The personal was friendly and helpful, the internet connection was great and it is possible to print in case of web check-in or anything else! I did not like that they wanted to move me to another hotel across the street despite of booking the hotel 6 months before the arrive. I do not know why they try to move us. I choose the hotel because of the good rewiews of this concrete hotel!

The location was excellent - we transferred from Fiumicino Airport by train and it was a 5 minute walk away from the main station. We also liked the staff who were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel was spotless, the staff above and beyond and the breakfast great. I had a single and there is no way two people could have ever stayed in this room, but I did get a peek at a larger room and it looked lovely. While looking for an area of Rome to stay in, there were many negative comments about the Termini area, but I thought it was great. A surprise around every corner. I felt perfectly safe walking to and from all the major sites day and night. It was quite a trek mind you, but a lovely walk.

Good location, safetybox, bidet, good lighting, elevator (however narrow and old), 24hrs reception, breakfast included in the price, minibar (softdrinks)/ refrigerator, bedsidetable, ac, cabeltv, high cealing (feels bigger), good beds, kettle in the room (for tea and coffee), openable windows, nice staff, quite area Crowded room, few good restaurants in the neighbourhood, sometimes deficient cleaning, breakfast doesn´t feel like a buffet, few sockets, late check in, somewhat narrow shower stalls, no place to put your bags, no trashcan, no threshold (lets light and sounds into the room)

Shower is really strong, a plus after a long day walking around in Rome. Hotel staff is really friendly and nice. Rooms are quite dark which made me a bit gloomy, and shower space is a bit small, I am not sure whether a big guy could get in there. Hotel location is a bit tricky as midway between Metro stations Termini and Repubblica, a little bit closer to Repubblica, but really quite far away from both stations. I would recommend getting a taxi back to hotel from historical region after a long way, which would only cost a few euros.

Nice location, nice and welcoming staff, price/quality ratio is a little bit overestimated! Price is slightly high for such a hotel! However we liked it!

The hotel has a great location close to the train station and also close to many sites. It was also clean and had great homemade cakes and pastries in the morning. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I liked that the windows in my room opened so I could regulate the temperature in my room. I also liked that they had free internet for up to 6 hours when you stay. Nice service. I don't have many complaints although it would have been nice to have a comfortable sitting area outside your room. There is really no lobby to speak of which is a problem when you are traveling with several people and sharing a room. There was also no extra bathroom in the sitting area which would have been nice.

In fact we stayed at another hotel from the same group, called The Opera Hotel. It´s very close from Hotel Sonya (1 minute walking), located at Calle Veneza. Location is very good, close to Republica Metro station (5 minutes walking) and Termini (10 minutes). Colosseo and Fontana di Trevi are about 20 minutes walking. Good breakfast Polite and helpfull staff Good cost/benefit Very small elevator (2 persons and a bag only inside) Tiny shower

Everything was really wonderful. The location, service, clean rooms with modern conveniences, very friendly staff, nicely decorated interiors. Good breakfast... I didn't expect to get so much for a reasonable price. The best *** hotel I have ever seen. Perfect location for walking tours, we did not use any public transportation. 7minutes from Termini station I would strongly recommend the hotel.

Excellent location about 10 mins walk from the main Termini station, right opposite the Opera House. Had a triple room on the 5th floor which was large, smart, comfortable and well exceeded our expectations, with the most comfortable bed ever! Free safe in the room too was good. Breakfast was continental buffet but plenty of it and staff were always friendly and helpful. We walked to all the main sites from the hotel, Spanish Steps about 20 mins, Colosseum about 20 mins too. Vatican City and St Peters Square just a bit further but a pleasant walk. Plenty of shopping, bars and restaurants within easy reach, altogether an excellent hotel in an excellent location and would not hesistate to stay there again. Highly recommended for a stay in Rome.

The hotel was modest but very comfortable. We were moved to the Opera rooms on Via Firenze. Only 1/2 block away. By U.S. standards the room was small. By Rome standards large room. Beds too hard for my liking. Very clean rooms. Nice bathroom with big shower. Loved having a window to open. No view though. Elevator was great after a long day of walking. Attractive breakfast room with tasty breakfast each morning. All employees very friendly and helpful except for one glaring exception...young lady who served breakfast was not friendly at all, never a smile. Someone needs to have a serious talk with her. Hard beds most unfriendly server in breakfast room.

The location is excellent good access to train, metro and bus. The room were not so big but very clean. The temperature of shower was sometimes unstable, but it did not matter so much because the room temperature was well air-conditioned. The break fast is not so luxurious, but it is enough to have a good start in the morning for sight seeing or business.

“The hotel is in an excellent location. It is less than a 10 minute walk from the main (Termini) train station and the Metro station. The staff was very helpful offering advice on local restaurants(try Cotto's) and directions to all the sights . We walked to the Coloseum in 15 minutes. Rooms were very clean and the bathrooms were large and tiled. Breakfast was very nice with assorted pastries, cereals, juices, meats, boiled eggs, etc. They even went the extra mile and called a cab to the airport for us. Location, location, location. ” James, Indian Land |
