Score from 399 reviews Very good
Gabriel was friendly and helpful, a delight in this family run b & B. Perfect location in the Naples historic district, and right across from the Dante metro stop. Full of charm and character, very much an Italian home. Even the elevator, which cost 10 euro cents, was fun in its own way...
Poor wifi, and outside signage was so small, easy to miss.
Very good welcoming of the host, who spoke French very well for us! Gave us advices about the city (train to go to pompei, etc.) The B&B is very well located, at some meter from place Dante, which is between the historical center (2minutes) and shopping street (1mn) and 15mn walk from the harbour to take the boat to Capri . The room was cleaned every day
nothing in particular (only the shampoo & soap offered were not good quality, better take yours with you)
The location was great being in the historical district. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, giving us great advice and info on Pompeii etc. The room was spacious and clean. We'd definitely would go back again.
Nothing in particular. If you don't have a 10 cent on you for the lift then it's a bit of a climb to the top. Good for working off all the pastries I suppose!
Gabriel was one of the most helpful hosts I have ever encountered. The location was central to all major tourist sites and the accommodations were just great.
Really all very nice, in the heart of Naples , very clean rooms and quiet, exceptional breakfast!
I will return
B&B Soriano44 is really beautiful, very quaint, very quiet an island in the chaos of Naples.Breakfast with a view of the castle, with fresh pastry goods.
Lovely place!Very quaint!rooms clean and quiet .In the centre , where everything can be visited on foot.
Everything was perfect
CONFORT OF THE BED, A BIT NOISY
Loved the rooftop terrace and helpful staff and location
Hard to find, and you need a ten cent coin to use the elevator. Tons of street noise. Get a good map and bring ear plugs.
Everything was great! the staff went above and beyond with the service. Myself and girlfriend stayed with the whole family in other rooms...great for us all to be together and so close to the town ....just a few steps away.
nothing to complain about
Free internet access.
Not knowing Naples all we told was that Naples was a very Ancient City.
The central area of Naples can be grimy and very busy with crazy traffic and honking horns. Even though Soriano 44 was in the midst of this, it felt like a quiet oasis. You are in easy walking distance of the Archeological Museum, restaurants and churches. The subway was one short block away.
While the elevator was tiny and you had to put 10 cents in it for every use, you could appreciate it for the character it gave the overall experience of staying at the B&B. The air conditioning in one of our party's rooms did not work.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Comfort. Cleanliness. Lovely roof terrace. Location. Character. Good transport links.
The hospitality of Gabriel, the quirkiness, good brekkie on the roof garden, comfy room and a lift to get there.
Staff and querkiness.
Felt that we were given an inferior room as only a short 2 night stay.
Great location, very friendly and helpful staff
Everything was great, location, staff very friendly and helpful.
great location, friendly and helpful staff
Wonderful staff, very friendly; hostel is in a great location, close to the Centro Storico; breakfast is very good, and had on a rooftop terrace outdoors when the weather is good. All in all, a great place to go!
There was a slight problem with reservations, so my room was changed from one in Soriano44 to one in I Vicoletti (the other half of the same hostel (same staff etc.) - in the adjoining building, connected to it via the roof terrace) which was perfectly fine and nice, but the new room didn't quite have the wonderful old-fashioned ambience of the Soriano one.
the kindness of the staff, the nice terrace, the good breakfast, the original furniture, it's very close to the main things ( archeological museum, the Cathedral...) you can just walk around, there's plenty to see...
they switch off the air-conditioning at night
This B&B made you feel like a home from home. The location is in the old city and you could feel the history of Napoli all around you. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and our hosts were very helpful. Breakfast was served on the roof top garden, which was very good.
The apartment was very clean, comfortable big double bed and lots of closet space. The fan that was in the room was not working, but although it was late the owner was still reachable and handed us the remote to the AC. With that said thou the apartment had a comfortable temperature most of the time anyway which was really nice (we stayed there beginning of July) Location is really close to piazza Dante and there was a lot of music coming from there at the time of our visit. With windows shut and (for sensitive people like myself) earplugs it wasnt bad thou.
The elevator cost 10 p but it wasnt really a big deal since we had been prepared for this. They do daily cleaning of the apartment but since we slept in everyday we were still in the place when the cleaner knocked on the door the first day, He apologized and didnt come back again that day. Left a note in the reception for the next day just to say we wouldnt be out and about until about noon so cleaning could be done after that but nothing was done that day either. With this said this was not a problem thou since cleaning wasnt really needed, we only stayed for 3 nights. Only thing is i whished they had put a few extra toilet rolls in the bathroom already when we arrived, cause we had to call the owner (again late at night) when the one roll ran out which was a bit embarassing ;)
central and easy to get around - lovely friendly staff, decent breakfast - rooms decorated in 'old world' style - lovely high ceilings and immaculately clean - gorgeous roof terrace.
room 11 is lovely but very noisy being situated by the lift - somebody also had her tv on until 3 am - room 8 much better (we stayed twice in a period of 12 days)
We chose B&B Soriano44 mainly for its location - close to the centre, the museum (short walk away) and Piazza Dante, which has a metro station, connecting to Garribaldi, from which you can easily (and all on the same ticket) get to Herculaneum and Pompeii. It is a lovely B&B - very unusually set out, with a walk over the roof top to our rooms - we had an apartment (with small kitchen) and twin room for the kids, which were close to each other. The rooftop sitting area is what sets this place apart - it is a lovely place to have breakfast (which was very good), and relax at the end of the day, with views over the rooftops to the castle. The owners are very friendly, with good English. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 days here.
A quiet and calm space in a frenetic city.
Naples - it really is vile. Have travelled all over Italy and this was my first and last time here
