Clean Wifi work Very Helpful staff
Alway need to take the bus
Customer Service A++, recommendations and advice from staff, directions to attractions and how to get around, room balcony, nice beds, good sleep, good a/c and wifi. Excellent email communication prior to arrival. Breakfast was nice with fruit yogurt, meats and cheese and croissants! To die for cappuccino and great american style coffee.
The first impression should not influence one's experience. The staff could not be more helpful, espwcially Christian, who went out of his way to give advice. Breakfast was basic. Location a little off the beaten track but right opposite the bus stop to main centre and really good value for money accommodation. Immacculately clean...
From the moment that we walked into Star of Rome we could tell that this hotel was a cut above the rest. Everything about our stay here was exceptional. The guys at reception are absolute gentlemen and are the most helpful of any hotel staff we've encountered. The offer of coffee on arrival was a nice touch and was delicious! The information offered on the city was great and a huge help in terms of transport, where to eat (and where not to!!), and best way to see the city. The room was superb and immaculately clean. Sound proofing windows also help with a quiet nights sleep, plus the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast served is great and they make great coffee. An absolute must stay if you're heading to Rome and easily the best value for money hotel that you will find.
Excellent staff, when a problem occurred the staff couldn't do enough to put it right, clean and attractive rooms with a good location,
The concierge was fantastic!! We received recomendations as where to dine with the locals. All recomendations were fantastic. We even called while out and they directed us to a small local mom 'n pop shop. Service had the personal touch!
Location was good. Friendly and very helpful staff. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Excellent service

Very nice place, clean and comfortable, location is very good. We will definitely visit again.
My wife and I just got through with a 4 night stay at the Star of Rome hotel. It was our first leg in Italy on a 10 day trip. Let me start with telling you to get the hotel to pick you up from the airport. Its 50 Euros, which is 2 euros more than taking a taxi. Nothing was more refreshing and relieving than seeing Massimo hold a sign with your name on it after a long flight and fighting through swarms of people for luggage. We used a Italian uncredited ATM machine at the airport to get our cash out for the trip, if you give your bank a couple of days advance notice they can do it for you with out the extra fees. Michele and Cristiano were phenomenal. Michele met us at the door, helped us with our luggage and walked us through everything from how to take the lift, ride the bus, where and when breakfast is, and even gave us an umbrella because it was slightly raining. He even walked us down the street showed us where to buy bus tickets, good places to eat near by, and where the bus stops were. It didn't stop there either, later Cristiano booked Vatican tickets, galleria borghese tickets and even reserved seats for us at a restaurant all for no extra charge. The hotel was awesome more like a 4 star hotel, ac worked great, comfy beds, private bathroom(although the draining water makes some noise), and no noise from the street, other than the occasional ambulance. Breakfast in the morning does include boiled eggs, some lunch meat and bread which I just made into a little sandwich, as well as some tasty danishes. All in all our stay was fantastic and the service was great. One quick thing we were not prepared for was the cost of water. You can buy it from the supermarket across the street for .27 Euro as well as some fruit, there is a fridge in the room, bring a thermos container because you will hardly find ice anywhere. The supermarket usually closes at about 8:00pm. They will sell the same bottle at any attraction for 2 Euros.
Noisy drain noise, two twin beds put together (they will spread apart by morning)
Everything was fantastic
Warm and friendly staff. Great location. Excellent value for money. Very clean and tidy. Modern facilities and good breakfasts.
Staff were really helpful and accommodating. Rooms were nicely decorated and very clean. Very reasonably priced
Slightly further away from the city but price reflects this. City easily accessible by bus just a cross the road.
Cristiano was super friendly and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean and quite spacious. Despite being located in a residential area, the B&B is very close to St. Peter's & the Vatican and a short bus ride to the river and the centre of town. Great breakfast.
Minor issues - the water pump in the bathroom made a lot of noise intermittently, especially when the toilet flushed or the shower was running. It would also pump randomly when no one was using the bathroom. Lots of hooks in the bedroom, but none in the bathroom!
It' a very good place to stay. The staff very helpful. Quiet location near the vatican Bus station very close Good good value
Loved how close this b&b was to main attractions such as Vatican City.
A few bus stops away from cipro metro station which wouldn't bother me so much except if you are out later than midnight the bus service is horrible and you could end up walking (20 mins) or taxi
Overall, we had a great experience at this B&B! The staff was very friendly and helpful! The location was great and within walking distance to the Vatican and only a few steps to the bus stops, which get you to most of the major attractions. Breakfast was also good.
Staff was helpful, and made efforts to help with the planning of our visit. The room looked newly renovated and clean. The breakfast in the morning was very good, lots of variety.
The staff was at times difficult to understand, even though he was trying to be helpful, but that was minor.
The owners went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable - advice, showing us the neighborhood, making reservations for dinner and tours. They are a new establishment and know that service is the differentiator in the business. Room was very modern which was different from our other B&B's in Italy - seemed a little unusual, but pleasant enough.
Having to take a metro & bus from the train station was not convenient when lugging suitcases. Also, needing to take a bus to most major sites could be challenging if going during "rush hour" - spent too much time waiting for buses. However, this is why the price was reasonable so it is a trade off.
We had the family room so plenty of space however I know some of the other rooms are much smaller with a fold away bed and rates were the same for both.
The staff was quite friendly, and ready to provide all the information requested. We had a great time. Thanks Carlos & Diane ( Canada)
Welcomed with coffee and cake a nice touch. Good size room and bathroom.Close to bus stops. Staff very friendly and extremely helpful, recommending place so eat and giving directions . Enjoyed our stay and would go back again.
Would have liked a bit more choice at breakfast. Although there was coffee and tea in the room no milk .
