The staff were extremely helpful and very welcoming. Excellent location and rooms were clean. Gave us a great recommendation for pizza restaurant nearby which has great food. Lovely spot in Florence, central to everything.
Great location (with hardly any traffic noise), helpful staff, clean rooms (but thin walls), breakfast quite ok, and luckily a pc available for customers (as my tablet computer didn't work)
Nothing. Everything is perfect!
Staffs are very helpful and friendly!
Rooms are too close to one another .
The location. The staff was kind and very helpful.
Bed was fairly hard.
Great location Friendly staff Good food recommendations Breakfast included
Reception is on the 2nd floor and all the rooms are above that. There is one small elevator or narrow steep stairs. Room was on the main street side so heard early morning activity outside. Still great for the price.
In the heart of Florence, walking distance to everything. Breakfast was your standard Italian meal. American style coffee. Room was nice nothing fancy but the WiFi worked and the bed was soft.
Bed was so hard and uncomfortable both of us had sore hips each morning. Entrance way smelled of sewage each day (we were there 3 nights). You have to drag your own cases up a long flight of stairs before you reach the elevator and the reception is not at ground level so they don't spot you arriving. Room was badly in need of decorating, closet didn't open properly to enable you to open the tiny drawers. It is badly laid out. The breakfast is minimal even by continental standards and because the place was old and scruffy we didn't want to gamble with the freshness of the food so ate in one of the many cafés instead.
Location was good. Bathroom is modern unlike the bedroom which feels like it was last remodeled in the 50's. Kettle in room so you could make tea or coffee.
Breakfast options were limited.
Clean, neat and staff are very friendly.
It was in no way a 4 star hotel, most likely equivalent to a 2 star hotel. The variety and quality of breakfast was much much below standard.
Location, Room size.
Even recognizing a price premium for the location, rooms were expensive enough that I would have expected nicer everything. It was surprising how shabby some aspects were, such as pillows and bedding, and the overall appearance of the place.
Location is excellent -- in the heart of things but still on a quiet street with easy access for taxi drop-off/pick-up. And staff were all, uniformly, very helpful and warm.
in the middle of everything. best for shopping and also very close to piazzas;Piazza Republica,Piazza Segnora and Piaza Duomo. Uffize Gallery and Academy where David's sculpture is exhibited.
No iron and iron boared in room. When travelling there is a need to tidy clothes especially if on a tour taking up hours of travel. There are irons in hotels in europe that switch off automatically after ten minutes, to prevent the risk of fire. No hostess tray, in most hotels now you can find a kettle, cups, and at least enuf tea and coffee sachets for an on arrival drink. NO ENGLISH SPEAKING TV except repetitive news and sports. There was no french tv either but it was included on the information regarding tv channels. We found the right number, only to find it was transmitting Italian tv. There are a number of American, Canadian, English visitors together withJapanese, German, Scandinavian English speaking visitors, in their rooms after wonderful sightseeing days, it would be so nice to relax watching tv in a language they can understand. This day and age it is not difficult to get satalite connections. We would be happy to have a slightly higher charge to our booking, just to have the hotel perfect. Or why doesnt the hotel have rooms for people like us --staying a week or more, with these extras in? We want to come again but for 3 weeks, but we are thinking about driving our campervan to Firenze as it has a satalite dish on it for our relaxing hours.
The decor, the very happy helpful staff, the cleanliness everywhere, the location, the breakfasts, in fact everything except reported in the 'what didnt you like'
Variety of breakfast can be enhanced
