We liked almost everything, especially the welcome and attention to all our needs and questions during the whole stay till the last minute. It's well equipped. Very convenient that the garden is closed and kids can run everywhere (just you have to check they don't go in the swimming pool). Rooms are all nicely decorated and spacious, beds are comfortable. Surprisingly there are a lot of things to do in the village of Santo Stefano itself. For example there are some really good restaurants and the market. I also appreciated a lot that Tenuto Fagnanetto is absolutely kid friendly. We had everything we needed for the baby. Big big thanks to Patrick and Lucia and big hugs
There was nothing we could complain on. Just you have to expect that the house is a historical building and decorated in its own charming style. Wi fi is enough to read the news but to watch video it's not enough. But it's rather good because it's so cool to spend time walking or relaxing near swimming pool instead of looking in the iPhone :)
It was great, could not be better. Patric was very helpful and recommended two very good restaurants. One Stazione only 1,5 km. You can walk. He helped us to buy some very good wines at Tenuta Il Falchetto and of course buy from Patric.
It’s a very nice location. The rooms are big and clean. The terraces and the swimming pool are very nice. The owner, Patrick and his wife are very friendly. It’s the perfect place to relax.
Patrick was a lovely host, shared with us the history of his ancestor's house. The garden is so beautiful, surrounded by vineyards. The pool is lovely, quiet.. we realy felt like home. So peacefull, inspiring. Patrick cooked lunch for us, which was delicious. The place to have brakfast is very intimate, cosy, with paintings of his grand-grand-parents on the wall. We enjoyed local food (milk, prosciuto, cheese), sweets, and a gorgeaous cappuccino made by our host. I really started to miss that place the moment I left it.
The ancient house is well kept and located in a great vinery scene. Wanted to relax: got it! Patrick and Susanna are perfect host.
Nothing to report, all was as expected.
Awesome old farm house with a beautiful garden in the middle of the vineyard and a very friendly owners
Very professional welcome from the two really nice owners - Patrick and Susanna. Relaxing and beautiful location to suggest for every season
nothing to report
Everything. Owners are super nice and friendly
We stayed here for 5 nights and could have stayed much longer! The property is beautiful! The rooms are decorated nicely and very clean. Very nice views and also located close to the village of Santo Stefano Belbo (walkable). Breakfast is good, Mattia and Patrick make the best cappuccino's. It is possible to book dinner at the property, which I highly recommend. Mattia is an excellent chef. The property is well maintained, lovely artwork, nice pool, comfortable lounge chairs and a little bar at the pool (the fridge can be used by guests). Mattia and Patrick are excellent hosts who will recommend places and make dinner reservations. Even with loading the wine we got into our car at the day of departure. We will be back!
It was just a fantastic stay. Patrick and Mattio were very hospitable! Dinner superb with the most beautiful wine. Unfortunately we only stayed for 1 night. Will definately come back and will recommend this old 18th century tenuta in this wonderfull setting! We liked the art details (made by the father of Mattio) All the best you and the family
In fact almost everything. A great house, cosy rooms, fantastic friendly owners always ready to help you, generally nice location (minor drawbacks discussed later), great surroundings and views from the room, great restaurant, nice garden with a pool, etc. We've been to quite a lot of places around Europe, but Tenuta Fagnanetto really seems to be one of the best. And value for money is great e.g. if comparing it to hotels in Provence.
Not drawbacks, but minor issues and advices. Santo Stefano is quite a nice city, but there's not much to see so you have to either stay at the hotel (which is not a bad option at all) or do lot of travelling by car (or train which is also available or whatever). And the city is a bit far from most of the regional autostradas. But that's not a big deal. As for the hotel some glasses in the rooms would make a great addition to the room in a great wine region.
