The location is brilliant, right in the heart of the best area in Rome and close to many restaurants and all the major attractions. The hosts were fantastic and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Very helpful with tips and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms themselves were very clean and the beds comfortable.
The room was very welcoming, clean, tidy, rich of character. The staff is very helpful and friendly, offered us drinks, carried our luggage, suggested places to visit based on our interest and time restrictions. The location of this facility is absolutely perfect, in the heart of Trastevere quarter.
The staff went out of their way to make transfers and arrangements for us. We stayed twice in two different rooms and they were very comfortable.
Charming and helpful staff.
We arrived well before check in time and were given room. Offered a bigger room after first night because we were staying for five. Access to PC to print boarding passes.
Small room on first night. Breakfast in room.
Great location with many good restaurants around and easy to access all the famous spots. Comfortable bed and nice hot shower with every day clear towels supply. Great friendly host!
Nice staff, very good location.
Wifi with low power in my room.
Staff was friendly and helpful. The location was very close to the main piazza in Trastevere and there were also good restaurants close by.
1.BREAKFAST- a very good and consistent continental one; done everything in a place which does not have kitchen and has to observe all the sanitary rules. 2.cleanliness of the room 3.quality of the staff- both the 2 owners and the lady who is responsible for 1and 2. 3.excellent location
being exactly what I thought that I shall get for my money I do not have something which I did not like.
The location was perfect. The stuff was very helpful and always willing to satisfy our needs. The breakfast was better than expected - especially for what you expect in most of Rome's hotels. The noise was not a problem - as mentioned in some other comments
Location is close to lot of restaurants and bars but this has the huge disadvantage of being very noisy! Our hosts were very helpful suggesting the easiest way to get to all the tourist attractions using public transport and organising taxis for us. However all the usual tourist attractions are easily reached on foot so unless you are travelling out of Rome there is no need to use trains etc. We travelled to Pompeii by high speed train which was easy to organise and worked out a lot cheaper than any of the many organised tours. Although very small and quite dark, our room had ample hot water and clean towels provided each day. We had been concerned about getting decent food on Christmas Day but there were lots of restaurants open in Trastevere but you do need to check out prices carefully.
Breakfast was hot water, tea bags, one prepacked croissant and one long life pre packed dry toast slices per person! We refused this and asked for fresh fruit & fresh bread. Each morning we then received bananas and apples (from vegetable market outside the hotel) but had to buy fresh croissants & breads ourselves for each morning. Also, must make comment on the noise- some reviewers had hinted at the noise levels at weekends. However the noise each and every night was endless and got so bad that we only got some sleep during our stay if we returned to the hotel around lunchtime and slept till 5pm each day! By the end of our stay we were exhausted from lack of good quality sleep. We were there over Christmas period but not sure if the hotel would be quiet enough for good rest at other times. Like any big city - be aware of tourist traps and inflated prices when choosing where to eat.Trastevere is no exception with some restaurants charging hugely inflated prices for mediocre food. Check menu and bills carefully, and avoid " tourist menus" like the plague. Particularly good restaurant was "Pimms" on Via Dorothea.
Large rooms and great breakfast.
The shower wasn't that good.
The location and the way the place is run. Really friendly and helpful staff.
The breakfast. Expected more.
The staff were excellent. We were a bit cold in our room and they came within 20 minute to turn up the heat and to turn up the water heat as well. The staff was very punctual, breakfasts were delivered on time, and they were flexible with our checkout as we had a later flight. The room was in a brilliant location--we walked everywhere. We highly recommend it.
Location Staff friendliness Breakfast
Cleanliness wasn't up to scratch. Sticky spots on floors Toilet wasn't clean Bedspread had stains on - it was clean, but they should be replaced - stains are probably due to breakfast being served in rooms
Amazing hotel in the heart of Trastevere. We wondered around to look for places to eat near the hotel, and we never had a meal that was anything less than delicious. The owners are so kind and helpful. They let us check in late, and told us how to get everywhere in Rome. The room was small, but very beautiful. The coffe they brought us every morning was delicious, and there was espresso and gelato very close by. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a true Italian experience in Rome. I also recommend you brush up on your Italian to get around this neighborhood, but it is so worth it.
Nothing. We had a wonderful time.
The room was comfterbl and extremely clean. The stuff was very nice and friendly. Very good locution.
Great location, many interesting restaurants and places to visit nearby. Close to tram which connects to airport train link
That a double bed was standard.
A bit hard to find. Not like a hotel with a sign outside.
Friendly, excellent location.
Quite noisy at night.
A fantastic location, comfortable & clean room, with staff that go out of their way to make your stay fabulous!
A little difficult to find at first, although Fredrico was very helpful!
Very central, although parking might be a problem if you have your own transport. The street noise at night (after 12:00) didn't bother us due to well sealed and conditioned rooms. A great place to stay if you want to explore Rome.
