We had a really nice stay in this B&B, Staff were helpful, bedroom was very clean and bed very comfortable, we had a view to die for from our balcony.
we went in November and found that a lot of what we wanted to see was closed. Finding the B & B in the dark was very stressful, Sat-Nav is useless and just makes things worse!!! the streets are sooooooo narrow around the hotel that if you have a car that is wider than a Micra then there is a risk of scratching your car.
everything was so cute and nice the best personnel Roman and Ruslana you are great
short term of being there ;)
A very nice cozy hotel, clean elegant room, territory full of green, terrace with a fantastic view!!
The way to the hotel is quite complicated and dangerous(location is on the mountain) but the view is worthy of this
ideal location, beautiful terrace, helpful staff
It is a fantastic hotel! There are very friendly staff. Our room was so lovely... We hope to return to this hotel.
This is an exceptional place (once you have found it!) with rooms and overall ambience way above expectations. It's a class act.
Leaving after only two nights.
Hotel provide a shuttle around Forio. Clean facilities. Beautiful pool and excellent breakfast
Location was a bit far from Forio town centre
We did appreciate the location which was off the beaten track and away from the crowds. Tenuta del Poggio Antico is the perfect place to chill out and watch sunsets that are to die for. Although this B&B does not serve dinner, there are a few good restaurants within easy walking distance and one establishment delivers. Being inland and with an elevated position, to walk very far is out of the question. I do not recommend hiring a car or scooter unless you have nerves of steel, as the roads are narrow, twisty and steep. Therefore it is a bonus that the residence has a car to run you around....within reason. The local taxi drivers are quite aggressive touting for business, but the reality is any car wider than a Golf or Focus would not be able to negotiate the final half mile drive to the hotel. Having a kitchenette in most of the rooms is a bonus, although technically the establishment is not advertised as "self-catering". A decent supermarket is not far away if you require some 'liquid supplies'.
Breakfast is an area where there is room for improvement. There could be a better selection of items and more fresh fruit offered.
Our stay was flawless. What a beautiful property Gorgeous views, a fabulous pool area, well designed suites and a delicious homemade morning meal. What really makes this a special property though, is the staff. Catered to every need. Their free shuttle really came in handy too. Can't say enough about the property and incredible staff. We'll be back for sure. Highly recommend!.
Everything about this b&b is spectacular from the hospital at and his family to the view food and wine on premises
Very remote location difficult to get there do not recommend driving there!
Great staff, wonderfully peaceful, and chilled. 3 great restaurants near by.
The peace and quiet of the hotel. The pool and jaccuzi. Services of Roman and staff. Proximity of good restaraunts. Excellent breakfast and views particularly the sunsets.
A former country estate, family-run and tastefully renovated. Personal shuttle service within a 5-8km radius and very courteous staff. The westward views are priceless at the end of the day.
Room (deluxe suite with sea view)
- not within walking distance to the sea - miscommunication issues (better to check twice what was agreed) - poor breakfast
stunning panoramic views, beautiful and peaceful pool area
nothing - everything was perfect
We enjoyed our time here very much! Everything was superb! Want to come back for a longer stay!! Thank you for making our vacation so special!!
This place was fantastic...not only the beautiful location which was quiet but picturesque, but also the staff. Antonio, his 2 sons, and all the other staff did everything and more to ensure our stay was a happy and memorable one! Thanks so much and can't wait to visit again in the future!
Fabulous views Lovely pool and patio areas
Accommodation was excellent, with views out to the pool and sea beyond. Had it's own outside dining area and sun loungers. Staff went out of their way to help with booking taxi's, restaurants, offering trip advice etc. Had the pool and Jacuzzi to ourselves most of the time. Free shuttle service to Forio and anywhere within reason by hotel.
It was a 40 minute walk to/from Forio with a steep climb back up to the hotel. A taxi would cost 20 euros from Forio, so this soon added up. Although the hotel offered a free shuttle service, this did not operate from 4pm until 7 pm and after 10pm. The roads were also narrow and single lane most of the time up to the hotel, so the thought of hiring a car was frightening.
Stylish modern decor, stunning location, great restaurants in walking distance, great staff, free shuttle service
If you did get a taxi anywhere it was about 20 euros each way
Staff was amazing. They really went out of their way to make you feel welcome. Room was very nice. Grounds were beautiful.
Hotel is not close to much. Location is nice if you have a car or moped and are an excellent driver. (Roads to hotel are incredibly steep and incredibly narrow meaning that when cars meet going opposite directions, one car often needs to back up to allow the other to pass.) The hotel offers a shuttle but this leaves you at the mercy of waiting for drop off and pickup. For Ischia in general, I would recommend a moped or car. Bikes are almost impossible with the steepness of the roads. Taxis are very expensive. The bus is a decent option but it is a very healthy walk to nearest bus and you are at the mercy of the bus.
Amazing place for view, calm and people! Super locale food 5 min walking.
Scooter or car needed!
One of the best places we stayed at travelling across Italy for a month. Interior is very beautiful and comfortable - rooms are very tastefully furnished and decorated, new high quality facilities. But for us the highlight of tenuta del poggio was its wonderful garden with home grown lemons, strawberry and vegetables AND great sea views as well! Very relaxing home-like atmosphere that can only be found in small family-run hotels. The owner was very welcoming and kindly attended to all our questions / requests. We usually prefer to try new places, but when next time on Ischia will definitely stay there again. There is just nothing else to wish for. Many thanks to Antonio and his family - great job!
