Lello and Flavia go out of their way to make you feel welcome at Tenuta Montelaura. Flavia's amazing cooking and willingness to show you how to make home made pasta or pizza was an unexpected bonus. Lello can take you to different wineries in the area and has a vast knowledge of the local wines. Overall, it was a wonderful visit and we were treated as friends; not clients. Thank you, very much, Lello and Flavia for our perfect stay!

We stayed three nights, but would gladly have stayed longer. Very pleasant atmosphere, delicious home-cooked (slow food) meals with matching wines. We were welcomed as friends and were invited to go to a wine festival in the neighborhood. Rooms are nice and clean, the place is well located, with many daytrip attractions in the area (eg Napoli, Pompei, Amalfi...). We look forward to coming back some day.

Lello and Flavia, the owner couple, were very great hosts. The experience that we had there was simply great. My 18 months old baby enjoyed staying there, too. The following are the more excellent points than other hotels; Dinner - Local & traditional but quite sophisticated Wine - Lello is a professional sommelier and he choose the suitable wine to the dinner Flavia cooked by herself Beautiful Green nature and the sky like as a planetarium in the night Hospitality – Again, their warm helpfulness

We simply had a perfect stay. The family that runs the place gave us a very warm and welcoming feeling. On top of that we had great food and splendid wines to accompany (really not expensive). Authenticity as it is supossed to be, they produce so much themselves: their own wines, walnut liqueur, limoncello, dried sausages, pastas and so on, and this all in a beautiful place with a calm and soothing garden. Needless to say that we highly recommend this place!

The room was great, The family that owns this Bed and Breakfast made you feel like one of their family and could not do enough for us while we were staying there. Lello took us to his friends winerys and we were welcome there and had a fantastic time. He also took us into town to look up my Grandparents information. Flavia cooked fantastic meals and if you were ever hungry it would be your fault because she cooked feasts to fit a King or a Queen. Veronica and Luigi were really freindly and helped their parents out a lot. We played cards with them at night before our feast. I would definitely recommend staying at Tenuta Montelaura and will be going back again in the future.

As frequent travelers to Italy we have stayed in all types of lodging in many regions. The experience at Tenuta Monte Laura was one of the best. Lello and Flavia along with their son and daughter are gracious hosts. The beauty of the property dotted with wonderful specimens of pine and fir with accents of exotic palm is luscious and regal. Great chestnut groves surround the property. The photos on the website are not manipulated, what you see is what you get. The majestic building has spacious, clean and comfortable rooms that provide a perfect base for exploring the riches of this land. Alone this would be a reason to stay here. Then you add the food and wine. Lello is a certified member of the Italian Sommelier Association and Flavia is a recognized member of the Federation of Italian Cooks. Both are advocates of the Slow Food organization that originated in Italy. The evening meals are fixed menu reflecting the countryside. What is available or in season is what appears on the plate. We were given a choice of eating family style with the other guests and family or at a single table, we chose family style. Local wine, great food, good conversation, Italy personified. Everything was simple, clean and absolutely delicious. Just when we thought it could not get better, dinner #2. We had spent some time talking about food and Flavia went out of her way to prepare some dishes that were typical but probably reserved for special occasions, and to Americans not usual. These dishes are in the dreams of food lovers. A great experience on all levels, la vita vera Italiana (the real Italian life). Ken and Darlene San Diego, CA

ruime kamers.

A éviter.
