Raul was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a great way to start our mornings before our trek through Rome. The room was comfortable and clean. I slept like a baby after a day of sightseeing, pasta, cappuccino, and gelato. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. Great location, clean bathroom, and friendly comfort.

Sotto Il Sole de Roma is ideally located for city sightseeing, 10 minute walk to St. Peter's Square, 10 minutes to the nearest Metro Stations (Lepanto or Octivia) for easy access to other places of interest. Safe area. Helpful staff.

It's the best place for the holiday in Rome. Room is simple, but modern and there is all needful things for the comfortable staying. The B&B is located in very good district, calm, but very attractive for staying and close to Vatican and center. And staff is very friendly!

Couldn't find a nicer place with nicer people

Simply fantastic rooms, in a great location, near the Vatican. Great price for what you get. The hotel manager, I think was called Mario, and was a lovely guy, but only spoke a couple of works of English, but this was not a problem as he got Raul on the phone if there was anything complex required. Raul sorted out a driver to take us to the airport on the last day as we had a ridiculously early flight and we paid up the day before as we were checking out at 5.45am. 50 Euro for the trip to the airport, and a good comfortable ride with a nice driver in a very nice Mercedes.

The service was very personal. The manager greater me on arrival and was on call any time during my trip.

We were a small group of 4 ie (2 couples). We were greeted by warm and friendly owners/staff, Raul, Carmella, Mario and Abu. They were very attentive and hence made us feel welcome. Each day we returned from a very busy, crowed, hot and humid (30+ degrees) city of Rome. To a nice cool airconditioned room, with tv, shower, fridge, fresh towels, outstanding mattress and most important of all a clean/tidy room which made our stay inviting and comfortable. Lastly, the information we received by Raul, family and staff was invaluable. With their assistance and local knowledge, we managed to find out the best way to get around and affordable places to enjoy fine italian cuisine.

The location was excellent, right near the Vatican by the Castel Sant'Angelo, and within walking distance to most major areas I wanted to see. The price was excellent given the location. Staff was great and very helpful to guest, and spoke English well. Overall, a great place.

No really a complaint, but an observation. This is a b&b, so there will not be an onsite staff, room service, etc., as a traditional hotel. You will get breakfast but is an otherwise quiet building used by other tenants. The owner is available via email, however.

Die Lage des Sotto Il Sole Di Roma ist wunderbar. Es liegt recht zentral zwischen Engelsburg und Petersdom in einem freundlichen Viertel. Fußläufig sind nahezu alle Sehenswürdigkeiten zu erreichen, wenn man über etwas Kondition verfügt. Die Ausstattung des B&B ist schlicht (Zimmer) bis gehoben (Bad)und geschmackvoll. Das Frühstück wird typisch italienisch (Toast, Croissants, Kuchen, Käse, Aufschnitt, Marmelade) in einem kleinen, familiären Frühstücksraum eingenommen. Der Kaffee/Cappuccino/Espresso sowie der Toast werden von einem Angestellten frisch zubereitet. Der Besitzer Raul ist ebenfalls häufig zugegen und ausgesprochen hilfsbereit, zuvorkommend und freundlich. Die Linie 40 (Haltestelle an der Engelsburg) verbindet das B&B mit der Innenstadt und der Stazione Termini. Zudem gibt es 5 Minuten entfernt an der Via Crescenzio eine Haltestelle für einen direkten Non-Stop Busshuttle zum Flughafen Fiumicino (Aeroporto Leonardo da Vinci). Eine einfache Fahrt kostet 6 € pro Person. Die Abfahrtzeiten und Ankunftszeiten am Flughafen hängen im B&B aus.

Leider haben wir den Straßenlärm als sehr laut und störend empfunden. Der Eingang des B&B liegt zwar in der etwas ruhigeren Seitenstraße Via Pietro Della Vallle, alle 5-6 Zimmer liegen jedoch zur Hauptverkehrsstraße Via Crescenzio. Diese Straße ist sehr stark befahren (auch nachts) und hat uns leider etwas um den Schlaf gebracht.

Bardzo dobra lokalizacja, bardzo blisko do Watykanu, w pobliżu sklepy i restauracje. Czyste pokoje, wygodne łóżko, smaczne śniadania. Codziennie przy śniadaniu do kawy gratis otrzymuje się uśmiech Raula - pozytywnie nastrajający na cały dzień :) Polecam
