The Duke Hotel  

Comfortable hotel, made to feel very welcome, staff in dining room very good with my grandson aged 15.

The breakfast was excellent and the car service to the centre was good. The bathroom was very nice and room was clean.

We requested a double bed, but got two single beds pushed together which was not very comfortable. The hotel was not easy to locate.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The common areas in the hotel were beautiful and very spacious.

The hotel is located a bit far from the city centre. Even though the hotel provides a shuttle service, the places are limited and pre-booking is necessary. We booked a superior double-room and it was really small. It would have been interesting to see what size the standard rooms are. A bit pricey for what it offers.

we were impressed by the courteous friendly staff. Safe location , with the excellent use of a shuttle bus . The rooms were spotless clean on a daily basis. Should we return to Rome we would book again . Thank you to all staff x

The cooked breakfast was nearly cold and wasn't very nice.

Well the staff was very friendly and efficient..however when we checked in,our room.was not available..after an hour wait,we were told we would be transferred into an hotel downtown,the gambrius..a taxi was set for us...lots of time was waisted in the transfer process..when we got to gambrius,we had to wait an other hour to check in...finally got to our room around 230.. waisted half the way in the process...as it was not possible for us to spend our second night at the gambrius,we were transferred back again into Duke hotel...again had to wait an hour for our room..but a pleasant surprise we had been upgraded to a suite...so I guess we should be happy about that...was only in rome 48 hours,lots of time wasted in back and forth transfers..

The fact that we couldn t stay the first night there because of reason not explained to us...room was not available...overbooking I guess

Excellent location with free shuttle service into centre of Rome, for convenience we took taxis everywhere from the hotel and paid no more than 15 euros.

Very friendly staff. Shuttle bus into town was vital. Great breakfast buffet.

shuttle bus departs very 30 min ( not 15 as promised) and has only 07 seats, we could not use it as it was overbooked always. The staff called this service "complimentary". Having dinner in the hotel was also complicated - only 04 tables and people waited to have place. Staff was not helpful at all.

Good Hotel however it is far from the main atractions. They offer a transfer but the car has not enoght seats and the agenda is difficult.

The hotel in itself is nice. The included breakfest was fair.

The location. The hotel does offer a curtosy shuttle to the Populo Piazza, but it can only take 7 person at the time. Thus you need to plan an reserve it in advance to go and to return. The train station is about a 10 minutes walk, but the train itself did not seem to be on a regular schedule and was really not comfortable

Friendly staff. Air conditioning was invaluable. Nice design inside, and clean.

Shuttle was a little inconvenient (Need to book 30min+ in advance), so the Metro was sometimes faster.

Very comfortable and beautiful hotel ,relaxing atmosphere, quiet location,proffesional friendly stuff .

The hotel is not in the centre of the city,there is the free shuttle- bus service,but the shuttle is small ,only for 7 person and the service lasts till 23:00,public transports go till 24:00(on week-end with some connecting till 01:00),if you like see Rome in the night you need a taxi.

Beautiful, clean room. Shuttle to metro plaza every 15 minutes. Quiet neighborhood. Courteous staff. Excellent front desk service. Welcome goodie basket in room. Wonderful breakfast. Free and fast WiFi. Very good value.

Be sure to have phone service to call for shuttle service when returning. We didn't. Had to rely on taxis.

They delivered what they promised!! Breakfasts were sumptuous & plentiful. Th shuttle service was excellent and always on time & dropped us right into the middle of city centre from where everything of tourism importance is a stone's throw away. Hotel staff was very polite & welcoming. I highly recommend duke hotel & would look no further when i visit rome next time.

We are couple from Moscow.We were staying in the Duke hotel for few days!Rooms are excellent ,staff was also great.Everytime when we will visit Rome ,we are going to stay at The Duke Hotel.
