We liked the location as it was near the main train station (Termini). It was an easy walk to the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps.

It suited my needs perfectly - I could walk most places or it was close, but not too close, to Termini. It had more of a local / business presence to the area rather than a tourist one which I happened to like. The building was quaint but had everything I needed. They had a sign 'please make up my room' which you could use but when I didn't, that still made up the room. I was there for 5 nights and really did not need clean towels every day. That was all, though!

Value for money!!!!! Fabulous breakfast and warm and friendly staff. Room good at level five above street noise. Last guest must have been a heavy smoker - had to air the room. Extra pillows in wardrobe had not been changed - long black hair - not mine!!! Otherwise excellent hotel in great location!!!!

The elevator was an old vintage style but functional. The staff were friendly and helpful especially the porters. Most of the hotel that we went to in Austria and Italy do not have porter, But Hotel Sonya have porters The room was small with an old decor. The bathroom was not clean properly. When we first arrived, there were used disposable plastic cups and a dirty plastic cup hanging on the bathroom counter. It seem like the bathroom marble counter was not clean.

Lovely Hotel within resonable walking distance of just about everything. Simple, clean & comfortable rooms. Quality mattress, plenty of hot water for shower & a really useful little clothes line in the Bathroom - great for Independant ( Rohan ! ) Travellers. Great breakfast, served upto 10 a.m. with plenty of choice & plenty to eat for vegetarians. Extremely courteous & friendly staff, always happy to assist. Great value, we stayed for a week & would'nt hesitate to stay again. A really nice little hotel.

Location is excellent, close to train station and within 40 minutes walk to all attractions in Rome. Hotel staff was very disappointing: porter guy was very importunate, housemaid kept knocking and ringing on the door all the time though "do not disturb" sign was placed on the door, staff serving breakfast confused drinks we asked to bring etc.....

We, two girls, stayed there for 4 days during the spring 2013. We have just good comments to add, as all our expectations were filled and exceeded. The bed was large and comfortable, enough place for two friends for a good rest, the bathroom was large and very clean, the breakfast had good variation, the coffee was delicious, simply irresistible(we had more than one cup every morning). Staff was very friendly. We lived on 4th floor and our windows were pointed towards street which was not too busy, so we could sleep with an open window all nights. Really good wifi in room, free computers on lobby. Worth every penny!
