Position. position, position. everything.
suggest kettle/ coffee maker in reception or room.
Very very nice b&b. Carmen has been very nice and available for us, not hesitating to make restaurants' suggestions and reservations. Would highly recommend this b&b (the prices are totally fair)
Way too much perfume in the main corridor!
Everythig its was perfect!!
A beautiful little B&B just so you know its a converted ground floor apartment so there is no reception you have to be met there. The room is very nice, good air con, mini bar very reasonable and the breakfast is excellent. Very comfy luzurious bed. Just a few minutes away from St Peters Square and if you are worried about getting into the old town the number 64 bus is very regular and goes from just outside. If your planning on doing a lot of sightseeing a daily bus pass or the Roma Pass is excellent value. Would definitely stay again.
The wifi isn't very good but we are getting used to that in Italy. You do feel a little like you are being watched at breakfast due to the owners attentiveness.
Right next to St Pauls so location was excellent. Room was clean and service from Karen and Guiseppe was very professional.
The room was very small and quite poor. We were totally shocked by the behaviour of the owners of the hotel. Unfortunately we left a blood stain on the bed and the same day we found a letter in our room by the owner stating that if she finds another stains in the room, we will be additionally charged. We were afraid to use even towels.. Finally we were charged for this additionally 123 Euros! That was withdrawn from credit card without our consent. The hotel did not provide any receipt for stay and for additional fees. We plan to defend our rights with the European Consumer Right Protection Agency.
Family atmosphere, very friendly and helpful. Closeness to St. Peter's.
Hardwood flooring is sticky, needs moping once in a while, vacuuming alone will not do the job.
Hosts were lovely
Couldnt get a hot drink until breakfast at 8.30
Everything great Very nice and clean
I was very impressed by the friendliness, cleanliness, loveliness in design and furnishings; the breakfast room was a delight with wonderful selection of fruits and foods. I especially the special touches, such as the foot massager in the room and the disposable slippers. Can't wait to return to Sweetly Home Rome. Karen and Giuseppe are wonderful owners. They arranged for great transportation to the Airport and were helpful advisors in every way on our visit to Roma. This stay was the end of our 24-day land and cruise vacation and is such a blessed memory that will last forever.
Beautiful and clean room with a very confortable bed. There is a foot massage machine in the room which is really good. Karen and Giuseppe (the owner and manager of the hotel) were very friendly. The hotel is very, very close to the Vatican (Piazza San Pedro).
Arriving at the hotel we were surprised that there was no reception and actually had to call someone to come and open the door of the building for us. The hotel sign is very small and hard to find if you are driving specially. You receive a pack of keys in order to open all the doors to your room: the building front door, the corridor door, and your bedroom door. This is not a big deal, but we should have been informed in advance about the unexistence of a reception. After 12:00 (midday) there is no staff inside the hotel. You need to call them (phone) to ask something about tours or not so important matters.
Located right at the gates of the Vatican, wich is also not far from the city center at foot (15-20mn) and there is a bus on the same street. The place is cozy and pretty, breakfast is real nice! The staff is really warm, smilly and helpful, gives a good ambiance
All good, but you need to know that after 12:00 there are no one from the staff on site and it's more like B&B style. Not a problem at all, just need to know for last day if you have a late flight and need to leave luggage somewhere all day.
We spent 4 nights at the Sweetly Home Roma. It’s so close to the Vatican and everything is in walking distance. Perfect for sightseeing, shopping or just relaxing. There are many cafes and restaurants nearby and they are so friendly. The accommodation was first class – for a B&B it even exceeds some 5 Star hotels that we have stayed in previously. The rooms were decorated to a very high standard and there was everything you ever needed. There was even a ‘foot massager’ in the room to help relieve those aching feet after a day walking around the city – such a nice touch. But what made our stay so special were the hosts ‘Karen and Giuseppe’ they were really nice and always available to help us in planning our visits, they were just brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. I travel all over Europe for business and I rarely leave any feedback after my stays, but this was such a nice place with very nice hosts that I just had to leave a review. If you are reading this – do not hesitate in booking this place – you will not regret it. Karen, Giuseppe’ Thanks for such a welcoming and friendly stay! :)
Karen and Giuseppe were really nice and always available to help us in planning our visits (calling for booking tours, providing us tips for shopping, etc). Small B&B very clean, brand new and with all the modern facilities
