Located right on the seafront, the prestigious Grand Hotel Vesuvio overlooks the Gulf of Naples, the island of Capri and Mount Vesuvius. These views can be admired from its rooftop restaurant.

Wonderful grand spacious room in a period building, tastefully decorated. Fantastically helpful and attentive staff made everything very smooth and easy. Convenient location, excellent value for money. Would definitely stay here again.
Not very comfortable hard bed and pillows.
Location Space Very helpful Staff Value for money
last 400 metres uphill! Wi-Fi slow Air con not great
If you would like to enjoy Naples down town atmosphere, I'd recommend this hotel. Located in the very typical Naples downtown street, once you go inside, the rooms have a quite relax ambience. A staff is very good at Japanese. Kind, have a good hospitality.
Good location. Not far from a metro station and almost in the heart of the historic centre of the city. Helpful staff. WiFi & TV in the room.
Quiet poor breakfast. The room seemed a bit pricey.
Location was great. Room and hotel ambiance were lovely. Breakfast was generous. What makes this a very special place is the staff. They are exceptionally kind, thoughtful, and helpful. We arrived mid afternoon after a long plane flight and we were served tea and pastries. We were advised about wonderful places to eat and got directions to where we wanted to go. We had a very complicated connection to make--arranging for a ferry to Ischia on a Sunday. The hotel owner worked with us for a very long time searching the computer and making calls on our behalf until he could figure out what we had to do. I appreciated the 24 hour availability of a computer to be used by guests as needed.
There were no negatives.
In the old part of the city, was realy frustrating aRriving by car. Good location, specially to go walking everywhere.
Breakfast is a bit poor.
Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Well located for exploring both the old and new parts of town.
A bit difficult to get to if arriving by car and very limited parking but the staff sorted that
The staff were incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We'll worth the walk up the hill with lovely rooms.
neighborhood was very italian staff was great room was great too, lot of space and two balconies. easy access to shops and restaurants they have a fixed deal with a taxi company who take you to the airport for 19 euros.
the place is located on a steep hill so if you have bad knees, do not stay here
Good location, good breakfast, excellent staff.
Very friendly and helpful staff. We were both delighted with the place.
Location was perfect, breakfast was great, staffs were very nice! Loved it!
Very nice located in case you want to feel the ambience and spirit of Napoli. Welcoming and helpful staff, very sufficient breakfast, secure and quiet at night, all necessary appliances, free safe in the cabinet. Absolutely worth for it's price.
Shower cabin need some fixing/cleaning.
Location for the old town, and the help and advise given by staff.
Don't be fooled by exterior appearance.
classical suite, very helpful staff, felt like at home, great value, only a few steps to via toledo and the centro storico
nothing to complain about
The staff were incredible. Room was really nice and modern. Great location in a very Intersting area.
Water pressure in the shower. Although I hear it's the same all over Naples.
Very helpful staff and comfortable room. Also close to the metro, resturants and markets.
Streets were dirty.
Amazingly friendly staff (really, not just professional courtesy, but they gave a vibe of personal connection, and genuine love for sharing their city) Beautiful interiors Huge space for the money Wonderful breakfasts
location,breakfast & staff
entrance a bit dodgy-but OK once bell & lift located.A tea making facility would be good-although free morning drinks were provided on request.
Mariana and Umberto were fantastic hosts. Mariana went out of her way to recommend good places to visit and eat at for our short stay. She was very helpful with advice for travelling to and from the Amalfi Coast. I can highly recommend Spaccanapoli. It was lovely to experience some of the real Naples rather than just the touristy bits.
The owner and staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The restaurant recommendations were spot on. Our room (classic suite) was huge with a nice big bathroom. Breakfast was plenty to get you started for the day and the cappuccino was delicious. We are 58 and 69 years old, and the only time we had to take public transportation was to the Capodimonte Museum...everything else was in walking distance. Some people say it's in a rather dicey area but we never felt unsafe at any time of the day.
Can't think of a thing.
Upon arriving, my daughter and I were a bit unsettled upon arriving to what appeared to be a dingy and unwelcoming courtyard. However, we were thrilled by the hospitality of the staff and the condition of the hotel itself. Our room was lovely, spacious and with a terrace that overlooked the homes and shops in the old part of Naples. We left the door to the terrace open and enjoyed hearing the evening sounds of families and dinner and street life. The proximity to great options for eating and shopping and a stroll near the water was a real plus (and the subway station just a very short stroll). The hotel was clean and very well-kept, with a fine breakfast. We would definitely visit again! I would encourage the owners to provide a writeup of the interesting history of the building and the immediate area. We got some of this from our discussions with them, and it made our stay in this lovely old (expansive) home even more charming!
The entry appeared slightly forbidding, but realize that this is just the context for this lovely old building with the open stairway and courtyard!
location and nice staff
Breakfast could be improved
Marianna was amazingly helpful starting even before the arrival date. I am really impressed about how she worked on my preliminarily raised questions about useful tips for my journey. Also the owner (ı guess) of the house, Umberto, was very careful and friendly. All in all, this hotel may have couple of minor inconveniences - especially for elder people - but, you just feel home there, and that's great value for money. Grazie per tutti e spero di rivederci piu tardi :)
No need to mention few minor issues.
Great thanks to the staff for their hospitality and for help with any request.
