Hotel Toledo    

Staff was exceptionally friendly, helpful and professional. I enjoyed having my breakfast on the terrace roof with sun above and plants next to me.

The only disadvantage was that room wasn't soundproof.

I have just returned from a 7 night stay at the Hotel Toledo which is a charming little hotel set in a superb location at the edge of the Spanish Quarter. It is situated in a quiet road just off the hustle and bustle of Via Toledo and is within walking distance of all the main tourist sites in Naples as well as the port for ferry access to the nearby islands. The hotel manager was absolutely superb and offered a great deal of advice on what to do and how best to do it, we certainly saw a lot more in and around Naples than we would have without him. The roof terrace was a great place to enjoy your breakfast in the morning as well as a drink at the end of a long day site seeing. The local area felt very safe and there are several excellent restaurants close to the hotel, all in all we had a superb stay and would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Naples.

Although the breakfast was plentiful and fresh it was exactly the same each day, could have done with some variation especially as we were there for a week.

The hotel is situated in the most interesting and charming part of the city - at the edge of the famous Quartieri Spagnoli, close to a newly opened metro station "Toledo". It's really a short way from the hotel to the main sights, it takes you 10 minutes to reach San Carlo, 15 minutes to go to the Museo Arheologico Nazionale e cosi via. We were pleased by a homelike atmosphere of the hotel, by a nicely furnished salotto, by a small cosy roof-terrace, and most of all by the helpful and affable staff. Highly recommend!

Our husband and I were in Naples for 4 days during the last days of August, beginning of September. We liked staying in Hotel Toldedo as the location was excellent. Close to everything. But also hotel staff was friendly. Hotel manager helped us with all your questions, gave excellent tips on how and where to go. Also no problem to leave your luggage at the hotel during the last day... If you are seeking for a hotel which is luxury & new, you don't need to go to hotel Toledo. But why should you want this as there is so much to see and do in Naples?!! You won't stay in a hotel room... If you are looking for value for money, for a cosy hotel with an excellent location & friendly staff, you should definetely go to hotel Toldeo. The hotel manager speaks also fluently English which is quite handy....

Very nice hotel in a small quiet street in center location. Good quality with sufficient space in room and large and comfortable bed.

The breakfast was not of high diversity but still all ingredients were fresh and sufficient for a normal breakfast.

Best place to discover amazing Napoli! It's in the heart if city and main sights are very near, most of them you can reach by foot. If you came to Napoli by car - forget about it, just drop it off in car rental office, traffic is madness and very difficult to park. Rooms in the hotel are very clean, and big enough, breakfast is basic, but ok. Staff are very friendly! I want to thank Pino, - without your directions and your kindness my impression of Napoli will be different, as for sure, I will see much more less sights, thank you very much! Hotel Toledo, is a best place to stay in Napoli!

A nice hotel with an extremely friendly and helpful staff, which made our stay even more pleasant; cool and very clean rooms; within walking distance of the sea, public transportation, shops, bars & restaurants. We really recommend this place!

While the Toledo comes highly recommended I felt that all the common areas of the hotel are rather cluttered. For example I counted 110 chairs in the Rooftop Breakfast area. The room I was in was not spacious and the mattress protector on the double bed felt like it was the type that is used in an old people’s home. The bedroom itself was well furnished; and everything was clean. The big plus about the Toledo is that it is set back several streets from the main roads of Naples so one can sleep in relative peace. I am afraid I could not get my head around the Hitachi Air Conditioning remote control (which anyway was partially broken and held together with tape). It had 11 buttons so some basic written instructions on how to switch it on and off would have helped. The Toledo WILL BE well be better located when the missing stations on the Naples underground system are finally opened. (PS: On room sizes - I do not know why nowadays Hotels do not provide information on the Booking.Com site of the average size of all their double Rooms as a crude indicator of room sizes. PS: On the clutter - In my opinion the Hotel needs an Interior Designer to give the Toledo a quick look over and sort the common areas out.)

Friendly staff. Good ratio value/cost.

Lovely place in the heart of Napoli. The receptionist was fantastic and helped us so much with directions, luggage. Pity about the breakfast was not to have a decent coffee to start the day but really appreciated the fact to be able to have breakfast outside on the roof terrace. Would highly recommend the place.

Signage for the hotel was excellent. The hotel was clean and staff were friendly. The manager was particularly helpful.

La situation géographique, l’accueil, la gentillesse, la disponibilité, la terrasse sur le toit où l’on peut prendre son petit déjeuner, le quartier très vivant et central. De très bons conseils pour les restaurants et les excursions (Pompéi, Vésuve, Capri). Hôtel très calme malgré le quartier animé.

Dommage la station de métro « Toledo » n’est toujours pas opérationnel !!!! L’ascenseur est peut être petit (3 personnes) mais il fonctionnait.

Staff molto gentile, disponibile e cortese. Fantastica la terrazza per le colazioni! Camera pulita e confortevole. Posizione centralissima a 50 metri dalla stazione della metro e a 5 minuti a piedi da piazza del Plebiscito!

De hartverwarmende, gastvrije ontvangst door O.A. Pino en andere receptiemedewerkers. Uitstekende centrale ligging in een van die leuke smalle straatjes met veel restaurants en winkels vlakbij. Voor Italiaanse begrippen royaal ontbijt op heerlijk dakterras.

Hotel in Posizione centrale, all'inizio dei quartieri spagnoli. L hotel esternamente sembra davvero mal tenuto ed invece gli ambienti interni sono stati totalmente ristrutturati .

Le camere sono molto piccole .

La posizione dell'albergo, all'inizio dei vivacissimi "Quartieri spagnoli" e a due minuti a piedi dalla centralissima via Toledo e dalla nuova, bellissima, stazione metropolitana della linea 1. In dieci minuti a piedi si raggiungono anche la stazione Montesanto della linea metropolitana 2 e il porto Beverello dove ci sono gli imbarchi per le isole di Capri e Ischia. Molto vicine anche piazza del Plebiscito e Castel Nuovo (Maschio Angioino). La stanza singola è semplice ma con tutto il necessario: doccia e servizi privati, tv, frigo-bar, condizionatore e letto alla francese. La colazione è servita a buffet e vi è un'ampia scelta, tra cui le sfogliatelle ricce che adoro. Lo staff si è dimostrato cordiale e disponibile come tutti I napoletani che ho incontrato. Napoli è provvista di una rete ferroviaria metropolitana molto estesa che porta comodamente a Pozzuoli, Cuma, Ercolano, Pompei, Caserta, Sorrento e altri centri importanti e famosi. Se fosse più rispettata e curata sarebbe una delle città più belle d'Europa. Ci tornerò.
