We would return to this B&B because we liked the value for the money, the smell of fresh baked items, including perfectly made croussants, every morning, the thoughtful rides to the bus stop, the beautiful view from our room & from the dinning terrace of the small, quaint town of Sant'Angelo & the closeness to "Gissells" irresistibly wonderful gormet Italian restaurant (right up the hill & South West), where we kept returning night after night throughout our visit.
We would have liked hotter water in the shower & although we felt the breakfasts were great, the dinner we ate was not quite worth the money we paid for it (We ate anorexic rabbit that left us hungry). Warning to those climbing down hill to the hot mineral springs: Be careful where you walk into the sea: Our friend ended up with a very serious burn to her foot.
Sergito, free natural thermal 5 minutes down the road. Someone takes you to the nearest bus stop anytime you want. Staff give great advises, are very nice and accommodating.
I arrived there, it was dark, so I took a cab and it cost a lot of money. I didn't expect it to be that far from the port. But next to the hotel, there are plenty of things to do.
This was a little piece of paradise sat in the hills over looking sant'angelo. The staff were so helpful and accomodating and made our holiday a real treat. The food was great as was the coffee & cakes. The hotel is a little bit out of the way but as we sat on our balcony and took in the views we soon forgot about that.
Staff was super friendly and the location was amazing
The staff were great! They even arranged someone to pick us up at the ferry. Clean, comfortable, what a view! Breakfast was excellent. Public hot springs within walking distance. Restaurants within walking distance. When we were ready to leave they even arranged a taxi to pick us up and take us to the ferry drop off. We would come again.
The hotel has a beautiful terrace, with an amazing view, where you can take all yours meals, or just sit to relax and appreciate the view. The food is great! Everything that Umberto cooks is delicious!! It's run by a family that treats you just like that, family! Everyone, with no exception, is always very kind and available. The near beaches are wonderful, with warm and clear water, and the weather is was always good, even now in october, which is great!! :)
Niente! Everything's wonderful :)
This was our first time in Ischia and if we're going back again in the future, I would definitely consider staying again at Hotel Torre Sant'Angelo. Pietro is an amazing guy, he is helpful and very kind. The entire family that runs this place is lovely. On the first night we had dinner there and the food (including the typical rabbit "all'ischitana") was amazing. The view is stunning and the swimming pool facilities are great fun! It was lovely to have a spritz while laying on the border of the pool! :-) We had no car or scooter but Pietro is available to collect you at the nearest bus stop, even if taking the bus (number 1) was not such a pleasant experience, so for the next trips we opted for a taxi. They will be happy to arrange this for you as well. Breakfast is satisfactory: you will find both sweet and savoury options.
Should I mention anything to improve, I think that the next investment that Pietro and his family need to do is for showers and tv sets in the rooms. They both need an upgrade. When this is done this place will become a little jewel.
The staff was very helpful. The food , though limited was good. If you want to find a spot that is very very quiet and totally isolated..this is the spot for you.
Without a car you are lost. We took a taxi because we knew we might not find this place. We were right. When the taxi driver stopped he looked at us and said,"all you have here is the view". We did not stay the two days we had booked, too far to walk to anything that was remotely exciting. Even during the day, all European guests left for the sea or a town...they had a car. The booking. Com said it was 200 meters from Panza...this is not true. My advice, have a car. It was just too remote and quiet.
Communication with people who made this hotel and created wondreful atmosphere in it can be compare with the beautiful view of the sea from terrace of the Torre Sant'Angelo. It was wonderful time. Mrs. A. SEDOVA
The view of Sant'Angelo from the terrace and sea view rooms is unobstructed and quite beautiful. The hotel architecture and furnishings are somewhat outdated, and typical of a 3 star attitude. We had a jr suite (basic bedroom and small bathroom) which hosted a large terrace with rattan type furniture, however during the day and late afternoon the sun was too hot to be outside. Morning coffee is plentiful and well prepared. Packaged cakes, cereals, and a small buffet are offered. The location is a rambling 1/2+ hour walk to Sant'Angelo. The road is not lit. We took a water taxi back at Euro 10 per person night rate, dropping us at the Sorgeto which is close to the hotel. The staff was very kind and helpful, allowing us to spend the afternoon after checkout. Parking is available, and limited to about 5-6 small cars.
The spa pools could use a good cleaning.
We really enjoyed our stay at Torre Sant'Angelo hotel. All the staff were friendly and everyone there made us feel welcome. The room we stayed in was spacious and clean, the beds comfortable and it had an amazing view of the sea. It's walking distance to the sea where volcanic rock keeps the seawater warm - a lot of young people bathe in the sea at night time. The food was also great - I especially enjoyed helping myself to the variety of breakfast food that was laid out in the morning. Totally worth it!
The hotel is situated in a quiet and remote area by the sea which adds to its charm and so obviously it doesn't have many amenities within easy reach. Also, it's a 10-15 minute uphill walk to the nearest bus stop so it might not be suitable for some people.
We travelled the vast majority of the island and this location is one of the best. The hospitality is second to none and the restaurants of sant Angelo are fantastic.
Everything Brilliant views Friendly staff Great food Out of main tourist chaos Nice thermal pool
Pietro and his family were so helpful and kind, and his brother is a fantastic cook, we ate there every evening! Wonderful mineral pools, a quiet, beautiful room and large balcony overlooking the sea.
:-) The view, of course. The welcoming of Pietro and his family The food (excellent and relatively cheap) I surely recommend this hotel
:-/ The location : far from all if you don't have a car. So, taxi, car or bus are needed
Stunning location with amazing views Delicious food Fantastic & friendly staff
Everything!! Amazing place with amazing people, thanks to all staff, for the symphaty e Availability! Thanks for all!!
We stayed there forva week and we had a venry confortable room with all the facilities and an enchating view from or balcony and from the dining terrace. The food was really gourmand and i suggest to stay there to eat some evenings. All the members of the family and also the staff are definitly kind and helpful...for sure they will try their best to make you happy and relaxed. The position is very closed to sorgeto bay and in 200 mt you can easily reach the bus stop, (by feet or with the hotel busservice always available at need) to all the others destination, fumarole and maronti , citara and cava dell'isola beach , that are max 15 min far from Panza. Do not forget to visit Sant'angelo. I will come back for sure!
I must say I was very impressed with Torre Sant Angelo hotel.Clean hotel , really perfect sea view, lovely staff. We will definitely come back as we had a great time.
No wi-fi in the room( just at the bar restaurant).
Very nice view, nice and helpful staff, excellent breakfast.
WiFi only in the reception area.
superb panorama, nice stuff, thermal pools!, very good meal, really big , comfortable seaview, balcony rooms, very near Sorgeto. and everything by the way...
This isn't the fanciest place you could stay, but the kindness of the hosts and the views made me fall in love with Sant'Angelo. Great for families with kids, or not. Just go, you will love it too.
Amazing service, daily fresh food and a free shutle to closest shop/busstop
The food was AMAZING at the hotel. It far exceeded our expectations, and we rarely ate anywhere else because of it. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and had the most amazing view of the Mediterranean. The hotel is also located very close to one of the best free hot springs in the area - we didn't have to go far to appreciate some of the best natural aspects the island has to offer!
Some people may not appreciate the location, because it is outside of the major tourism area. We liked this aspect, however, and enjoyed seeing some of the charm the smaller towns had to offer.
Very good location, close to termal spring Baia di Sorgeto. Own termal pool in hotel. Fantastic view from room and hotel. Good breakfast. Friendly staff, including Russian-(and Ukrainian-)speaking girl Dana.
No refrigerator, no tea-kettle and even no glasses for water/wine in the room.
