the staff were friendly the standard of the room was very basic, shower didnt work, bath had no stopper, tv was very small poor selection of channels, room was very noisy I cant imagine how you would get sleep in high season, no attention to detail, decor leaves a lot to be desired. |

Very close to airport (7 miles), newly refurbished rooms, minibar, hairdryer, safe, tv, short walk to old town, opposite beach, small pool and poolside loungers etc, good breakfast included, balcony with good views, a very good choice for short break or beach holiday. Bar not very inviting, restaurant not open in evenings in low season, but very little wrong here. |

Clean room. Courteous staff. Decent breakfast. Well located to beach and to old town. Every room has a lovely balcony view of the bay. I would have liked a fuller, more international menu of Satellite tv. The shower cubicle was a little confining. Perhaps some attention could be given to the mosquitoes. There are low tech way to combat mosquitoes. The hotel could easily employ some of those. |

Balcony overlooking the Mediterranean, Excellent breakfast buffet, clean facilities Hand towels were "different", bath towels a little frayed at the edges. Roll out bed not very comfortable, causing my daughter to sleep on the couch. |

Reasonably priced basic hotel, clean and no frills. Pool overlooking the sea. Feels a bit like a hospital, a little sterile. Level of English spoken by staff is not high but they do try to help. |

Very dated and rather expensive for the standard, however the room was a decent size and as it was near to the front we could see the sea. Bathrooms need a refit. |

The hotel is very close to the beach and about a 10 minute walk into the old town which is very convenient. The hotel has a pool which is quite refreshing after a hot day on the beach. The hotel has just been redone so its very clean and tidy. The beaches are quite nice, better if you go further to the right away from the town. The only thing was that there was an ocassional sewerage smell wafting for a few days but that could just be the heat and old sewerage systems you could expect in most Italian towns. We paid 200 euros per night for the room which i thought was particulary expensive for what we got. In saying that I think its the same for most hotels in the area, with limited availability they able to increase their rates accoridng to demand. I am sure we would not have paid that much staying in any other 3 star hotel in the Med. The breakfast is continental with a relatively good selection, but was rather unhappy on the 3r day when I got "blasted" for using the mustard I found on one of the tables, being told its "privado" and only for use for lunchtime! I asked for mayonnaise but was told they do not have. Just a little rant but overall the breakfast for what it was, was not bad. The hotel staff speak very little English. |

The hotel was directly opposite the beach and about a 20 minute walk from the old town of Alghero, where most of the restaurants, shops and cafes were. There was also a supermarket nearby. We would have preferred the hotel to be nearer the old town. |

Excellent position for the beach. If you enjoy a leisurely walk, you can access the Town fairly easily, but it is a fair walk. Rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. Soundproofing required - you can hear other rooms plumbing from within your own room and voices echo through the corridors. Having said that, as a base for a short break it was ok, but I would say a bit costly for what it was. |

Very clean, very friendly staff, even though they did not speak English very well. They allowed us to use the swimming pool after check out, even provided us with towels to do so. The breakfast is not very good, no need to wake up for it. Having a coffee and croissant in a cafe down the road will give a better feeling about your vacation. |

The general position of the hotel, it was perfect for the beach and very close to the old town where there was a fantastic choice of quality restaurant. |

Situated 100 metres from Alghero’s San Giovanni beach, Hotel La Playa has good facilities including a pool and garden and is well-located for restaurants, entertainment and the old town. |
With every room having a balcony overlooking the Mediterranean or the garden, this elegant 5-star hotel also offers various leisure facilities, a panoramic bar and exclusive car hire for guests. |
Oasis is a modern hotel situated on the Alghero Fertilia Coast near a beautiful municipal pine wood which separates it from a delightful and peaceful beach. |
There is no better way to experience Alghero than staying at cosy, comfortable establishment, cared after by a friendly, helpful staff. This is exactly what you’ll find at Hotel Alguer. |
