Despite having paid top dollar for an exclusive room, I was very disappointed by the extras I had to pay on top of my room bill E.G. WiFi internet was an additional €4/hr, using the business centre was €4/usage, breakfast was not included in the room charge. These do not add up to a lot but they do really "cheapen" the experience we had at the hotel. I stay in many good hotels around the world and such things as WiFi and breakfast is always included in the room charge. Why can't that be the sae here? I would recommend the hotel to others but would caution them about the little nuisances re WiFi etc.

Location The hotel charged everyday from my credit card and while checking out the reception told me that I have a debt of 8000 euros and the money were not debited from my card but were only blocked& With this logic first hotel blocks money and you can not use it and after it debits the same amount of money that it blocks& That means that I have to have on my account double cost of booking. It's very strange and uncomfortable. Finally I had to pay extra 800 euroes with cash however all the sum of booking (about 2000 euroes) was debited from my card before& I will never stay with this hotel anymore for this unpleasant situation. Besides trying to solve this problem I almost missed my flight, I was the last passenger on board

A historic, grand building which has been modernised to high levels of comfort/ luxury, yet retains the charm of the original building. Ideally located on the Via Veneto, one of the most fashionable and exclusive areas in Rome. We received a free room upgrade during our three night stay- the Grandlux rooms were very spacious and well appointed. There is a spa and indoor swimming pool which is free of charge to guests; worthwhile if travelling with children to break up the sightseeing. This is truely a landmark hotel of Rome. The price of breakfast was not included and expensive. Due to it's size the hotel was used for several large business conventions during our stay- this can give the impression that they "take over the hotel".

Clean, great location, so so menu at the restaurant. With the price you should have access to use of a computer for free. At least for one hour a day at your room. Very hard with poor service at the room for use and only 15 minutes. More english tv availability. No information about the hotel in the room. No menu etc. The gift was great.

All staff were very good and profesional. Position is perfect for everything. Nice sized rooms, touch of class!! A kettle would have been a nice extra as I like a coffee as I am getting sorted at my leisure. Got a surprise when I checked out when they asked for 6 euros City Tax

Location Don't book here, if you need an invoice. Reception refused to issue an invoice when checking out. Booking.com would do that. Of course, you can't get an invoice from booking.com and since then I am chasing for that piece of paper. The hotel simply wouldn't respond to emails or calls.

Very little, except for location The hotel needs a proper renovation. The hallways and the rooms smell of old carpets, the place literally stinks. A two star experience - stained carpets and walls in the room, tired common areas.

“Loved this hotel!! Perfect location!! It is stunningly gorgeous!! Our room was spacious and perfectly well appointed. We needed to extend our stay and they accomodated us with the same rate. Concierge was knowledgeable of the city and directed us to the wonderful places to visit and restaurants to dine. The chocolate left in the room, the free bottled water as well as the bowl of fruit left by the hotel manager was such in great taste!! Impeccable service!! We will be returning again. Hopefully very soon.” Dorothea, Marina Del Rey, California |
