We had a really bad experience during our four nights stay in Pope Window. I would definitely NOT recommend it to any person. This is not a serious place. We were there during Christmas time and on our first morning, at December 25th, nobody showed up for the breakfast until at least 8.30 (it should be ready at 8.00). We are really used to simple hotels, but this never happened to us. And even worst: nobody tried to apologise. Instead of it, they kept saying that it was Christmas, that it might happen, that there are no buses in Rome in Christmas morning, that this was not their fault etc. I just think that Christmas is not an unexpected event and someone should have managed in advance to be there somehow. When I mentioned that any hotel should be prepared for that, the staff said: “This is not a hotel. This is a B&B… it’s different”. One should also note that the staffs can be hardly seen to help you if you need something. There is no 24h reception and you really need to inform them your arriving time, otherwise you cannot enter the building. Maybe for this reason, one day before we leave, someone knocked on our room after breakfast to ask us to pay for our stay. Additionally, we were there for four nights and our towels were not replaced. On our bathroom, we had water dropping from the roof in a bowl. Honestly, I guess the only positive thing about this place is the location if you want to stay close to the Vatican.
We loved The Popes Window. Our room was wonderfully spacial, with two teenage daughters who like to spread the large rooms were appreciated!! Our room had the balcony with the view of the Vatican which made it perfect. Breakfast was amazing with more than we could have ever hoped to eat!! The staff were excellent too, they even made up takeaway breakfasts for us on the mornings that we had early starts. With a bus stop right outside the front door it made traveling around Rome easy.
Great location, great staff, great breakfast. Everything was perfect, we will definitely come back
Localization, clean, friendily, break fast acomodation and wifi.
Location is great, just a few minutes walk from the Vatican. Parking is possible in the streets surrounding the building (much cheaper than in nearby garages, free over night). Great bus line 64 in front of the building. For bed and breakfast a great choice in Rome.
Great location! Very comfy and very accommodating staff. Breakfast was waiting for us and a wonderful state to the day. Missed CA at night, but the great restaurants and easy access made up for it.
We had a great stay at the Pope Window. The transfer service was fast and friendly, the room big enough for the four of us. The location is great with the Vatican just couple of minutes away for a short stroll in the evening, when everything is quiet and nicely lit. Another plus is the bus-stop right in front of the door. The restaurant "la Vittoria" was a great place to eat on our first evening. Breakfast was easy-going and the Capucchino was made directly at the table. Don´t expect a 4 star interieur, but it is nicely decorated and has everything for a city trip. We would return any time.
Central, staff very friendly and helpful.
Financial exploitation because over charge for Taxi from airport to pope window that they arranged 50 euros. Whereas on way back I was able to get to airport for 30 euros. It's a shame The Pope window manager did that. Real let down. In addition wifi did not work nor did kettle or heating!
The location was excellent, easy trip into the centre of Rome and all the main places.
The staff at The Pope Window were wonderful. They were so gracious and helpful. We would recommend this place 100%. Location was fabulous.
everything was perfect, the location great, I enjoyed the staing in The Pope Window
