Hotel Sorriso  

We had an enjoyable stay.

The atmosphere of the hotel was very cold - no pictures on walls. Breakfast was basic, no fresh fruit. Would not recommend this hotel if you want to be near to Venice, as the water taxi from Venice takes about 45 minutes and then you still have to take a bus to the hotel in Lido - another 15 minutes.

We got a warm welcome, very useful explanations about buses and transportation (vaporetto's lines to go to different places in Lido or Venice...), information about nice places to see and restaurants where you could avoid "tourist prices and poor food". The room was very clean and bright, and the bed was also very comfortable. We lacked nothing for breakfast, you'll get hot croissants with chocolate or marmelade inside... :)

Pretty affordable. Good and friendly staff. Nice location in Lido close to bus stop. But be careful, the ferry to Lido island took us 92 Euro (car + 4 people), plan this expenses when choosing hotels on Lido island.

Poor breakfast. The staff was pretty slow.

Hotel Sorriso is locateds just 10 min from Venezia Center and well connected with public transport Rooms are clean and pretty new

Breakfast is just "essential"

Good location - convenient for bus and beach.

Floor tiles in bathroom shower are very slippery and dangerous - in fact, I did fall and was very badly bruised (and lucky it wasn't worse!). When I advised staff, they provided a rubber mat!

It was away from the hustle and bustle of the Venice main land and so much more quieter and relaxing. If you wish to stay for a 3 or more days, this is a very good place.

What I found missing was, a closed shower.

Location:quiet place, easy parking, proximity to beach. Room was large, clean and comfortable. Friendly staff.

Breakfast could be better

It is perfectly located for combining a beach holiday with visits to venice and the surrounding islands, near Venice but out of the tourists crowds with 24h bus/vaporeto connection to everything, bus stop is 2min walk from the hotel.

There is no mini bar and no possibilities to buy cold drinks at the hotel or anywhere near the hotel late in the evenings. Extremely small shower cabin, actually the smallest I've ever seen, and the hot water has cooler spells, very annoying for someone who loves his morning showers. The breakfast could be improved, and the serving personnel was understaffed.

Hi Room was too small for 4 people and there was no own beach at hotel . Breakfast most minimum no ham no cheese and only one fresch bread . Only plus that hotel was renovated in a one or two years ago. One morning there was no water coming to hotel so we have to change hotel and wound on middle of Lido nice 2 room, two wc and living room and kitchen and hall , housing room including 3 new tv etc almost same price 110 m2.One week 1350 euros. Also they asked us to pay 5 days even we cancelled roon on Sunday and we arrived there on friday evening .I believe that right amount is some thing else , please comment. Regards Antti Kastinen

The hotel was clean and the staff was helpfull when we needed something.

The breakfast can not be classified as breakfast- it was poorly and we would recommend to eat out. There is no mini bar or fridge and no possibilities to buy cold drinks at the hotel.

Personnel was very friendly. Good location - quiet and full of local atmosphere. But easy to reach by public transportation.

Breakfast was not sufficient

It's price is half that of staying on the Island of Venice. Being located within a short (10 minute max) walking distance from the Lido beach was awesome. It's about a 5-10 bus then transfer to vaparetto (water bus) ride over to the island of Venice, which is easy to do and helps justify saving all the money you would be spending to stay on Venice. I've been to Venice 3 times and this was the cheapest and nicest place I've stayed. I would stay here again.

This is an excellent hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are a good size, the bed was very comfortable, the pillows are very good quality, the linen is high quality and freshly pressed. The bathroom was very good too - modern and clean. And the whole hotel is extremely clean. The balcony in the room is lovely on hot days. Good aircon & heating too. It is 5 minutes by the very frequent bus service to the vaporetto. And a 3 minute walk to both public and private beaches. I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends.
