Since every thing was perfect it is very petty to not have any restaurant in the hotel
+ Great place to be + Great rooms + great bar and awesome drinks + sweet breakfast + friendly staff We'll come back!
Really an original property with fun décor around every corner. Room was fairly spacious with modern shower. The location can't be beat for nightlife activity and cool artsy shops close to the hotel. Main tourist attractions are about a 15 to 20 min. walk.
Beware of mosquito's! We had a room with a small balcony but could not use it due to the large number of mosquito's!!! Bring spray!!! There were some small details that were overlooked by the staff but overall our stay for one night was nice.
I just loved the hotel - it is amazing! So many things with each own history collected together in a beautiful way. The rooms are wonderful with huge terraces. I would definitely come back again!
Vicinity to a vibrant neighborhood Lovely and kind breakfast ladies Open spaces Modern and spacious bathroom And of course the dog
Limited item breakfast Incompetance ( or rather Ignorance of one particular front desk person) Leaving that day's weather report on the bed late in the afternoon, long after you discovered the weather by strolling the city. Unplugged and smelly refrigarator in the room ( possibly unplugged by the previous occupants since it was too loud)
The Yard is eclectic, intimate and well designed. The many different conversation or quiet spaces and communal breakfast table ( if you choose). Beds and bathrooms are excellent and communications like a handwritten weather forecasts are nice touches. This is the second time we have stayed and it has significantly expanded in 12 months. Stephanie is a gem.
The staff vary in their hospitality ethic and a couple of staff appeared just plain grumpy and disengaged. They didn't communicate with each other on a few details to do with our booking. Consequently, It feels like it has lost some of its good vibe. Our check in and 'welcome' could be called efficient but bordered on cool and officious, which was in stark contrast to our experience during our last stay. We were at the end of a long day of travel and the person who checked us in told us there was a problem with our credit card and we were lucky to have our booking held when we had already phoned and sorted it out. It felt like we were being told off and soured it a bit. The breakfast, while beautifully presented, is no longer the traditional Northern Italian affair and has gone 'more Continental'.
Interior design of hotel, particularly the public areas. Breakfast Cocktails
Smell of cigarette smoke in room. Room smaller than expected for a junior suite.
The look and feel was unique and fun. Loved the themed rooms.
The staff at the Yard made our family feel like we were guests in their home, after mentioning that my husband would be celebrating his birthday during our stay they upgraded our suite, had a cake waiting for us at breakfast and even arranged to have 'Happy Birthday' sung for him at dinner when they made reservations for us. The decor is amazing, it would take a week to check out all the unique items in the lobby, the rooms were very stylish, unique and very comfortable, and the bar was terrific! Best Moscow Mule on the entire trip!!
Location Format and layout of hotel Attention to detail by staff Arranged transport from airport to hotel Advice on restaurants
Ground floor room near bar area
Great service from front desk. Interestingly modern yet vintage decor. Enjoyed the breakfast (particularly the homemade cake on our first day!).
There's A LOT of Mosquitos in the area and in the hotel. Was woken up by front desk one early morning because they mistakenly thought someone pulled the alarm in the shower, but that wasn't the case. Was a bit annoyed afterwards because wasn't able to fall back asleep.
The decor was fantastic and it had a guesthouse feel about it that you usually don't get from city hotels. The apartment was light, airy and very private. The staff, we mostly dealt with Lisa, were professional but at the same time warm and personable.
Amazing design and style. A great surprise around every corner. Excellent service. Stay here without hesitation. 20 minute walk to Duomo. 5-10 minutes to many good restaurants.
The room is clean and quiet, bed is comfortable shower is good
price: at 225+10 tax per day is too high Breakfast is small: 1 coffee+ 2 mini croissants. (orange drink, but I prefer pure orange juice).
- the staff at the front desk were extremely helpful. Lisa was very good. - the hotel itself is just full of characters - the location is excellent because it is walkable to the busy part of Milan and also the canal area where it is full of night life/restaurants
Great design. Nice staff.
Breakfast could be better.
May be our favorite B&B in the world.
The décor was incredible. The hotel is adorned with beautiful bespoke pieces - every sight is an eyeful!
The hotel's decor was really interesting and gave the hotel a very luxurious feel and I loved the fact that each room had a different theme. The hotel room (I stayed in the Chukka room) was very spacious, clean and comfortable.
The hotel is just exquisite, full of antiques and collectables, enough to make even the most minimalist tastes think twice. The staff were so helpful and great with the kids - despite all the collectables the hotel is still quite child friendly. Each room is themed and overall it's a special experience.
This is one of the best hotel I've ever been! The lady in the reception desk was so nice! I could feel the hotel was very care about us, and the details were perfect! I am strongly recommend you to live there! And I promise I will book again if I travel to Milan again someday in the future!
We love ambiance, hotel staff, free wifi, clear room…
Breakfast will be include more items.
This is one of the best boutique hotels I have stayed in. Funky, very, very hip, but also laid back. Competent and friendly staff. Great location for Milan's trendy Naviglia district and about a 20 minute walk into the centre.
Nothing. Not cheap, but great experience.
Very friendly nice people. Great decor and good location. Very good gin and tonics.
Bit confusing on arrival. Easily fixed with a bigger sign outside.
