We stayed at the Sorrento Guesthouse (GH) for 3 days in July on the 3rd floor with a long narrow balcony overlooking a narrow pedestrian street. There is a very reliable lift. Maria who runs the GH is the perfect hostess. She familiarised us with the room and its features and what was available nearby. There is a coffee shop and restaurant directly below the GH both very good and a supermarket and laundry just round the corner. The restaurant provided takeaway so we could enjoy our dinner in our balcony. The coffee shop serves just about everything and is family run so you will bump into Maria's delightful mother and brother. This GH is in a great location near to the ferry port and train station although when you first arrive with luggage it seems a long way. We arrived by train and left by ferry. The room is very clean and felt like home with its wall features, wardrobe, comfortable bed, safe, couch and little dining table. The aircon works perfectly and so does the wifi. The bathroom is very practical and whilst compact it is not small - toiletries and hair dryer provided. Double doors open to the balcony which serves as an interesting people watching pastime, and we were able to dry our washing in 1 hour! In the early hours of the evening you can hear lovely italian music but generally by about 10pm it is very quiet. Maria is very helpful and we relied on her advice. She even printed our ferry tickets which we forgot in Naples. She also provided a kettle so we could enjoy a cup of tea in the room. I would definitely recommend this GH for a enjoyable stress free holiday. Saying goodbye to Maria was like saying goodbye to family.

The owner, Maria, was so kind and helpful. She made us feel very welcome at her cosy place. Located right in the heart of the historical center. Not fancy but comfortable and clean.

Maria was amazing, the elevator was a blessing, the room had a mini fridge and A/C and the balcony was icing on the cake! Everything was very clean and it was a great price - thanks to other reviews I knew to bring cash for payment immediately upon arrival (although she gave us the option to pay later).

It was difficult to find. Front door is very tiny and doesn't say Sorrento inn guesthouse - says B & B Sorrento (or something similar). I also didn't like leaving at the end of our stay :)

Loved the location on a side street packed.with shops, restaurants, bars and gellato shops. Everyone was friendly, many knew.at.least.some English, and everything we wanted.to.see.and.do.was within a 15 min walk.

The street sign to the Guesrhouse was covered with a vine making.it very difficult to find the first time.

Maria and her husband Luigi who manage the guest house were very nice people. We were given a choice of rooms on arrival which was nice. We also liked the location of the accommodation too being right in the heart of the old historic quarter of Sorrento. Free Wi-Fi was great and the bathroom was a good size and fitted with a modern suite. Lovely anique furniture in teh room too which was a nice touch.

Maybe an extra pillow on the bed would have been nice. A slightly larger refrigerator too. On the whole though everything was great.

    - Very clean, comfortable, and spacious room. - Friendly staff. We did not get to meet Maria, but she left a lovely note on the table. - Relatively quiet after 11pm. - Complete amenities in the bathroom. - Building has elevator. Sorrento lift was also close enough that we dragged our luggage there and did not feel tired.

The B&B is well located. Our room was at the rear of the building so it was quiet inside, even if it is on a busy tourist street. Maria, the owner, was welcoming and had good restaurant address to share.

Maria was great. Several family members run business nearby and are all very friendly and helpful

Nothing terrible. Problems with bathroom and toilet not flushing and water running constantly. Maria called repairman at once.

Great location...just a short walk to everything and absolutely spotless. Hostess helpful and simpatico.

Bed and pillows a bit on the hard side and the fact that there was no breakfast or at the very least tea making facilities. Nothing opens in Sorrento until 8.00am and by that time I was nearly dying for a cup of something.

Maria was waiting for us at the door when we walked up. The room had a beautiful tile floor and a spacious bathroom (triple room.) Maria was also very helpful answering phone calls and text messages giving us travel info on buses, trains and ferries. Staying at the Sorrento gets you a discount at the very good restaurant next door - be sure you confirm beforehand what the discount should be. One night it was 15%, the next it was 5%. We would stay there again.

Construction going on in the street at 6 a.m. - but can hardly be blamed on hotel.

The room and bathroom were freshly renovated and very spacious. Location is excellent - right in the center (though might be noisy for some people) and close to the elevator, which brings you to the boats. We were there in the beginning of Nov, no need to use air-condition, but, I believe, the rooms are equiped for the hot time.

There's no breakfast, but you can have a drink at the owners' little cafe in the morning, and a backery is in front of the Guesthouse.

Very nice room with lovely tile. No breakfast but large market on the main street and very good fruit stand on the same street as the inn. Fridge in the room makes breakfast easy. Good location to access train, port to Capri, and Amalfi coast bus. The woman who runs it is very helpful.
