The Garda Village  

it's a nice place, very suitable for families.near the main attractions in garda lake.there is a big pool and supermarket. the village is open around the clock. there are rabits jumping around the kids loved it.

you can't go around the pool with shoes on...

The place is perfect for family with children good location, have a beach and swimming pool, 10 min driving from the old city and very close to the center.

Every thing I like ,the one that I dont like that the animation stops at 15 september its too early,there are many tourists in that week that I' v been in there.

We choose this hotel as it looked like one of the best in the area from the pictures on the website. We were not wrong with this. Although the decor is a little dated now the facilities are everything you need and the room we had was fantastic. My wife and I got married in the castle nearby (10min walk away) so we were put into a lovely room with ornate itallian furniture, which looked stunning on the photo's. The hotel is run by an Itallian couple who don't speak English that well, but they made us feel very welcome and were extremely friendly. We will definately go back for our wedding aniversary.

It was well placed for visiting Lake Garda, although a car would have been useful. The room was quiet and peaceful, probably the best I have had in this respect. The pool area was well kept and very clean. The restaurant was excellent and we enjoyed several meals there. The shop on site was also welcome as the nearest supermarket was a bit away. It was an easy walk to the nearest town but not for carrying groceries. Right on the lake. Good facilities for sport,etc, although we did not use them.

Basic accomodation, not many frills. Very regimented, wrist bands an unnecessary irritation and strict closure of the pool at 6.00. No entertainment at night > this is a major drawback for a site away from facilities, although it was September there were still a lot of people in the park and there was nothing to do in the evening. One of the women in the supermarket was very unhelpful and downright rude.

We had booked a mobile home for 4 but was upraded on arrival to one for 6. It seemed very new and everything was well kept from the home to the grounds. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the pool was great and the beach was much better than expected. We did not avail of the entertainment as it was catering mostly for younger children. Was surprised how peaceful the village was. We had a car so location was perfect for trips to Sirmione, Gardaland, Verona, Bergamo etc. Really loved the stay and didn't want to go home.

The lake is warmer than the pool which is nice on a hot day. Cooking is possible but you need to buy everything, salt, sugar, washing up liquid, tea towels etc and there are very few utensils for proper cooking. There is no kettle so you have to boil water in a pot. Overall I was really impressed and can't find anything serious to fault.

Overall the stay was pleasant, the kitchen is equiped with basic stuff, need to bring dish-washing detergrnt, wiper and garbage bags. The facilities looks nice, we didn't use most of them as we went out to tour the area around Lake Garda and came back very late, but it seem to have many attractions. The beds were comfortable and The location is very good.

There was no phone in the mobile home. When we made our booking we were ensured that the mobile home we booked was specious enough to facilitate a baby cot. However that was far from true. We had to remove the bedside tables, move the bed to the side which left space just enaugh for the cot (but not enough to put even half a foot...).

-We had to pick up after the cleaning women. We heard lot of noisy from the neighbour land.Dirty walls.It was not a real fourtstras apartment willage. It was only a strong twostars one!

Fantastic location, lovely holiday village, excellent friendly and helpful staff. Overall a great holiday and we will definitely be going back as soon as possible!

Would have preferred more kitchen facilities in our maxi caravan eg oven and possibly microwave
