Breakfast in bed Free mini bar Location - close to everything ! Jacuzzi bath Big comfy bed Friendly staff
Could be really noisy in summer if you want the windows open Not a lot of English speaking TV channels - just one movie channel would've been good or a DVD player in the room ?
We loved the quirkiness of the room with the bath right next to the bed, The breakfast was great (and on time) served straight to the room. The location was only a short walk (2 minutes to the Spanish steps) and we walked to Ancient Rome very easily. The bathrooms were clean and spacious - all round a great stay and would recommend. Just be wary trying to find the hotel as it is quite literally a door in a street of many doors.
Just 2 things about the hotel. We were a little bit surprised at first as there seemed to be some sort of unknown 'fluid' at the base of the cupboard near the bed. We asked for it to be identified and cleaned (as we left straight away to explore). When we returned it hadn't been removed and had in fact grown. Turns out the previous tenant had left the bath running and flooded the whole room and it was cleaned up. The second thing was the noise. As the room was on the street side it had no sound proofing whatsoever and it was "very" loud - also when the upstairs people were running around at 11.00 pm at night in what must have been high heels there was no way we would be sleeping until they stopped. Other than that we had a great stay. Thank You.
verry special accomodation ,personal touch to the customer, very helpfull , other then all the others!!! living a dream in the real world we hope to see you back very soon Orpha&Rudi
no negatif points!!!
I loved the jacuzzi in the room it just gave the suite an amazing feel! All the facilities were excellent, the integrated sound system controlled by the iPad and the lighting system was so atmospheric it was an amazing experience!
I didn't like leaving!
The staff and location were the best part
I can think of nothing bad to say about Suite Sistina! Location, rooms, everything was spot on. Breakfast served in your room, complimentary, well stocked mini-bar. Sheer luxury. Perfect for a romantic getaway!
Fabulous Location, breakfast in the room every morning - extensive choice, at a time you choose, very much a treat, loved it!!
Very comfortable room Great location Perfect Breakfast (with a nice service in the room)
The room was dark and need more fresh air .there was humidity
The location is perfect, the rooms are well a good size and have a real luxury vibe. Staff are also super!!!
Breakfast in the room.
Too expensive (EUR 360 / day) for what it offers! It is pretended to be "modern" to able to charge more. It does not have elevator, you must be prepared for a huge ladder. It does not have even a hall or reception desk (that´s the real reason why they offer breakfast in the room!!). The bed is round and because of that it is divided into 2 pieces which are tied by tapes leaving a hole in the middle. The bathroom metals are extremely awkward and not user friendly. Finally soap, shampoo, hair conditioner are left on open small pots that are completely awkward and create a mess. My wife and me love boutique and modern hotels but Sistina is definitely a place we will never return. There are much better options in Rome for much less price.
Everything about this hotel is amazing. The location, service, room and breakfast. Probably the best room (moon in the wall) we have stayed in and makes for the perfect romantic getaway
The rooms were great. Breakfast was lovely. Staff were very helpful and catered for every need. Great location. Great Value for money! Definitely stay at this hotel if you are a couple, I recommend it!
Genuinely cant fault it!
Room size and cleaness
Best possible location for Rome romantic weekend. Be sure not to take street front room as it's extremely noisy. We changed to back room and problem solved. Many stairs to room.
Modern design. Nice visually not comfortable
Breakfast Intimate Amazing location
Limited storage of clothes No elevator
I was expecting a little more for the price
This was our last hotel of our two week honeymoon in Italy, we were looking forward to a little luxury after exploring tuscany and we were not disappointed. From the moment we walked in the very subtle door we were greeted by the lovely staff and our bags taken to our room. Communication with the hotel was great, they had asked us what style of music we would like in our room, the temperature we wanted it and offered a range of things they could organise for us (including a rather intimate a la carte menu provided by a local erotic shop!). Our room, Panna e Fragole, came complete with a gigantic circular bed, huge bath tub and shower and lots of extra touches that made our stay wonderful. The mini bar was complimentary each day and very well stocked. Breakfast is served in your room and a wide variety of choices are offered. It's located right in the centre and is perfect for hitting the streets and getting lost in Rome! The staff were great at recommending places to go and for our last night sent us to Hi-Res, a top end restaurant that was the perfect end to our honeymoon. I would recommend Suite Sistina to anyone looking for a romantic stay in Rome, it is perfect for couples! They can organise a ride to the airport for 50 euros. For great food avoid the Piazzas or head to Pratti! For the best Gelato find 'Venchi' - trust me, we did the research ;). A little side note: On our travels we had met another couple that had stayed in the same room as us on a previous trip and warned us that our room is next to the kitchen and that it was noisy. We were concerned as my wife is a light sleeper, we told the hotel our concerns and they told us they had now installed duel doors. Although this was the case we could still hear a little noise from the staff area just next door. But don't let the few reviews that mention this put you off, although we heard some noise it did not stop us from sleeping at all!
The only downside was the small amount of noise you could hear in the mornings from the staff area and the rooms around us. (but I think this is to be expected in a busy city hotel)
Fabulous location and beautifully appointed room finished to a very high spec. Lovely breakfast served in your room. If you want a hotel with bars, restaurants, etc then stay somewhere else. If not, would highly recommend.
everything was perfect!!
Can't fault it ...
The Atmosphere was so romantic, ana the complementary was so great. Having the breakfast in the room was wonderful
After 10:00 pm there is no service
faucet was very absurd, very difficult to handle because it is not an ordinary key, is a strange kind of button that you have to turn with the strength of your finger.
Very friendly staff. Excellent location. Clean and beautiful rooms and nice breakfast
Everything was perfect.
Very helpful and polite staff. Excellent furnishings and room finishing. Lots of nice, high quality touches in the room e.g. espresso machine, free minibar, Lush products. Decent quality breakfast ingredients. Perfect location!! Room cleaned immaculately and restored every day. The Royal Suite is just wonderful!! Real wow factor and very private. Highly recommend the hotel for a romantic trip to Rome!
The royal suite had it's own kitchen for staff to cook for you only and therefore had a few different staff coming each day - this meant that it was slightly inconsistent breakfast provision, eggs and bacon were cold and undercooked on one of the days. Would benefit from some consistent training across all the staff that service the Royal suite. Breakfast was 2 hours late one morning due to staff travel issues, this is where the royal suite, being in a seperate building/street, couldn't benefit from the main kitchen at the main hotel as we were waiting for someone to attend our kitchen. I'm certain though that this is the exception rather than the rule and must be very rare occurence. This is by no means a reason not to visit the hotel. It's wonderful!
