VERY small, No toilet seat, back door didn't lock properly, the photo made the apartment look completely different.
The Apartment itself was perfect for anyone one from a couple to a family, very spacious and very comfortable. Good location for the explorer, gives you a good opportunity to wander the whole of Florence and explore what the back streets have to offer. Near a train & bus station Felt safe. The host was very friendly and provided us with some great recommendations to eat and drink!
Stairs (argghhh, no elevator and on the 4th floor, but got some good exercise) The bathroom can become flooded when showering.
I like the location as it was accessible easily
It can get quite noisy at night
The proximity to train & bus station.
It has no lift and aircon is not good enough. It has no iron board & kettle. I also dont like the staff taking a photo on our passports.
It was at foot - distance from everything
The appartment was not clean, the air condition didn`t work ( and we were unlucky cause it was a very hot weekend at Florance), they didn`t have to provide us face towels, the drain of the shower was clogged. It looked so nice at the photos !! Also in the beginning , they tried to give us another appartment ( not the one that we had booked) that was even worse.
The location is very nice.
The host was very impolite to us. First, he provided us the wrong address and never apologised about that. He accused us being uneducative and saying that we are very rude to him. (even if that would truth it is a reason to treat your clients like that). The wifi was not working. We tried to contact during our stay however he wasn't picking up the phone. We were not even been provided with information how to check out and were not able to contact the host.
The bathroom was very durty. The land lord lated, so we spent a long time waiting for him.
The location was ok (close to everything you need to see in Florence but a bit dark and tricky at night) but other than that not much was even close to being ok....
The original appartment shown in photos was not the one we were given. The appartment we were given was in a building that was moldy and so smelly we had to run up the stairs in one breath. The appartment was also very smelly (moldy smell although mold was not apparent on walls) and cold. There was no heating and we were only given sheets to sleep on and under. We asked for some duvet and were given again sheets. There were no basic amenities like toilet paper (1 small roll for 2 days for 4 people). The apparment was old, smelly and creepy and would not suggest it to anyone. Also contact person didnt speak english so we could not communicate. Called her twice to ask for heating and toilet paper and she never answered. Overall, it was a really bad experience, bad deal, too expensive considering what was offered and would not recommend to anyone...
location is convenience
microoven and hair drier cannot used
NO ELEVATOR, FULL OF MUSTIQUOS, NOW SHOWER AREA, NO PROPER HOT WATER, ETC...
This apartment was very typical to how locals live. It was only a few blocks from the train station. The man helping us check in, gave us a map and a few referrals around the city. Felt like this walk good walking distance to most attractions. Great arancini down the street towards the train station at a hole in the wall shop.
This particular apartment had a neighbor that watched loud tv, but it was turned off about the time we went to bed, so it wasn't much of a problem. The bed could use some love. I felt kinda like I was rolling out of it.
Very good location and could easy access to the tourist points and good restaurants. Facilities are good and we also enjoyed the cooking in the apartment after bought some food from the central market...
Location and there was some basic food items for us.
There wasn't anything we didn't like.
loved the design of apartments, great location, helpful staff. thank you.
unfortunately heating system is not designed for cold weather in the city. Also disappointed refusal request to change the date of departure from appartments.
Wastebasket under a window
We stayed in Suite No. 18, and it is a surprisingly fantastic place. It has a large living room, large bedroom, tiny kitchen, a medium-sized balcony, and false floor which has a small bathroom/toilet and another bed. The balcony also has a large skylight from which sunlight streams in illuminating the living room. It is lovely to sit in the balcony for your meals or a cup of tea, watch the sun go down. The view from the balcony is mostly a focused look at the tops of other buildings. This place could be so much better if the building had a lift (the suite is located on the 3rd floor, and after that another flight of narrow steps), if the fridge was working and if there was wi- fi available. But it's an apartment to yourself so you can cook your meals.
Fridge wasn't working. Fridge was stinking. No wi-fi. No lift in the building, suite was located on 3rd floor. No cleaner to clean the apartment even every alternate/3rd day.
The advantage of these apartments is that they are convenient to the downtown (where all the great sites are) as well as the train station. Many excellent eating establishments around. Convenience to everything abounds. The apartments are typical European apartments, but I can see that they are trying hard to outfit them -- we saw fans, a standing air conditioner, drying racks, plates, cups, and utensils, etc. The tv was very nice, and there is quite the variety of channels to watch. But of course we were out touring the entire time and too tired to watch much by the time we returned. Internet is available for a fee, but you must ask for it beforehand. Basic supplies like paper towels, trash bags, cleaning stuff, were not in the apartment, and there was one roll of toilet paper in our apartment. The one next door had two when they got there. The apartment is clean, but some of the furniture has seen better days, especially the chairs. But again, we were out all day (stayed a total of 3 days and 2 nights), so all we really wanted was a clean, nice bed, and a shower. And that we had. Also, an apartment that sleeps 6, means a nice double bed downstairs, and two rooms upstairs in the loft on either side of the apartment -- great for the little ones to get to, but hard on adult heads. Lots of stooping, and climbing up two skinny circular staircases. There is only one bathroom in each apartment that we had, but it worked for us.
The advertisement stated a ground floor apartment which is why we booked with this group. It was the ground floor of where the apartments started, which was really the 3rd floor. The knee was not happy, and neither was I. There is not a lift in the building. That is my major complaint -- but feel it is necessary to warn you. My other issue was the size of the shower in our apartment. While we could get in and out, it was very small. No soap dish, or accoutrement holder at all. It was so small, if you needed to bend over to get the shampoo or such off the floor, you could not. So lots of opening the shower door to get items off the sink top. Also, the toilet seats, while there are some, are not attached well, if at all. Strange to us, but we learned as we visited many places those days, that we were lucky to have seats at all in these apartments. I will admit that it was a bit noisy on the street below, but we will not complain about it. If we had stayed a week, we might feel differently. But the advantage of being on the edge of downtown and convenient to all places we wanted to go was worth it.
A place is good.
The staff does not keep his promise. If it reaches there although it was called OK when it reserves, it will be said that it is impossible. It is dusty to the floor.
Convenient location. Quiet.
Lack of washing machine, although promised. Number of stairs. Kitchen could have been outfitted better.
This is a spacious bed and breakfast. Good location, about 5 minutes walk from the train station. Please note that we stayed in flat no. 19.
The place looks so dated. The pictures that were posted at Booking.com were probably 5 or 10 years ago. This place is similar to a haunted house especially the toilet (toilet seat is not attached to the toilet bowl) Not enough lighting and the only light in the toilet turns on and off on its own. Creepy. The ac on the main area was not working.
Location, and friendly staff despite my criticism.
Having to meet someone in the street to collect my key. The key breaking in the lock to the front door at 1.30am. Scruffy, but essentially clean apartment.
Good location. Very close to train station.
--Shower was broken - couldn't attach to the wall. --No ironing board and faulty iron. --Front door to building was broken so couldn't leave the apartment building - had to wait for someone to open from the outside - luckily it wasn't long. I had mentioned this door issue to the owner - his response was to just call him if stuck. --No kettle, so had to boil water in a huge pan. --Had to wait about 40 minutes to check in, having been told it would be 20. --for the price we paid I would have expected more. It was basically an empty room with a few pots n pans. There wasn't even any hand soap.
