Hotel Teatro PaceVia Del Teatro Pace 33, Navona, 00186 Rome (Show map) Very good, Score from 203 reviews“The location was spectacular - so many eating options and incredibly central to most sites in the Centro Storica area of Rome. It was possible to walk most places from this site. Walk any direction from the front door, and you could see some amzing historic site. Staff were particuarly attentive and helpful - nothing was too much trouble.”

Hotel Teatro Pace is surrounded by the artisans' workshops and typical Roman trattorias found in the winding streets around Piazza Navona. It offers elegant, uniquely decorated rooms with free wired internet. The old theatre which gave the street and the hotel its name, is set directly opposite this characteristic property. Piazza Navona is a 2-minute walk away. Decorated in a late Baroque style, Teatro Pace Hotel is a delight inside and out. Climb up the imposing old stairway, dating back to the 16th-century, to reach your comfortable, beautifully furnished room. All rooms come with air conditioning, a sienna-marble bathroom with shower, and an electric kettle with a selection of teas and coffee. Some rooms boast wooden-beamed ceilings, and many have a balcony with charming views over the Roman rooftops. A buffet breakfast is served each morning in the dining room of L'Opera restaurant, annex to the hotel. Hotel Rooms: 23

The room was very nice and comfortable. A bit small but just right for a single travel needing a place to crash for the evening. I did not eat the breakfast but heard it was great. Usually you pay a fee for breakfast but is included in the room rate here. Location was good. You cannot see piazza navona but its a three minute walk and only five minutes from the Pantheon and Campo de Fiori. If you get dropped off on the Via Vittorio Emmanuelle the alley can be a bit misleading. It is a short alley and opens up to a walkway with the hotel and a couple of restaurants! I would recommend it and will definitely stay there again. The price was a little high for such a small room but given the timeframe and the location it was an expected issue.

The room was a charming set of 3 small areas and lovely for one person. It was very attractively furnished and comfortable. The hotel is in a great postion for exploring Rome and you can walk to everything. The breakfasts are more than adequate and the coffee good. No shampoo or tissues and my hair drier was missing.

We were very impressed by the staff, their friendliness and help they gave us The noise comming from the disco was a nuisance. We were surprised that the planning people allowed it being directly below a hotel which presumably proceeded it

Location was ideal, close to many good restaurants and within walking distance to all the main sites in Rome. The best part of my stay was the excellent service provided by the staff. They spoke very good English, and were very polite and always went the extra mile to help customers. I liked that upon arrival, they showed me to my room and carried my bag for me. It is extremely nice that breakfast is served in the room each morning from 7.30am. However, I was very touched and impressed that they insisted on bringing me my breakfast at 5.30am since I was leaving early! Especially since the breakfast consisted on delicious freshly baked croissants! I felt really spoiled and cared for at this hotel. Highly recommended.

Grab a cab from the airport but beware the taxi drivers try to charge more than the allowed price, which is 30 Euros. Don't agree to pay more than this. Our great taxi driver gave us lots of info on the way to the Hotel. The Hotel is in a fantastic location, just off the Navonna. Square which is within easy walking distance of all the attractions and just off a main bus route. However it is also in a quiet location, up a side street with a couple of small restaurants. We would definitely stay there again. Everyone was very friendly and it was very clean. We were offered a room at the top of the giant stone staircase which dominates the Hotel - up 93 steps, so its not for everyone. For this we got a good size room with a balcony. Breakfast served in the room at a time to suit, not a problem, fairly basic but tasty - chocolate croissant, coffee, juice, rolls and jam, all fresh.

The location was very strategic to see all of the famous sights in Rome on foot. The staff were very helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to help us. The restaurant next door which serves the breakfast was fantastic, with genuine and friendly staff. The steps. Our room was located on the 3rd floor which was a good 10 minute trek up the spiral staircase... Not for the unfit. The only internet connection was via cable not wifi, which was dissapointing for us, as mobile and i-pad users.

Gorgeous winding staircase with spacious rooms and high ceilings. We stayed on the top floor and although it was 93 steps up with no lift, we had a lovely view from our balcony. Staff were incredibly helpful, even when there was a bus/taxi strike, they were able to organise their own car for us to the airport. Beautiful old building and couldn't be in a more central location to everything in Rome. Great restaurants nearby as well as interesting bookshops. My only suggestion would be in regards to breakfast which was in the restaurant next door, they didn't seem particularly eager to top up the supplies when they were running low, which was most days.

I liked the location I stayed there the first time in 2005 and it's sad to see that it has been seriously neglected. The rooms need urgent some care (toilets without lights, water didn't flow, the safe was broken and only italian tv, no wireless internet). Breakfast is served in a restaurant outside and it's really deficient, bad quality products are served. With so many choices in Rome it's worth paying a bit more for more comfort. After walking for hours it was not a nice place to come back for a rest or chill out before going out again. It should be downgraded to 2 starts, it's definitely not a 3 stars.

It is the 4th time on 18 months that I use this hotel.fo 2 nights. Good location and appropriate price. First and second time was good but double bed room.after single room. Third time:no light in the bath room .I required but nothing so I bought one and change it ! fourth time, no heating in the bathroom..I Asked immediately but nothing changed...... No light also near the bed so you must stand up for switching off . unsifficient heating in the bedroom ( bery high cell) so this last trip at Teatro Pace was not confortable.

The hotel was traditionally decorated to a high standard, with lovely dark wood furniture. Our room was spacious with a large comfortable double bed, ensuit and views over a courtyard. The room was cleaned daily and to a high standard. We were on the forth floor which was only accessed by the main spiral staircase. The bathroom was lovely but the shower needed upgraded. The 4 flights of stairs would not be suitable for everyone. Breakfast was served in the bar next door which was standard.

I had a very nice and calm single room. As there are no common spaces a good breakfast was served in a bar next door. Everything was really clean. The hotel is basically a wonderful big snail-staircase with attached rooms on each floor and a small reception on the groundfloor. So the only negative aspects could be (if you need it) that it has no common spaces and no elevator.

The hotel building is beautiful and situated in a charming old cobbled street. The staff were really friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. Liked the fact that there were tea and coffee making facilities. Was really disappointed not to have a bath - just a shower, but on looking at the hotels website again, baths are not mentioned so maybe I took the term 'bathroom' too literally.

Amazing location tucked away in the side streets of Rome! Great restaurants right next door and plenty of them! No elevator, so plan on a few flights of steps (won't kill you). We had great views up on the top (3rd) floor. Bed was pretty hard.

The location was great. Lots of nice restaurants and bars close to the hotel. Very limited traffic outside the hotel. The breakfast was served in an adjacent bar/restaurant. Nice idea and if the weather is good you can sit outside. But, the service was poor. Not enough bread, milk, juice. You had to ask for everything, food, clean plates, cutlery. The waiter did not have time to clean up after guest before next arrived Seemed like the place was understaffed or staff inexperienced. Also the hotel room was inefficiently soundproof. Remember to pack earplugs if you don't want to be waked up by crying babies or snoring men.

This hotel is in a charming area of Rome and so easliy accessible to many tourist attractions not to mention all the lovely eating and shopping venues nearby. The hotel is very small and does have steps but you can ask for a ground floor room and the staff will help with luggage. The building is full of charm, being the historic home of a cardinal centuries ago. Each room is small but fully equipped with airconditioning, desk, storage, safe, small fridge, coffee making and modern bathroom. The staff is friendly and helpful. The generous breakfast is served next door at a restaurant through a voucher obrained at the desk. I was a solo traveller and very satisfied with this hotel experience.

The hotel had a great location, numerous restaurants were in walking distance. Room was decent and clean. The breakfast was mediocre. I went here because I had read about it in an Italian book. I think it was overpriced for what you get. The bed was not comfortable. They need to be prepared for breakfast, most of the food was gone.

Great orientation to Rome on arrival. Laid back friendly staff. Amazing location right of Piazza Navona. Spotless with character, yet renovated with traditional Italian taste. I will stay here next time I return to Rome and recommend it to all my friends. No iron on site. Have to use a laundry facility.

This hotel is located in a 500 year old theatre 2 blocks behind Piazza Navona. The location is awesome! I stayed in a single room. It was tiny!!! But if you are on vacation, you shouldn't spend much time in your room anyway, right?
