Where can I start??!! A stay here should be on everyone's "bucket" list. Absolutely superb. This is a renovated small convent built in 1249. The renovation is to an extremely high standard, very carefully thought out with a great eye for detail. Our hosts Daniele and Massimo welcomed us into their home as part of the family. We were shown how to access Florence quickly and cheaply by train which was very helpful. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the surroundings and good company. Thank you so much. We will be back!!

Daniele and Massimo is great hosts. We enjoyed our stay very much and it is worthed to drive extra 10 kms to reach there. I just only say make sure that you book early.

Super location in the hills above Florence, quiet with great views. Massimo, Danieli and Maria were all very helpful and generous, they made the trip so much more personal. Breakfast were fantastic, The room was very clean and well maintained with a kitchen and eating area. While the buildings are very old they have been renovated very well and with modern amenities. We had a great time, and would recommend to anyone who wants to visit Tuscany/Florence, with convenient access to the city, but staying in the quiet of the countryside. Thoroughly enjoyable!

Access from the road is steep and partly unmade. Not a problem but requires care.

Everything was perfect. Actually the experience we've got was a bit above my expectations from reading reviews. Danielle and Massimo are doing a great job in satisfying every aspect of traveler's accommodation. There were so many nice little details: streetlights turning on automatically when you enter the pathway down to hotel or a parking lot, old-style door locks that looked like antique but worked properly, the smell, the cleanliness, very well maintained pathways, chairs and poufs anywhere you like, the view above Florence, Massimo's omelet and cappucco... Very special thanks to Danielle for his help and assistance on best routes, restaurants, places to visit and so on - he was very scrupulous in his recommendations. I'm glad that we had a chance to stay here (4 days) and will not be surprised if there is a long queue to book this lovely place (it has only 5 rooms which is also perfect).

You definitely have to be on a wheels to stay here since there's no public transit but it was not a downside for me. Also you have to be in a good driving experience - the road to Tenuta Lonciano pretty hilly and sometimes pretty narrow.

My wife and I recently spent 5 nights / 6 days of our honeymoon here at Tenuta Lonciano while we explored Tuscany. After arriving back home our first impression was that we want to go back and stay at the same place. After being home now for over 2 weeks, our impression is still the same. From our understanding it was a former convent and now it gives the impression of being an old style farmhouse, but with modern conveniences and elegance. When we arrived, the driveway from the main road down to the b&b seemed a bit daunting, but then once we started down we realized there was nothing to worry about. There was a small parking area where one of the owners, Daniele, met us and promptly gave us a tour of the property. He then gave us advice on how to get to Florence without spending a lot on parking (12 minutes by train) and advice on where not to eat (I.E. where the overpriced coffee shops and other restaurants were) and where the more reasonably priced places are. He willingly offered that if we needed a taxi to just call him and he would come and pick us up or to call him if we were in any kind of trouble. Our room was very nice, comfortable, and more than what we expected as we had both our room and a small room that would have been used by children if we had any, but which we used to store our luggage. The room included both a large bathroom with toilette plus a small toilette room. The pictures from their website tell the story accurately. There are several canopy seating areas outside on the property to enjoy a romantic evening as well as a pool to help you refresh after traveling or touring. When we enjoyed the pool we felt we were alone in a forest with Florence in the background as the lavender that was planted next to the pool gave a wonderful aroma. The breakfasts were well set out with a large variety of offerings including bread, fruit, meats, sweets, cereal, and fresh juice.

To be greeted by daniele with such warmth, energy and friendliness commenced what was to be a superb stay in tuscany. An easy trip to beautiful florence and then escape back into your own peaceful villa in the mountains (0nly 10km). Recharge your battery with a walk or bike ride in the mountains(bikes supplied). The rooms are beautiful, spacious,spotlessly clean, scent filled retreat, with superb gardens. Breakfast matches any 5 star hotel with the happy intimacy that massimo provided. You could stay for 2 or 20 days and still regret leaving. A must stay.

You need a car( preferably with gps) to get to and from tenuta Lonciano, limited public transport, There are restuarants 3km away but osteo morella is well worth the effort to dine at.

The location of Tenuta Lonciano in the forested hills only a few km from Florence and all services, make this an absolutely perfect place for a break from the routines of a working life. Danielle, Massimo and Maria were excellent hosts. Danielle provided exceptional assistance in booking train tickets and sorting out a motorway toll gate problem. The rooms are quaint, different and superbly clean. The breakfast food choices are incredible. The small farmyard and collection of animals helped create an atmosphere of isolation and peacefulness. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and loved the staff. We recommend Tenuta Lonciano to anyone wanting to stay in the Florence area.

We were in Tenuta Lonciano for our honeymoon. The place is fantastic! The location, Danielle/Maria, the donkey, the breakfast and the design of the rooms are all amazing. All rooms have there own unique style. We will definitely come back to Tenuta Lonciano if we return to Tuscany. Thanks Danielle and Maria!

The old convent transformed into a little palace. The view is magnificent The service is excellent Unforgettable. The place to stay when you are visiting Firenze and the Tuscany region.

La ristrutturazione e l'arredamento della camera La posizione.

La posizione della Tenuta è semplicemente straordinaria. Appena usciti da uno splendido bosco, la Tenuta domina dall'alto come un castello medievale tutta la pianura fiorentina. I gestori sono gentilissimi, l'atmosfera è accogliente e le stanze sono confortevoli e ben arredate con gusto country chic. Colazione ottima e abbondante, curata nei minini dettagli con torte fatte in casa buonissime. Firenze è a portata di mano ma si respira l'aria di un posto lontano dal caos della città. Purtroppo abbiamo pernottato nella stagione fredda e non abbiamo potuto sperimentare la stupenda piscina con vista mozzafiato. Consigliatissimo!

Tenuta Lonciano e' un ex-convento del 1272, meraviglioso, immerso nella natura, vicinissimo a Firenze in circa 20 minuti. Vista magnifica sulla citta', ottima ospitalita', ottima colazione. Il proprietario Daniele e' una persona eccezionale. Ritornero' molto presto.

Accès très bien indiqué En pleine colline avec vue sur la toscane établissement très agréable, un coin de paradis préservé et soigné De l accueil convivial, a la décoration raffinée au petit déjeuner parfait Chaussons, serviettes, tout était digne d'un hôtel 5 Etoiles, jusqu au conseils de restaurant et de visites touristiques. Nous aurions voulu rester plus longtemps!!! Nous y retournerons c est certain, merci a l équipe...

Le temps est passé trop vite!

Straordinario!Fantastico!Super! Dal benvenuto all'arrivederci e' stata una poesia. Cordialita', eleganza, pulizia regnano in questo incantevole ex-monastero del 1300. Vicinissimo al centro di Firenze (15-20 minuti), ottima posizione per raggiungere Siena, Lucca. Colazione DIVINA. Consigliatissimo

Долго ехали по маленьким узким улицам, потом по грунтовой дороге и все вверх, аж уши закладывало.И тут такая красотища, невероятный дом, постройки 13 века, холмы, цветы, ароматы, а под ногами Флоренция! Великолепный дизайн комнат, ощущение замка, и в тоже время современная техника,сантехника, хорошо оборудованная мини-кухня (кстати, мы не знали, что она там есть) все на высшем уровне! Прекрасный завтрак. красивая территория, где можно отдохнуть стоя, сидя и лежа))) А вечером, плюхнувшись в удобное кресло, налив бокал тосканского вина, смотришь на огни Флоренции и даже не хотеться что-то говорить... Благодать.

La qualité de l'accueil, les renseignements fournis par Danièle pour visiter Florence et la région, la qualité du petit déjeuner orchestré par le chef Massimo. Que du bonheur de faire un passage dans cet ancien couvent.

La gentilezza dello Staff, il posto è incantevole immerso nel verde ma a soli 15 minuti dal centro di Firenze. La stanza era molto bella e curata. Ottima colazione la mattina con roba fresca e genuina.

Non è molto vicino al centro di Firenze ma se cerchi in po' di pace dalla caotica città questo è il posto adatto!

Ogni dettaglio è curato nei minimi particolari dai gentilissimi proprietari e gestori, Daniele e Massimo. Posizione panoramica unica, ambienti molto originali con gradevoli accostamenti cromatici inseriti in una pittoresca struttura d'epoca medievale. Colazione ottima e abbondante, accessibile anche a chi, come me celiaco, soffre di intolleranze alimentari. Se si resiste alla forte tentazione di rimanere in collina a rilassarsi, Firenze è alla portata grazie al comodo e frequente collegamento da e con Sesto Fiorentino. Consigliatissimo!

Die ruhige Lage war einmalig. Die Unterkunft hatte ein besonderes Flair. Das Frühstücksbuffet war herrlich und die Betreuung durch den Besitzer und das Personal war außerordentlich zuvorkommend und freundlich.

Eigenes Fahrzeug oder Leihwagen ist unbedingt erforderlich.
