My room was on the 6th floor with a spectacular view of Parma. The staff were amazing and very helpful. My room, for the special price I received, was stunning. Breakfast was delicious with soya yoghurts and soya milk. Not many places are so aware. Excellent
City was a stopover but was a very pleasant surprise. Hotel excellent value for money.
The hotel double charged our companions and they have yet to respond to the request to correct the overbilling.
We stayed for two nights on route to Lucca in Tuscany and found the Stendhal to be a very comfortable hotel in a great location to explore the pedestrianised centre of Parma.
I have booked a Deluxe Double Room but they have guided me to a Standard Room (No. 168), which is unacceptable. Only due to my complaint they have changed it to the correct category.
Breakfast was a cut above the normal Italian breakfast (eggs, sausage, prosecco for your OJ), and service was great. The location is perfect for exploring Parma and parking is conveniently located nearby (for a fee... although I can't remember how much)
The pillows were a disappointment and there wasn't quite as much room as I had hoped there would be, but this is pretty standard for a European hotel
Location, close to train station and town center. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Very classy looking hotel.
Our room had a very musty smell to it, as if the window had been closed for months (our children's room didn't have this). We also had to question our bill, it was more than what we had booked, and even after some discussion and stating what the price on booking.com was, they reduced it, but it was still slightly more than what I had booked. It was more about the principle of the matter than the money. The young woman at the desk was not very friendly about it.
Only stayed overnight as a break away from Bologna. It is right in the centre, close to excellent restaurants. The reception staff were very helpful with regards to recommendations and even printing out a car hire voucher that we required. The breakfast was first class with everything from sparkling wine to english cooked options. The room was very comfortable with a huge bed and aircon.
great hospitality and care of clients,
hard to say, as it was great for the value
It was an easy walk from the train station and, from the hotel, another easy walk to good restaurants and all of Parma's considerable attractions.
World cup didn't play on TV in room.
Excellent location, great breakfast, big standard room number
Not so good beads
Outstanding staff, at all levels - front desk (Alesso); Bar attendant; Garage/parking manager. Great location, and very quiet. A classy property, with real Italian style.
The location of the hotel was very good. 5 min walk to train station and 5 min walk to main square. It seemed to be a hotel more oriented to business guests. The room was fine but nothing extraordinary. Professional staff.
The bed wasn't very comfortable and the room was dark - very small window, no balcony.
This was a great place to stay in Parma, rIght in the centre of town and quite near the station. The room was very comfortable.
Great, large bedroom facing the palazzo, super location, excellent breakfast served in a pretty dining room.
The shower didn't work so well.
Completely helpful staff; very quiet building close to the old town and walking distance to railway station.
The Hotel is beautifully. Romantic furniture and all in good quality. The bath is quite new.
The TV is old and small and the wifi connection is poor.
General ambiance was very good.
fabulous breakfast melon, ripe and perfumed...
the population changes in Parma since my previous visit, a bit threatening, we felt.
It is a beautiful hotel and very well located close to everything. It isn't cheap but everything is top quality and the staff are very helpful.
Everything was lovely!
The breakfast was extensive. The underground car park with attendant was very convenient. The bathroom was roomy and there was quite a nice view of the roof tops from our window. The hotel was very quiet.
Staff very helpful, asked for a room with a view and got precisely that (room 654)
Large, spacious room and bathroom, very clean and very nice decor. Within easy walking distance of the train station, historical center, and many restaurants. They have their own small bar off the lobby, making it easy to have a nightcap. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast offerings were great, including real scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage besides a huge array of typical European items.
Not enough stands for luggage in the room although the one they did have held my standard suitcase better than most of those flimsy folding types.
