The location is inaccessible by taxi and the staff does not know to tell you the optimal transportation (e.g. what is possible to do with a water taxi). The staff is amateurs - at my checkout, the guy at the reception calls another person to ask something about the credit card and, not knowing that I understand italian, describes how I look to the person at the other side of the phone. I never understood why is that necessary :)
- The hotel was extremely clean - The front desk associates spoke good English - Complimentary breakfast every morning - Safe available in room & bar fridge - Easy to find hotel off main strip from bus station
- We stayed on the third floor which meant low beams and an awkward shower/bath tub. There was no stand-up shower which would be difficult for a tall person because of an old beam/low ceiling. I doubt this would be an issue on the other levels as we were on the top floor. - I thought travelers were exaggerating about the mosquito situation in Venice... My recommendation would be to avoid leaving the windows open in the room at night or you will get eaten alive! - Unfortunately there was no air conditioner available. We stayed for two nights at the end of September so the heat wasn't so bad, but for someone staying in the summer it might make for a restless night.
A nice quiet location walking distance to the Cruise terminal and walking distance to all Venice has to see.
The matress was firmer than we are used too...but the hotel was very nice.
I liked the quiet area. I liked the size of the hotel, not too large. The bed was very comfortable, there is a trick to the windows - they either open wide on both hinges or hang open slightly from one hinge.
I did find it quite hard to find, and especially with bags, it was tiring going up and down the steps at bridges.
The hotel is situated in a very quiet area of Venice: that means that after a long day in overly crowded places you can actually relax... We actually live in Venice, but needed to stay in a hotel for the night... we had often heard about the low standards in hotels in Venice, so we were very happy to see that Hotel Tiziano was a great exception... Our room was really spacious, well decorated and clean, and so was the bathroom. We were facing a canal but it was so quiet that we could sleep all night long with the windows open... All the members of the staff we dealt with were really friendly yet professional. The buffet breakfast was varied and with a good choice of sweet and savoury food. To sum it up...the rooms were comfortable, the staff was friendly, service was really good, with an EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY! I would most definitely recommend it to anyone!
Location in a quiet area of venice.
Only 6 tables for breakfast for a total of 10 rooms... we had to wait before having a seat.
Lovely view of the canal and beautifully decorated rooms with plenty of space and a lovely bathroom.
Quite difficult to find with the directions given. The hotel allows dogs but then won't let them in the breakfast room. We went down the first day and because the dog barked we were asked if we would eat in the room. Would have been nice if they carried our trays. Not dog friendly more dog tolerant.
Really nice appartment Nice atmosphere Nice staff
Kitchen in the appartment not really clean
If you want to discover the real Vencie and see how the locals live this is the hotel location for you. A 25 min beautiful walk through the windy streets of Venice lovely staff, great breakfast and extremely clean rooms. Would visit there again.
I loved the lighting in the room and the beautiful dresser, beyond that it is a flawlessly run, pleasant property; the a/c worked great, the room fresh and inviting - - simply a very satisfying place to stay.
Hotel Tiziano is not far away from central Venezia, but still enough far away from the main tourist areas
Everything was fantastic: staff, room, continental breakfast.
Nothing at all.
a little difficult to find but that's Venice!
great facility Hospital Stuff!! Nice breakfast with various choices
pretty far to walk from the other sites
The quaint atmosphere of both the hotel and its location.
The air conditioning in my in laws room didn't work well and they sweltered a bit.
We had the third floor room that had the skylights which turned out well because there was a late rainstorm that we were able to enjoy. We booked last minute and thought the location would not be the best. It turns out it was a few minute walk to the ferry and was quiet and away from the crowd.
The hotel provided a great location from which to explore Venice considering that we were leaving on a cruise. Close enough to Walk to and from transport hub. We had a clean and comfortable apartment a few blocks from the hotel.
Hotel tax needed to be paid in cash.
The staff are lovely, extremely helpful and can speak so many different languages, it is amazing. Rooms were clean and the hotel is in a wonderful part of Venice, away from the hustle and bustle and much quieter than some areas.
We stayed in an apartment which was really a little small for our family of 4. The living space (which was combined kitchenette, small table and 1 couch) was tiny as was one of the bedrooms. There was no kettle or tea/coffee making facilities provided which is always a norm for hotels here in Australia.
We stayed at an apartment a short distance from the hotel main building. The apartment was very spacious, 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms, kitchen & small sitting area. Our only regret was not staying there longer!
Realy close distans to San Marco park car if you travel by Car.
Breakfast buffet limited selection but adequate.
Nice small hotel in a more quiet area of Venice.
Small windows without insect screen, therefore mosquito problem during night
The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. My husband and I don't like to be surrounded by tourists when we travel, and the location of the hotel was perfect. It was a quiet area but only a short walk to a lot of great restaurants and the more touristy center.
I would warn anyone that the directions from the airport provided by the hotel were not very helpful. If my phone hadn't had GPS we would have been very lost. I would recommend following the directions provided for the bus and the vaporetto, but print out a map with the route marked for how to plan to walk once you get off the vaporetto at San basilio. If you don't have too much luggage, it's actually not a very long walk from Piazzale Roma. Maybe 15 min.
Good value. Staff were very friendly.
Super friendly staff and very helpful.
