Perhaps it was because we were staying there off season but everything was a bit...dishevelled. The grass by the pool was unkempt, the pool unclean (and freezing!) and generally things looked like they hadn't been tidied in a while. The bar areas were also a bit unloved. For 18 euros a cocktail they should be pristine. Plus the vines by our balcony were overgrown and there seemed to be some critter living in them that entered our room at night. I know it's a very rural hotel in the mountains but, for the price, that shouldn't really happen. I'd like to add though that, despite these concerns, we loved our time at the hotel and found it really charming.
Su gologone is a stunning hotel with many nooks and crannies to explore. The views are incredible and the staff are just wonderful. It is truly magical and the food is absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed our stay but there are a few things that need improving.
