location, location, location (and the bathtub)
staff seemed very fussy and into 'the rules', wifi was lousy
nice hotel,nice stuff,good location
the room is a little small
Location steps away from the Spanish Steps, about half a block away on a quiet street. Rooms are simple, quaint, and clean. Bathrooms are nicely up-to-date, and mattresses are firm and comfortable.
3rd floor walkup can be difficult if you have a lot of luggage or want the convenience of an elevator.
Very nicely and tastefully decorated. Helpful and friendly staff. Great location near the spanish steps.
It was winter but the heating didn't seem to work. Breakfast was the same everyday.
The atmosphere of the hotel was unique, it was as if I was back at the 19th century! The staff was extremely polite and helped us with everything we needed. The location could not be better. The cappuccino at the breakfast was the best we have ever tasted. The rooms were very quiet and spacious. We will surely stay at the Hotel Suisse every time we come back at Rome.
everything was perfect
Breakfast are very poor. I traveled whith my parents and expected a separated room giving the photos but we were all in the same room ... Gregoriana street was pretty noisy (bar just down). You have to ring to enter the hotel. If you want to go back at 3pm, you have to call the person, for him to let you enter, complicated if you don't have a cellphone working in Italie..
They were very accommodating with our big dog and I loved the room served Breakfast.
The WiFi was kinda weak and on the day we checked out it wasn't working but all in all, the hotel was very nice.
charming hotel, great location, will return
I would prefer more rich breakfast
I've been to Rome a number of times, and this was far and away the best place I've stayed, both for location, price, and the excellent service and room. The staff couldn't be more helpful. I look forward to coming back
That I only had ten days.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. The calm and quiet atmosphere in hotel. Very great location, close to Spanish Steps.
The quality the availability and the kindness of the staff (a lot of good and interesting informations). The location of the hotel in the city center.
We would appreciate a better breakfast in relation with the total price of the accomodation (ham and cheese for exemple). Ask for rooms with no contacts with the street. A bar is at the bottom and during week-end, noise is going very late or early...as per your point of view.
I'm so glad we stayed at this hotel. My sister didn't realize that the driver from the airport had given her the wrong luggage until after we checked in. Nelson at the front desk called around and located the bag at another hotel. Thanks Nelson for saving our vacation! This hotel was also very clean and comfortable, and in a great location.
Excellent standard of cleanliness Excellent location Efficient and courteous service where staff are always ready to help Excellent WIFI
The room was really spacey and the furnitures were to the style, not hi-tech but good old-fashioned. In room breakfast lovely, staff extremely kind and helpful. I would definitely go back.
A bit tricky to find the street where the hotel is.
Wonderful small hotel in a great location. Felt more like a B&B than a hotel. On third floor of a beautiful old building tucked away in a narrow street 100 metres from the top of the Spanish Steps.
Some noise in corridor with other guests arriving and departing.
Good location, very good staff and breakfast is delivered to your room.
The shower was crazy small, we are not oversized people and we couldn't fit in it properly The poor breakfast they offer is served in your room which was not cozy at all. We couldn't make them understand that they should write this in Bookings page. That the way it is written is wrong. My text recomendation "the breakfast is included In the room rate and it is served in the room". The room was extremely simple and outdated. Also the level of privacy was minimal, you could hear everything. Thie entire hotel should be updated with a new plan layout since there is a lot of wasted spaces now. It is a pity because the building and area us very good
The hotel is a short block away from the top of the Spanish Steps with some very nice architecture and doorways lining the street from the hotel to the Steps. Indeed the famous "monster" house is some 50 meters up the street. The hotel itself is very clean and has a nice staff. The rooms are more like bedrooms in a nice house and one of our rooms (we booked 2) was really spacious and elegantly decorated. The common area included a nice parlor room. Some very nice decorative touches as well. It was reasonable as well.
The hotel is on the third floor of a building which would not have been bad had not the elevator failed (fixed on our final day). Some street noise at night.
nice room. very friendly staff. breakfast in the room is interesting
Great location, lovely staff, little sitting room, sweet breakfast service
Rooms are small, the bed is too hard for me, the shower size drove me crazy
excellent place, very clean, kind staff
breakfast could be more generous
I loved the location, the interiors and how teh staff were so helpful and attentive.
A great find in Rome. I was traveling with my older daughter.
