Located in an old building, the Sonnino Suite was relatively easy find and the front desk reception was friendly and helpful. Our room was small but comfortable.
Toilet was hard to use, the bidet was in the way. The very tiny and old elevator was not working when we left and so we had to carry our luggage down 6+flight of stairs.
The location is excellent close enough by walk to all the major tourist attractions. Although its on the main road, it is not noisy. The staff were very friendly both Syrus and Guilia. Syrus went out of the way to make our stay comfortable. Our room was very spacious fitted with a super soundless AC and the suites had a lift!
The rooms do not have a tea or coffee machine. That was our biggest drawback considering all they need to provide is a hot water kettle, some tea and instant coffee sachets! Wifi was excellent in the lobby and a bit weak in the room we stayed in. I assume they use an instant water heater for the shower that allows short bursts of hot water, although I cannot really complain about it! The plus points are more than the negatives.
Quaint hotel on a quiet street in the middle of Trastevere. I booked this place due to its location, price and great reviews but was not expecting it to be quite as good as it is! Definitely recommend to travelers looking for a comfortable, no frills, inexpensive stay in one of Rome's most desirable neighborhoods.
location in the Trastevere ], good transport link to center, but we walked everywhere, used tram to local train station. Room very clean and comfortable, we were at the back so no street noise, Ideal base for what we needed. Staff friendly, would use again if returning to Rome.
Nothing to complain, we knew what we booked.
The location - so close to all of the tourist spots but also bars and restaurants. The staff - Giulia was super nice and super helpful and very understanding about us arriving so late (for both stays!) The views - both rooms we stayed in had great views across Trastevere Value for money - the room was quiet and very comfortable. An excellent budget-friendly option.
The wi-fi was a bit patchy at times.
Staff was extremely friendly and helpfull. The reception is not 24hrs though, but from 8.30 to 20.30. Not a real problem, because you get your own key. The location was really convenient. The room was quite large.
No breakfast. Only one key to the room. The hotel is quite difficult to spot. You really have to have the address, otherwise you will never find it.
Good sized room in a great location, for a very affordable price
Wifi signal was a bit patchy
- Very big room - clean - extremely friendly staff - great value for money - in the heart of a bustling part of the city with great eating nearby
- no breakfast - wifi was unreliable
The location in Trastevere is great for both those who wanna stay in Trastevere (everything you need close by foot) & others: buss stops just a few steps away. The house is very nice and quiet, just as are the rooms of the suites. My single room was tiny but very clean and lovely. The staff is helpfull and nice. I stayed one night before going to Napoli, after my stay I booked again for my last night in Trastevere & will for sure return when back in Rome again! Special thanks to Giulia at the reception desk!
position, comfort, staff, cleanliness, value for money
A very convenient hôtel close to the lively Trastevere district but still quiet . Close to the Panthéon and nicely and simply décorated ! Good value . I will recommend this place to my friends .
Location is perfect,in the heart of Trastevere and many Roman sights within walking distance.Great choice of restaurants and bars a few minutes away.Clean room and bathroom and polite, helpful receptionist.Recommend this place and will gladly return!
Not much to complain about. Our room was quite small but adequate for our 2 night stay. Was quite noisy at night with the windows open, but after closing them and turning the ac on was no problem.
Everything is great
Wifi is bad in our room
Thanks to alessandro we enjoy our short visit to firenze The huge room was beautiful
We could hear the neighbours
The staff were great and went above and beyond to help us and make us feel welcome.
We loved the Trastvere location, footsteps from tram and bus, all kinds of great food and shopping within 5 minutes walking.
Wish we had more time there.
The location was great, and staff was friendly. Trastevere is an amazing neighborhood. The (triple) room was also very large for Europe, and Wifi and ac worked well.
It hasn't the cleanest hotel I ever stayed in. There was a lot of dust behind the bed, and we often didn't have our towels replaced. But overall, given the cost and location, it was a great value.
Great place, really easy to go on foot everywhere you want. Also the girl which works there was very nice and helpful while the guy was not su much.
The internet was terrible, it was hardly working.
The location was very good for getting to the major tourist sites and the places we were interested in. The staff was very helpful.
The WiFi connection was very spotty which was quite annoying. The staff is only available from 8:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. The immediate surroundings included a sex shop and didn't give a sense of comfort and security.
everything, the size, the cleanliness, the location. travelled for a month in europe and sonnino suites was the best hotel we had. at 60 euros, it was a steal. seriously. i would have thought the place was worth 100euros at least. the room even had a 3rd bed so it sleeps 3
Located in Trastevere in a walking distance to the most spots. Overall a good low-budget place to spend a couple of nights.
Wi-Fi wasn't available in our room (no. 8). The elevator (4 floor) was out of order during our stay.
Spot on location very charming appartment. Fantastic staff who were very helpful and great location for bars restaraunts and transport. I cannot imagine a better place to stay in Rome for the money.
It's only a small things but there could have been a clearer sign on the front door.
Very helpful and friendly staff
We loved this place. At first, we had a little trouble finding the reception but once we found it the experience was nothing short of wonderful. Cyrus, was really nice and very accommodating. The room had everything we needed and was kept very clean. My girlfriend and I both liked staying here because of the great service, convenient location, and because the units had character. We hope to stay here again on our next trip to Rome. Ted and Inaja- US and Brazil couple
Internet signal was a bit week at times. That said, it still worked fine and we had a great experience.
