The staff was very friendly and helpful with dinner reservations. Beautiful old hotel with lots of unusual little nooks for relaxing. A bit expensive but it is right down town within walking distance of everything.
Can't think of anything negative about this hotel.
decoration, location, breakfast, wi-fi, rooftop garden
The location was suburb, the staff was helpful and welcoming
The room was tiny, and there was noise from the court yard, next time I'm going to go for a bigger room
The hotel rooms are a little run down and would need some investment in re-doing the bathrooms, the paints, the electricity etc. That said, the location of the hotel is excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly.
The breakfast was not great, especially the coffee (very average for Italian standards) and the cakes (some were a little stale).
The staff was wonderful, the location was perfect and we loves the rooms and the terrace! I will be back as soon as I can!
Friendly unobtrusive staff.
Rooms for 3 were so large and clean Rooftop views. Great staff..
There was nothing I did not like.
large quality well decorated rooms
could not get internet in room.
Great location . Excellent breakfast. Swank palazzo !
There was water dripping out of the ceiling near room 432. Probably a leaking pipe that needs to be fixed.
I loved the Italian opulence in the furnishings and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. This was our second visit to the hotel and would definitely stay there again.
Would have liked to have coffee making facilities in the room.
Angelo was so incredibly kind and helpful.. He really went overboard trying to make sure we were happy. The rooftop bar and garden were so gorgeous. What a delightful surprise. We loved the bartenders there as well. Rosa on our floor treated us like we were familglia. 5 star stay.
That we had to leave.
Old fashioned rambling hotel. Eccentric and wonderful antique furniture and prints etc. Staff were terrific ; couldn't have been more helpful.
We didn't have a problem but, due to the age and nature of the building, some rooms are very small ( not unusual for Florence ) -- it's worth paying for an upgrade.
Great location. Great breakfast.
Bed wasn't that comfy.
Fabulous hotel in prime location!
The hotel is very central and charming!
Loved all the common areas (sitting rooms, roof-top deck, bar, hallways, lobby and breakfast room). All personnel were extremely gracious and helpful.
First time in Florence and very happy with this hotel selection: Stayed on the 4th floor, with a room right on the lovely roof terrace (rm #412 - this may not be for everybody, can get busy). Classic Florentine roofscape view. The roof terrace also has a little belvedere you can climb to which is charming. The 4th floor also has a large sitting room with a fireplace and tapestries and is nice for hanging out in and reading etc. The location is excellent on a beautiful street. The staff were friendly, helpful and cheerful.
friendly staff great location cozy room beautiful building with gorgeous garden on the roof
The location was excellent. Staff most helpful.
Perfect Loved the terrace our farewell lunch with friends was divine. The most elegant stay I have had in Firenze to date.
The hotel has a wonderful location. The terrace is beautiful and has lovely views of the city.
Too expensive, outdated, and more of a 2 or 3 star hotel on a good street. Hard beds and dingy bathroom. Very rude staff and bad service. Worst part of our honeymoon.
Stayed here 15 years ago and loved it then. Now it is even better.
The charm and location of the property
The facilities did not match the rate paid
Professional staff, well-kept property. Fantastic rooftop garden. Perfect locations.
Small room with slightly dated finishings.
