everything really, location, space, helpfulness of staff, the list goes on. cannot fault anything
Lovely self-contained apartment with balcony overlooking the quiet street, excellent staff who spoke English with a great kitchenette for preparing own meals. Bed was comfortable but wi-fi dropped out sometimes in the room.
Staff were friendly and helpful. The apartment was comfortable. Location was great, very close to the marina and lift. Washing was done for 5 euros which was good value (they don't have a dryer so make sure you allow time to dry outside).
No tea towel or scourer provided in kitchen so washing up a bit of a problem. SKY TV lacked English language option or English channels (part from Aljazeera and possible one other) - so limited viewing.
We booked Sorrento Appartments largely because the price was good. I never really expected the reality to live up to the pictures on the website, but if anything it was even nicer. The location in the old part of town is great, the staff were really friendly and the room was just lovely.
The only slight drawback is that it could be a little noisy as the building is quite echo-y. It wasn't a big problem though.
The location was wonderful. The room/apartment was great. We had a balcony that overlooked the street. The Staff was very helpful. I would wholeheartedly recommend this apartment and Sorrento.
Very clean mordern vibe. It was compact but well organized. Staff were very friendly and spoke good English which was very handy. Staff gave great insight to the local area and had great suggestions. I would stay here again.
No towel hooks or hand towel hangers. This should be a easy fix. Definitely not a deal breaker.
Small hotel but the staff/owner is very friendly and gave us a lot of helpful information.
Place of taking shower is too small, so during bath the curtain is alway "sticking" to your body. Besides the curtain is not long enough and water splashed all over the floor. Hope to improve this.
As soon as we arrived, we were made to feel welcome by Mirko and his staff. We liked that we were in the center of Sorrento and could walk to everything, but since the apartments were located on a quiet street, we could get away from the tourists and activity. We had a one bedroom apartment with kitchen and balcony. We were very happy to have a balcony and feel it is worth the extra price to be able to go outside for a snack or just to relax. There is no view to speak of but pleasant nevertheless. The kitchen was set up nicely, but we would have liked a microwave which our particular apartment did not have. We were disappointed to find that the one bedroom label was not quite what we expected as it was really one large bedroom area with kitchen facilities. We assumed that we would have a separate bedroom. The bathroom was quite nice with an excellent and large shower. The security to enter and leave was very good. To leave you press a button outside, and the gate opens and then closes behind you. There is also a casual bar/restaurant attached to the apartments, so there is always someone at the desk into the evening. We ate there several times, and the wait staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was nicely decorated, the staff friendly, the location excellent, the tv had Skye channels, and there was daily cleaning service. For 5 euros per wash, we were also able to have our clothes washed, a service that was greatly appreciated.
We would have liked a microwave in the kitchen and think that the one bedroom should be renamed large studio, since in fact, there was not a separate bedroom.
The location of the apartment was centrally located in the historic center. Very easy to catch the ferry to Capri, walk to all restaurants, but was on the quieter end of the historic district which was an added bonus. We loved being able to walk out of the building and walk around the town. We especially loved going to the bar located downstairs from the apartment and interacting with the family that owned and ran the apartments/restaurant. The family were extremely helpful in all aspects of the room, places to go, etc. We were very impressed.
The only small issue I had was that the beds were a bit hard, but we found that to be the in case in all the places we stayed in.
This family owned Boutique Style was a perfect match For my! Definately coming back!!
The location is perfect, easy walk from the metro but not on the main street so it's quiet at night. The owners of the hotel run the business so service is top notch. My husband and I were greeted at the front desk as if we were long time friends. Check in was a breeze and they carried our luggage right up to our apartment. The hotel has a cute bar/restaurant that we ate breakfast and would enjoy pre-dinner drinks. Mirko was so helpful, he made phone calls for us and help arrange a day trip! Everything was perfect at Sorrento Apartments!
Location was great, friendly and helpful service
Mattresses were a little too firm for our liking but all else was good
Very friendly welcome to this apartment. No breakfast provided but you can pay for the nice English Breakfast which is delicious. Location is good. If you are coming from the port, once you are out, you will see car park on the right. There's a walk path and walk through the car park. There's a sign where you can take the lift up. Just pay 1 Euro each to bring you and your luggage up. Once you are out of the lift, go to the left and turn right. Shortly turning right, turn left again and walk a few steps and the apartment is on your left. Room is great too.
Location, friendliness of staff and willingness to assist with everything e.g. tours, transfers, advice re dining, places to visit.
Hard bed, sub standard pillows.
The staff were extremely helpful, intelligent and fun. This place has a lovely feel and is a welcoming place to stay and eat at a very affordable price in the centre of Sorrento representing real value for money.
Can't think of anything!
The location was very good you could walk to the port or the train station and you were in the heart of all the shops.
Our room was very small and the bathroom was miniscule. The hairdryer was attached to the wall in the bedroom with no mirror so made styling your hair very difficult.
The location is fantastic within Sorrento itself. You're right in the middle of the busy cobbled streets and it's great to have everything nearby. The staff are very friendly and helpful. If there's anything you're particularly interested in they'll surely be able to make some recommendations for you. The apartment was very clean, not perfect but certainly acceptable. TV with Sky was nice, we only used it for music channels but it was nice while we were getting ready in the mornings. Having a balcony overlooking the street was fantastic, pay the extra if you can.
The location is great but it can get noisy. Scooters ride up and down in the early hours and the sound-proofing isn't good enough to block out the noise. Do not stay here is you plan to rent a car. The parking is a 15-20 minute walk and is not cheap. There are other places that have free on-site parking. The car park isn't accessible 24 hours and whilst it does include a shuttle to get you there and back, it doesn't run all day and you often have to wait for a lift to the apartments. We ended up cancelling one of our day trips because we weren't sure we'd be able to get back on time. Go elsewhere if you want to have a car. The kitchen is not well set up. It's essentially a fridge, kettle, moka pot, hob, sink and 1 cupboard. There was supposed to be a microwave too but there wasn't one. We didn't want one so we didn't ask about it but it should be there if it's listed. The room was lacking in sockets. We expected a socket either side of the bed but there was only one on one side. I had to charge my phone in the socket normally used for the kettle.
Clean appartment, friendly helpful staff, good location. The kitchenette facilities are adequate and there is more space than an ordinary hotel room. We had a balcony over the street, which is quite busy during the day, but quiet once the restaurants have closed.
We found the bed a little on the firm side.
The location was great, close to many shops and restaurants. Even the restaurant at Sorrento Apartments is great. Also having a Gelato place right next door was a huge bonus! The staff was simply fantastic. They are very helpful and friendly. We had one of the more economical rooms and still it was great. Stayed for 5 nights and wouldn't have mind staying for longer. Will definitely stay there again when we go back to Sorrento.
Can't think of anything we didn't like except that one morning there wasn't enough hot water for two showers. Not sure what caused it though, and we had the same problem in a hotel in Rome.
Very nice and friendly staff Room was comfortable and clean Great location - very close to restaurants, the port etc
Room was a little small and there wasn't much space to leave our large suitcases
noise from adjoining night club
Location - excellent. In the centre of everything. Restaurants, transport, supermarket, shopping. Cleanliness excellent. Wifi excellent. Well equipt Apartment with all amenities. Views fantastic. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.
Staff were excellent and very modern clean accommodation.
We only had one night at Sorrento apartments and it was great. Good service and facilities. We enjoyed the very central location. Great value.
We arrived late, hungry & tired (after 22:30). Because we were expected and had tried to call for help on finding the hotel (some roads had been closed off in town) there were staff outside, waiting to help us park, unload, carry our luggage, settle organise food, show us to our room and xplain the facilities. At all times during our stay we found the staff to be helpful and friendly. The room was well equipped, clean and everything worked efficiently.
