Close to Colosseum and Forum, but off the beaten path. Comfortable, luxurious room. Nice rooftop lounge. Staff very friendly, professional and accommodating.
Free breakfast and happy hour hors d'oeuvres, but need to work on better selection of fresh fruits and options.
We loved everything about our stay at this hotel. Every staff member we encountered went out of his or her way to help us and was energetic and friendly. Our room was beautifully decorated, very warm and inviting, and the bath products and towels are high quality. We loved our bed so much we wanted to bring it home with us. The Roman Forum is literally right outside the door. The breakfast buffet is the best I have ever encountered in a hotel, with lots of fresh fruit, eggs made on the spot, delicious pastries, with late hours for those of us who like to sleep in. Beautiful outdoor seating patio, and the indoor common area had a fireplace and was lovely. We can't wait to come back!
We were trying to think of anything we did not like about our experience, and the only thing we could come up with is a bit silly: The coffee quality was bad. We love coffee, and this was just not good. But seriously, that is our only complaint and it is frivolous.
From the moment my wife and I arrived at The Inn at the Roman Forum we were made to feel extremely welcome. All the staff were friendly and went out of their way to make our stay special. Every aspect of the hotel was wonderful.
All staff were relaxed and friendly in an informal and individualistic way. Reception staff gave personal recommendations for restaurants and activities. Rooms stylist and comfy - especially the bed.
Friendly staff, excellent fresh food at breakfast, beautiful room.
• The hotel is without a doubt, the most beautiful we have ever stayed in, even the photos don't do it justice. • The staff were excellent, professional but very friendly, and helped with any request we had. • I had booked an executive suite, but upon arriving at the hotel, we were upgraded to the garden terrace room at the top of the building. Having drinks in the garden in the evening and breakfast delivered to it in the morning was incredible. • The view from the front terrace is breathtaking. • I couldn't recommend the hotel enough.
Could do with some higher tables to have breakfast at as lounge comfy but breakfast off my lap not my favourite.....but from relaxed atmosphere.
Located on a charming little street within easy walking distance of both the Forum and Colosseum. Staff were great and very helpful. The choice at breakfast was fantastic also.
The staff were so attentive and thoroughly pleasant. Great location. Rome is always memorable, but this time the hotel is a fixed part of wonderful memories.
There was nothing I didn't like.
Outstanding building, location, rooms, service
Don't even know where to start... Maybe by just saying the hotel is in an amazing location. On a very quite cobble street, is the door to this great hotel. It's like a secret that probably shouldn't be shared. Staff were impeccable! Oh the forum on site is absolutely WOW.
Location, atmosphere, small size, personal touch and service
Card lock on door didnt want to work one morning
Location, fantastic staff, garden
The style and interior design of the room, breakfast was standard
Location & staff
We stayed in a room at the adjacent building, which was a fabulous room, but when we wanted to extend our stay it wasn't available. They then moved us to the top floor garden suite, I believe it was one of the nicest rooms in the hotel. I was absolutely amazed when I walked in the door. The room was stunning and spacious. My husband and I truely felt like king and queen. Also, the bed was soo big--bigger than a king size bed. What's better than a king? A pope I guess, I'd call it a pope size bed!
It was quite loud outside of the room in the morning.
Location and staff were excellent. Bed was very comfortable.
staff very friendly and helpful great location near to main attractions yet really quiet area would definitely stay again
Team members could not do enough for us. Location was perfect for all the main attractions which are walkable. Hotel has individual character and style.
As well as rooms in the hotel, they also have rooms in adjoining apartments - they are good, but would have been nice to know we were in a seperate building. Given the proximity and design it can be quite noisy in the rooms due to the fact that you can hear other people in their rooms/apartments - no noise late at night though so did not keep us awake.
Brilliant location, fantastic staff, excellent bed, good sized room.
Breakfast could be better
We had an Executive Room and found it very spacious for our needs. The decor of our room was very unique and the location was perfect, we were able to walk to all the attractions except The Vatican where we took the Metro. Very easy and cheap. As the hotel was located off the beaten track, there was no outside noise so nice and quiet. The staff were all very helpful and courteous; at our request they promptly booked us a table at a lovely restaurant which we found excellent reviews for online. The roof terrace/garden looked lovely although with the weather a little chilly early doors (fine if you had a jumper), we unfortunately didn't utilise it. The breakfast was perfect for us and breakfast timings were very accommodating for our needs. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. We used the airport transfer facility offered by the hotel, both ways, and it was excellent, the cars were spacious and clean, on time and speedy.
Just some minor gripes really. I think the shower and bath were in need of a bit of TLC in our room (simply re-grouting perhaps and a little tidy up). Liquid hand soap instead of a small round block soap with nowhere to put it or no soap dish to put it in would have worked better (the sink was a modern round deep basin type). There was a lack of plug sockets in our bedroom (we are quite techie with iPads, iPhones, kindles etc) and although there was a tea/coffee making facility, we found we had to move everything around the vicinity of it out the way just to plug in the kettle because of lack of sockets. There was a docking station for an iPod/iPhone but we didn't use this. We perhaps required more than the one very small waste paper bin that was housed in the bathroom. Our room was located on the 3rd floor at the front of the main building and was directly beneath the floor where breakfast was prepared and served daily between 6:45am-10:30am. I was certainly woken up early every morning with the noise of it all being set up. Other bedroom doors on the same floor slammed quite loudly too, however saying that I am quite a light sleeper and therefore may not be an issue to others staying in that room.
The room, without a view, was nice but rather dark. The staff was friendly and helpful.
This hotel is tricky. On the one hand, you are in the center of Rome, on the other, it is very difficult to get to as the hotel is on a secluded street with a strange entrance that does not lead you to think it is a "Small Luxury Hotel". Breakfast is poor and don't imagine there is a real view to be had from the rooftop terrace, there isn't.
Really can't fault it. Perfect location for all the sites, comfortable, friendly, delightful roof top bar. Would definitely return.
Nothing, it was perfect.
