Staff were outstanding very helpfull and friendly. Good location close to centre. Outstanding value for money Nice garden with pool.

The hotel is next to the lake and 10 mn walking from Malcesine. The staff is very friendly.

But the hotel ist just near to the main road (like many hotels since there is only one road splitting the coast and the mountains). a lot of cars and noise. unpleasant to have a rest. the hotel is really old and decoration ugly and very basic. There is no TV in the room. The buffet is very simple and poor quality. I would only recommand because this is cheap.

A great location but rooms are basic. It is what it is, a lovely traditional Italian town with some of the best views ( and food) I have ever seen.

Like I say it's basic so don't be expecting anything else!

We loved the friendly staff and the proximity to the town of Malcesine. The hotel was very clean. Local olive oil and liquer was for sale in the lobby and when I inquired about the taste, the staff were happy to give me free samples (and I then made my purchases of 4 bottles of olive oil and 2 bottles of liquer!). The grounds and pool were also very clean and we never had an issue with parking.

The hotel is situated on a busy road and the traffic noise was loud. As there are no fans or air conditioning, we had to sleep with the windows open and tolerate the noise. This noise ended probably around 12 or 1 am and then things were quiet until around 6 am.

Had a great stay at Stella Alpina, staff made us feel really welcome. We were going to a wedding and they were so friendly and were asking how the wedding went the next day. Pool was lovely and relaxing, nice comfortable rooms, family friendly.

The staff could not do enough to help us. They warmed our babies food, kept a yoghurt in the fridge for her overnight and were incredibly friendly. This is like a real guest house and they could not do enough to help us

The room was a reasonable size and would have been ok for a couple. However, as we were travelling with a 9 month old baby and had a cot in the room (At our request) this made the room a little cramped

Free onsite parking, swimming pool, location (only around 15/20 minutes walk from Malcesine which has beautiful little restaurants/gelaterias/cable car).

No air conditioning. Hotel is on main thoroughfare road around Lake Garda so rooms at front were very noisy! (We requested to change from room number 10 after first night stay). Pleased to say that after some direct conversation with hotel receptionist staff, our room was changed. Breakfast a little limited.

Front desk staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome with our 2 1/2 year old son. It was no problem to leave pram at the bottom of the stairs out of the way. I complained about our room (noise/heat) after the first night and I was offered a room that suited us much better. The pool was great. Clean, good size, (water depth throughout 1.30m), with some shade. The rooms and furnitings were sufficient and clean.

No air condition, rooms at the front facing a rather noisy road. Rooms on third floor under roof get very hot so you are facing the dilemma to either have some fresh air with open window but increased noise or suffocating with a little less noise and closed windows. I was missing tea facilities on the rooms. Also there were no TVs on the rooms (I didn't mind that). There was no lift and no help with carrying luggage up the three flights of stairs. Location was close enough to town to be easily walkable and the walk alon the lake promenade is very pretty. However to get down to the promenade you have to walk along a narrow strip of raod and with a small child that was quite scary.

Lovely family hotel - very simple rooms and very clean. The whole family made us feel very welcome, the pool/pool area is excellent and very clean. Although it is near the main road it has a very relaxing atmosphere and a short walk into Malcesine centre via the path along the lake. We would certainly recommend this hotel to family and friends. We stayed here two years ago and the family have made a lot of improvements to the decor and outside area. It is excellent value , free bike hire, lovely inside bar area and seating area outside, plenty of fresh towels and the rooms cleaned every day. Nothing is too much trouble; we can't wait to go again!

The location was good. Just a short stroll across the road and you were walking along the lakeside. It was a 15 minute walk into the town. The staff were very friendly and always there to help. We stayed at the front of the building and could view the lake through the trees. Although we did not use the pool, our stay was too short, it did look very inviting.

There was no air conditioning so was very hot at night. The breakfast was very limited and what was on offer wasn't very nice. Very noisy from around 6 in the morning so couldn't sleep much past this. This was a low budget hotel and I myself would rather pay a little more for something better. Basically you get what you pay for here.

Close to downtown Malcesine. Close to seaside.

The only thing that was missing were fans or air condition. It was quite hot and we had to leave to door open at night, which is not my preferred way.

Hotel was clean, staff friendly, well located for malcesine and good continental breakfast. Pool area was decent and a good sun trap!

Unfortunately the hotel is quite noisy. Despite being on the main road this wasn't so much from the traffic as the hotel itself. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything!! This is a good budget hotel but unless you are a heavy sleeper we cannot recommend as we didn't really sleep much during our stay.

Good budget hotel, reasonably modern, good location, helpful staff. Free wi-fi. Room a little small but ok for a budget hotel.

Only 1 electric point in room which was in the bathroom.

Off-road parking and a very pleasant walk [about 1/2 mile] along the shore of Lake Garda into the centre of Malcesine. Whilst not a modern hotel all the necessary facilities were in place, the rooms clean, beds, comfy and buffet breakfast was excellent. The staff were welcoming, very friendly and most helpful.

The staff were extremely friendly & helpful!! Hotel was beautifully clean & perfect location. We have recommended to friends.

The staff is super-friendly!

Some rooms face the main road which can be quite loud at night. The rooms definitely require some renovation.
