Flowers at the entrance and patio to the rooms could be better kept…a part from that everything is just perfect!
Set in wonderful location, very quirky lots of quiet areas, staff very friendly.
Amazing hotel with lovely rooms and a nice location. The food is delicious. Very romantic place perfect to relax.
The wi-fi is bad.
We have travelled the world extensively, this hotel was incredible, every corner was full of local art with colourful and interesting things to look at. The hotel has so many places where you can find peace and quiet, from the Terraces of dreams or desires to the hammocks at the Gazebo. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Local sacred spring, nearby valley and 30 minute drive to coast made excursions easy. Cant wait to return!
We had to leave! Seriously only criticism .... too much food. There was now were lunch time to have a light meal or snack (not something Italians do). Would love a cafe style snack or salad not just panini from the bar.
We absolutely loved our stay at Su Gologone. Our only regret is that we didn't plan to stay here longer! It is a one of a kind hotel. There is so much to explore. Every room is unique and there are so many amazing spots to relax and ponder, or read, or sketch, or swim or eat or just chill out. Amazing food and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Rita on reception went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our stay and made us feel at home. We highly recommend this hotel and we are already planning our return visit for my husbands 40th! Fingers crossed. Thanks for the memories Su Gologone x
A little difficult to find but once there everything was great
The location surrounded by green, trees and overlooking the mountains. Excellent food in the different restaurants. You can also taste local dishes in the various terraces nicely decorated and with a wonderful view. Excellent customer service with the owner of the hotel even greeting guests for lunch and dinner.
Difficult to find a room during the high season as it is full :)
Great room, worth the price. Nice deco everywhere. Food good. Breakfast good.
The restaurant feel a bit crowd. We join the dinner in The King's Court for one night, but it's very very windy that night, since the food is mostly cold cut, honestly people can't enjoy the dinner, maybe there should be a plan B in case of the bad weather like this.
Good location for walking nearby. Very good restaurant in nice setting.
Pool needed to be cleaned more often
Loved the food, rooms, people and atmosphere
Prices for minibar and restaurants are high
Loved the colours used. Our room and its terrace were great. The 'starter' buffet was tremendous - particularly good for our hungry male veggie.
Sixty seven kazillion steps up to our room. But then, we didn't specify that we'd have liked something a little more accessible!
All of it
Beautiful hotel and gardens Very Relaxing Very helpful staff
We loved the Happy Hour on one of the terraces. It was a lovely evening with drinks and canapes. There were lots of charming places spread about where you could lounge with a book or simply admire the scenery. Interesting decor too and lovely antiques and displays. Very idiosyncratic.
You have to be very careful which room you have as a lot of them have no private area. There were too many flies around at breakfast.
Uniqueness of the hotel. Artwork & Decoration Luxurious bedrooms with beautiful artwork and all individually designed. Gardens and seating areas. Special atmosphere of the Bar del Tablao in the evenings for cocktails. Relaxing and Romantic.
Stairs to access upper level rooms. No lift.
Very dated. It is as if the management have given up on the hotel. There is potential but it requires refurbishment and new management.
Super friendly and helpful staff, always friendly. Room was excellent and the whole stay very relaxing. So many places to sit in comfort that we didn't manage to explore them all. Loved it, thank you
Setting Décor Bedroom Views Breakfasts Evening Meals Helpful & Friendly Staff
Meat (dinner) wasn't always what you would expect. Large chunks rather than small slices Evening meal time rather late starting at 8.00pm
Unique design and style, attention to detail.
Internet access policy. Guests have to request access every two hours. Exceptionally inconvenient and not on par with 4 star quality.
One of the most unique places we have ever stayed at! The surroundings and where it is situated is quite amazing! The food and the way they cook the meat on huge skewers in front of the fire place is something special! Very hard to describe the surrounding areas around this hotel without seeing it, but we lived it!
Our room was probably the furthest away from reception and dining area so we had a long walk to and from all the time! The wifi was disappointing as you had to be in the reception area to use it on your facilities - and we were such a distance away it was a bit if a nuisance.
We loved the food especially the pig on the spit
When it rains there is literally nothing to do! We were really unlucky in that it rained most of the time we stayed so we couldn't go on a walk, use the pool or make use of any of the beautiful lounge areas (which are all uncovered). We suggested to the staff that we do a wine tasting in their wine cave but they only opened this once a week. Really unfortunate!
The bath and shower were substandard
Fantastic food and general ambience. Lovely design and art work. Restaurant prices very reasonable for the quality in my view. Have a drink at the cocktail bar up the hill for a truly memorable experience. We stayed 3 nights and loved it. I have read a number of poor/average reviews of this place and I just don't understand why you would not be enchanted by it. We recommend and would stay again.
We had very heavy bags and getting them up to reception was not that easy...if you can't manage them yourself, you will need to ask reception for assistance and I am sure they will help.
Such a quirky and unusual place - lots of books and crannies to get lost in such that despite the size of the hotel it feels wonderfully personal and intimate. There are also lots of things to keep you occupied - tennis, pool, ping pong, mini golf, excursions etc. Delicious food also.
Everything needs a slight 'facelift'/renovation however I still loved it.
Very beautiful, staff is extremely nice. Pool and environment is perfect
Tennis needs to be redone
