the 2.5 euro asking price.
